Great...just found this posting and the Midi File too...my ability to play far exceeds my ability to read sheet music so thank you Synthesia...besides I have to remember it then! :-)
Very enjoyable. I've seen a lot of attempts at notation of performances, and this is quite good. It accurately reflects what was played. Plus, it's a nice, spirited rendition in the style of the time. Of course, Joplin wouldn't have approved, but he's not here.
@nezkeys79 Not only that, but the notes are in the wrong places too. Opening a MIDI file into a scoring program does not sheet music make (not without a LOT of mindful editing, anyway). This is especially true when it's a hand-played MIDI file like this one by Bill Edwards, thus isn't even in time with the MIDI clock.
It should be noted that this is a Bill Edwards performance of Maple Leaf, which was only inspired by Jelly Roll's version, which is quite different, and can be found elsewhere on YouTube.

I always hate how dirty the MIDIs look when they're opened in music notation software. They're great start points though!

for some reason I hate watching these things. Is it just me or is the blue line always in the wrong place?
