The only think that i m angry with my self is that 3 years that i didn't training ! Also about that stupid internet jerks that only know to write stupid things.

Delta wing Chun Kung Fu is fire Kung Fu The way you defend and attack is very good then you guys go from there to a take down or lock very good. I also see while in the takedown or lock transsition the person is uprooted (aka) has no balance. drop a line

QSN2006, You are right this may not work in MMA. MMA is a sport, and these guys are training for reality. What you see in this video is merely 5% of what and how they train.
In real life, I don't wanna be rolling on the ground for 3 minutes trying to submit the enemy, or try to out box or out kick him, I wanna finish the fight before it happens, this is reality not a sport. It just shows how little you know to make such silly comments.
well said sami ive seen your fights on the tv and you have come on well ,i remember you and erkin going through the whole class one after the other to build stamina ,;)
You are right these applications are not designed for MMA fight as MMA is fighting with rules. This type of fighting is designed for street application to destroy your opponent in seconds, not standing around fighting in a controlled environment for 3-5 minutes with a referee and a doctor standing by and judges.
mma is a sport so they design it to drag it out for as long as possible. Plus the viewers need a show so they can't fight for real. A real fight ends in less then a minute.
hi bruce, I've sent you an email through youtube but i dont know if you got it, please send me some detail on my email - it is "georgevs" at gmail. thanks!
This is not applicable to street fighting. After blocking an opponents punch and countering once the opponent isn't simply going to not resist the proceeding attacks.
This is just a drilling not sparing - we learn to apply techniques in this way. Its like hitting a bad -the bad doesn't hit back but you are still training your skills.
we are located in larnaca off makariou avenue and in nicosia in kenedy avenue in a besement opposite akis express you are well come to join the family
in reality u close the gap and hit if they move u hit if they hit u hit first by cutting the line of attack then guess what u hit again the drills teach u to get to this point deltas drills are very good for this.
u need to learn the fancy stuff so the animal fighting comes as second nature .these drills are for flow and to make sure your lines are correct if your basics are wrong then you are.you learn how to ride a bike and never forget this is the same.
I think it it very difficult to judge what you see on a youtube video. I have seen many schools whose Chi Sao is amazing, but in reality they cannot fight. They don't realise that you need to practise being able to use your skills in a fight in order for you to be effective in the street. Without REALITY BASED TRAINING, your Martial art is useless. Delta have a big emphasis on reality. This is why we learn martial arts is it not? For reality?
Any Martial arts you learn is good - for me Delta was effective so i stuck with the system and learnt it from a very wise Martial arts teacher who showed me the logic of wing chun and how to apply the system to real street applications. Other people prefer to wrestle or box - my point is you should learn something as it will give you an advantage if every you need one.
Sparring is great and we all need to do it with different opponents and different styles of martial arts to help us self improve. If you have trained delta wing chun you will know that the art is designed for destroying your opponent not to spar with them. The type of sparring we do would be seen as to direct and to dangerous to use in a ring. Its difficult to explain you have to train it to understand.
what you said is true, im a wing chun practitioner too, just that by looking at your videos, doing combos are awesome, applying it is another thing, ppl do resist in fights, whereas in this video, the opponent goes with the flow of letting you beating them up, you kind of understand what im saying? =]
bottom line, combos i learn for my masters is quite hard applying in reality fights. =]
The drills we do are to develop reaction speed, timing and distance - we don't fight like this in the street - in the street it always ends up more messy.
The point is after training your drills over and over it becomes second nature, so when someone attacks you you just react without thinking. The sensitivity drills like lapsao make you sensitive enough to use your opponents strength to your advantage and if they are weaker than you you strike.
For any martial art to be effective in street fighting yo need a strong foundation (Basic structure) without this your techniques will be weak. Its like teaching a beginner chi sao from the first week or month of training them he will have no idea what he or she is doing - they will become sensitive but without any structure they are weak.
Because what FEDOR does is a SPORT. What you are seeing here is reality. In the street I want to destroy my opponent, not make him submit or jump on him!
u dont know shit about wing chun and rather than thinking that your idol is the best you better shut up without knowing..and these sifu keep a low profile, they dont go around fighting without a reason like fedor does..he gets paid to beat up,these sifu use wing chun only when they have no other choice..i dont know fedor and i cant say for sure what he can and can not do,all im saying is that you shouldnt say things you are not sure
because challenging someone without a reason is more stupid than even you..and you dont know anything about wing chun you are just a retarted guy who sees wrestling and thing that those shit actually work in real situations..
nuff respect to sifu lakis, michael, ziya and everyone else at the delta wing chun academy, i miss training here and hopefully im going to return soon
the best wing chun iv seen ever

Nice. Looks like Wing Chun mixed with Jujitsu.
Two very effective systems. The stuff im seeing here I respect, looks, for the most part, very effective and useful for the street. Well done.

It's surprising how many people fail to understand this.
infamousviewer 2 years ago
I kindly disagree.
I started training with Lakis when I was 14
I trained with him for about 8 years before he moved to Cyprus.
I have had 42 cage fights and in one piece still smiling.
Its unfair to say this wont work in mma... they arent doing mma training. they are doing wing chun.
We make out letters from any style and we make our own words in the cage.
All the best to everyone what ever they train.

Works great on someone standing in front of you in class or in movies. Unfortunately it has zero application in a MMA fight.
