  • I would love to see an iPhone / iPad version of this! I'd buy it immediately.

  • Why are there no sound effects?

  • @ClassicVideoGamerMag i know what u mean..if the music was more epic, it could understandable to have no sfx..also, tho the jumping looks really good, i wish the horizontal movement was like 3x faster

  • Very nice!

  • Awesome game, wish they had developers like you guys back then, say im making a game for the PC engine CD , but on all platforms for download, any tips?

  • EPIC game .. If i played that game on a C64 back then i would probobly Play it all the time ..Graphics are well made , Music PERFECT especialy whean it plays only time too time too get you in the mood .. The game is preaty casual for C64 standards but the backtracking fills the extra time. I hope they make another game .. I will play it again on my PSP C64 Emulator.

  • I dont .. understand .. why this game was made. I'm sorry .. I'm all for indie games .. ive bought heaps of them .. but I cannot see myself even reaching for my credit card for a C64 game developed in 2009 ... thats just .. too much. Remake the game for PC and I'll pay for it.

  • @DarkTenka Because some people like Commodore 64 games.

  • @mikechicago I love C64 games .. I own a C64, A lot of games on the C64 are even better than commercial games today. But I dont see why you would make a totally new game on the C64, when you can make it for the PC with better graphics/sound .. and it would even be EASIER to make. It would also be more accessible since there are plenty of people who dont even know what a C64 is...

  • @DarkTenka There are many reasons to develop a game not for the world's current leading platform. For example, I am interested in C64 programming because I have a large library of rescued C64 books and history with the machine. Others might be interested in the aesthetics, SID, the politics of a computer made "for the masses, not the classes," nostalgia, code constraints. And with emulation, you can play a game like this on pretty much any modern platform, from PC to mobile phones.

  • The emulation crawls.

  • It's more the screen capturing that sucks. For some reason the program didn't work very well with the otherwise excellent VICE emulator.

  • I bought the game via digital download. The best 2 £ ever spent in my life: reccomended for all (especally if you like the retro-flavour :) )

  • So is there no cassette version? id prefer a tape even though my tape deck is playing up rite now......

  • This seems really classic even if it´s really isen´t. *Runs over and takes a peek ready to buy some games*

  • Check it out: He's fighting the Chestbursters from Alien in the Main Hall section of the game.

Will there be facehuggers and drones too?

Ha. But seriously. It is quite cool that commodore 64 games are being made even today.

  • Games are still developed for the C64? holy crap! O.o

  • haha of course.. head over to cosine org uk to get some FREE ones =)

  • Wow, we NEED more developers like them. Would have bought it if I owned a C64.

  • Well, I don't have a C64 either (anymore) but it's just as fun on a modern computer.
