hey does anyone know how long the waiting list is currently at to join the navy? i was told by a friend that its at 24 months is this true anyone.

i hear if u want to be a submariner you'll get in alot quicker than the surface fleet.

its no where near 24 months unless you want to be a diver, if your thinking of submariner they will take your hand off.

@afishcalledjohn Ah good luck for your training aswell. And same here, passed my final tests in Feb, but been told I will start training 'around' April 2011! But will be worth the wait.

@toddrileyx I have just passed all my tests to be a communications and information systems specialist on a submarine and im waiting about 12 monts for a job :(

@toddrileyx I forgot to mention, the waiting list depends on the type of job that you want to do. Its longer for some things and shorter for others. Try contacting your local careers office they can tell you better.

Im Joining the royal navy and im concidering going on a sub i just wondered if anyone has any experiance with them could they let me know what the life is like? And i like how we put Royal Navy on the side of our missile just to let the enemy know who fucked them up! :)
