  • @mickey6192 I would suggest going to his website and emailing him, he's not been on YouTube for ages!

  • steve. i remember you saying you have special K for breakfast. when you pour ceral in to a bowl does it weigh more or less then 100g with out the milk. thanks this is just so i can get a idea of the serving size. is it about the size of a fist? big help if you answer thanks

  • I'm trying to get in shape. I had a personal trainer session today and I felt like I was gona die!

  • steve besides gfp, do you recommend any supplements? like creatine or protein drinks?

  • Hey Steve are you really dead?

  • I so agree with you. You do not want to start hurting your body if you have ALOT OF FAT to loose.

  • hey Steve do you use cheat days and do you reccomend them when lifting weights?

  • steve I hear that If you exercise alot but still don't get strict proper nutrition it'll cause muscle loss Is that so??

  • @oldbear92 If you train really hard and your muscles dont get the nutrition they need to repair, the microfibres that you broke down during your workout wont rebuild before your next workout and youll just break them down more.

  • Rip you steroid taking sumabitch

  • I hear he died rip

  • @NikolayFPS well he just sent me a message today regarding diet sodas so i think he is alive and well

  • Just dont do what I did. Never worked out for years and years, then BOOM one day went out and bought a treadmill and ran as far and long as I could. Next day my knees hurt sooo bad I couldnt work out for weeks

  • Looks much better the the video I saw.

  • Hi Steve, I've had small calves all my life, I now look totally out of proportion to my calves. I am now training my calves four times a week and frequently get cramped calves in the middle of my sleep, is this the wrong approach to the gains I need?

  • @MaaNonu123 Eat bananas (potassium) daily and add some salt to your meals. This stops cramps.

  • jam packed wit info to the point. ur friking awsomeness is out of control!! thanks!!

  • mr steve .what should i do if my arm don't grow as much as any part in my body ??

  • Love your videos. You plan on making any more?

  • Hi Steve, I'm currently training with a 3-split with 1 day focusing on legs. My problem is that I don't want my legs to increase in size any more. I tried working out with only 15 repititions per set but I still gained mass on my lower body. Is there any way I can get the beneficial effects of leg training (e.g. burning massive amounts of calories) or do I have to stop it? Greetings from Germany, Sebastian

  • @JakWho92 Less weight, less training or stopping training will all slow leg development. Also, cardio is still better than leg training for burning calories. Also, watching calorie intake is very important if you're trying to lose body fat.

  • Thanks for answering my questions. One more in regards to this video. I have been doing this workout for a few weeks and I'm ready to split my body and do half one day and half the next. What bodyparts should I do on each day? I was thinking upper body and lower body but then again they aren't evenly split up

  • Hi steve. i would love you to answer and question for me. about chest workout here. is doing Bench Press:10,8,6 one week, then doing 5,5,5 2nd week, 8,6,4 3rd week. I do 4 sets of 8,8,8,5 For chest fly. is that a good chest workout to build muscle

  • hey, was wondering if being sore the next day from a workout burns more calories than not being sore??? =) thanks!

  • I was wondering what you think of doing some little exercises to strengthen your rotator cuff after a shoulder workout. I have had a shoulder injury and have recovered but was told I should do these exercises to prevent further injury.

    Thanks

  • @jonnyI3 It couldn't hurt but it will not guarantee you won't or can't be injured in the future.

  • @BodyPerformanceTV I heard in one of your radio shows to move the body a bit during lifting to avoid injury. ie. not standing statue still. Do you have a video or radio show posted somewhere that tells us other tips on how to prevent injury? I just really don't want to sideline myself again...

  • @jonnyI3 There are 40 free audio files on how to safely and effective perform many of the best exercises on my website. When you have time listen to them. Lots of great info. Train hard!

    Steve

  • i am doing the workout from last one month i feel sour when i do the excercise and after one or two hour no pain??? and also when i started working out i only feel pain first two days thats it?wat it means???? i dont see any results also. i do workout every single day for 6 days.

  • @rishabkashyap143 Results take months to see.

  • thanks for all the info!! really helps in the long run....just wanted to ask if tighting your abs throughout the day help with burning calories or anything at all?? i know it helps for posture...thanks again!

  • Hi Steve, Love your work. This statement comes up very often in few books "Do 1-6 reps with 90% of 1RM for (Strength and some Hypertrophy), 8-12 reps with 70% of 1RM for (Mainly Hypertrophy and some Strength) and 12 + reps with about 50% for (Mostly endurance)". Third one being most obvious, but first two aren't to me. If the goal is to get most out of your workout to get bigger, which do you favor? Is there a significant difference between the first two?

  • @tub78602 I used all techniques. Sometimes going heavy with lower reps or a bit lighter for a few more. ALL intense contractions build muscle BUT lifting heavy build bigger strength.

  • @decisionvida Just Gatorade after a workout and then just regular food.

  • Steve, will these workouts help in body building? I am going to start doing these workouts, will they get me in shape and make me look good by summer if i do them as you say?

Are these workouts better then p90x and will they give me better results?

Please respond i am counting on these workouts to get me in nice shape by summer.x

  • @walk2cure Yes. Also check out my site for audio files explaining all the best exercises as well as pictures.

  • @BodyPerformanceTV

Is that yes an answer to all my questions? How many sets do i do?

  • Hi, what do you know about omega 3 fish oil ?

I've heard study after study and people say that it is very good for you and has been proven to boost your metabolism.

I've read that it should be "molecualry distilled" to prevent mecury dosage, and that you should take this many pills or this much.

and that it increases your BMR.

If this is true, I would love that.

But I don't know for sure.

    Can you help?

  • hi i am 21 years old, and have been lifting for 6 years, i weigh 180 pounds. i can rite now bench press 330. My only goal rite now is to bench press 350, what in your opinion would be the main thing i would need to do to get there?

    rick

  • Hey Steve, I have been watching your videos for about 2 years now. I must say you have the most simple "real" approach to fitness. There is way too much focus on the small stuff like "when to eat, when to train, cardio first, cardio last..blah blah.

One question I do have is Will occassional long distance running comprimise my muscle growth significantly? My main focus is weight trainning however, I love to run. I run maybe 20km a week and will probably run 3 or 4 half marathons a year.

  • Listen to Steve, his information/style is easy to grasp, and it works...I started out at 267, and the information/knowledge I gained here helped me get down to 208, I currently hover at about 215, but my body is more toned, I have more stamina (2 things which work well together in the dating arena), & I feel better...keep it up Steve, and could you please say in a video "i lift things up and put them down"...that is my new workout slogan b/c I lift things up and put them down

  • @Woodsey24 I cannot possibly agree with this more.

  • Hey man Love your video's. Iv started working out this year, I was 257 and lost a total of 11.5 lbs so far in about 9 days. Im allowing my self about 2000 calories a day . Now if i Exercise and burn more calories then I eat is this Unhealthy? People tell me that your only supposed to lose 2 lbs a week . I don't feel sick or tired at all i feel good after i work out sometimes i feel a little shaky but that happens after 1h30 min on the elliptical Please help.

  • @Sauce1977 Heavier people can lose more than 2 pounds a week. 2000 calories is a good amount. You will not be unhealthy.

  • @Sauce1977 I also have a BlogTalkRadio com show. You can listen there or on iTunes. Search Steve Turano. Recent shows can also be heard on my site home page at the bottom once they upload. • @BodyPerformanceTV thanks again for the info Steve its much appreciated. I will check those out on Itunes.

  • What happened to the radio show on tan talk radio? I miss it.

  • @Amiel912 Sorry! We're taking a break. Soo many other things we have to do. You can listen to old show at greatfatlosspill com

  • @BodyPerformanceTV What are you up too now steve?

  • @fcuk90001 Hoping to publish a weight loss book by June.

  • can someone give me a good advanced weekly workout for like professionals? just like body parts and on what day of the week? because ive been doing uper body than lower body and space them out a few days in my week and the rest of days were cardio and i had a break. i cant find a plan anywhere elce =(.

  • @Woodsey24 Agreed and how is it people at my gym or athletes on tv claim of gaining 15-25 pds of muscle in 2 months is that even possible

  • @Woodsey24 Yeah thats very true and alot of people who try and bulk up do the wrong types of workouts doing too many extra reps getting not enough rest and eating as much as they can. But then again you have to have the other stuff in check before you can worry about lifting otherwise your lifting just to lift is what i mean

  • hey steve, i have been having a problem with tricept musle groath. i feel like no matter what i do my tricepts never get stronger compaired to the rest of my body and its hard for me to get a good burn on both arms as well as its hard to gain strength in my tricepts. any tips? nice video keep them up.

  • what one is the back exercise?

  • @Woodsey24 Its very important to have your protein and people who dont get enough from it from there diet supplement with the shakes which help out alot. It shouldnt be just the basis of your lifting and wanting to grow muslce. Theres getting enough sleep, lifting correctly intensely and getting enough rest. Balanced diet maybe more then the avg person. Multivitamin Minerals. Fish Oil, and taking your protein will help out alot. Why say just worry about carb intake and not protein as well

  • @Woodsey24 AGREED!!!!! HAve a great weekend as well. Steve

  • thanx for the advice man! You inspire me to train! :D

  • Even thou your experience Lifter do yo still get saw after every workout ? could talk bout this on your Radio show thanks

  • @wyvilboy Yes. And I want to be sore. That means my muscles are chagning and getting and staying strong.

  • Dear Steve, I have been watching your videos for a long time, but I was always too lazy to try your methods. Lately I finally realized I needed to turn myself around. See, I am a teenager and I used to weigh over 180 lbs. but now I weigh around 153. Since I have started listening to your videos, I have seen good success. I loved your talks about calorie deficit. They are what really changed my mindset. I wanted to write you because I wanted people to see that this stuff works. Thanks Steve.

  • hey steve i ve been told that drinking and eating at the same time its not the best, that we should eat and after an hour drink, is it true?

  • @sefmm NO.

  • Steve, is working out twice a day alright? For example, if I do back earlier in the day and then later do chest or shoulders, would that okay or should it always be on separate days??

  • hey thanks for answering my question on the show!! Makes a lot of of sense.

  • Can you please make a video about correct use of steroids. You've obviously done them, can you walk us through the correct cycles and dosage. Maybe even different kinds i.e. sustenon, deca, synthol that would probably be better than these random yappings

  • @OutpostPlaylist Sorry never done them. But thanks for the compliment.

  • @OutpostPlaylist lol, a bit off topic, but I wouldn't consider synthol a steroid. it's more like something that fills up the muscle. Greg valentino used it^^. To be called a steroid it has to be a hormone I think. Not sure about the definition

  • steve, curious as of to why there are some people in the gym that have wayy more muscle than me, but i out bench them and can lift more than them on a lot of other lifts,.. why is this??

  • steve..CHIN UPS vs CURLS for biceps?

  • @SuperGtellez Barbell and Dumbbell curls for biceps...absolutely. Chins are for back.

  • ive been hearing abut this thing called hcg thats supposed to help boost weight through injections of a hormone that makes your body use what they call "abnormal fat". i go to the gym for school, do P90x at home, and i watch what i eat, but im losing barely any weight. i weigh 192 and my goal weight is between 165-170. This hcg protocol claims that it can have results like 25lbs in 35-40 days, and thats very appealing, but it sounds too good to be true. can you please do a video on it soon? thx!

  • Whats your take on free weights vs machines? I'm thinking free weights are more effective. Do you have suggestions a pure free weight workout program?

  • @Kelvin702 Free weights are always better but you need machines for exercises like push downs, cable rows, pull downs, leg press, etc.

  • Hey Steve I know this question is very weird but do you have any workout/nutrition tips on how to look like gerard butler in the movie 300?

  • @mikemillzy92 1. Time to start lifting and doing cardio. 2. A LOT OF THAT WAS SPECIAL EFFECTS...trust me!

  • Hi Steve, i wanna clarify my doubt on this, when you say eating less causes weight loss. You mean eating less than my BMR? and i heard you cannot create a calorie deficit more than 500 as it would be dangerous but i assume thats only if you are just dieting, but if you are also doing cardio you can even create a 1000 deficit because its from your fat reserve. Please clarify..!! i'm bothered by this for quite awhile

  • @xxxnicolxxx Call my radio show Sat morning 9-10 am EST time and I will be glad to explain. 1-866-826-1340 TanTalk1340 com

  • @BodyPerformanceTV ah sorry i overlooked your msg on my channel! thanks for answering!! going to download now ^_^

  • Still looking good, Steve. Now that I'm getting thin again, I'm starting to lift more weights. However, I'd rather be skinny and toned like Bruce Lee instead of really bulky like you are. Is that ok or is it better to have more muscle? Or is it just a matter of personal preference?

  • @shiningcross Just a matter of preference. But remember, building muscle is a slow process so we want to speed it up as much as possible and not waste time. That's why you have to lift with intensity.

  • hey steve, i'm a really skinny guy like 120lbs, fast metabolism, i watched your videos about protein intake and how exercise is what builds muscle. I was wondering if it would be overkill for me to take 1g of protein per pound? I was told I need to eat more first in order to start working out, i bought a lot of high protein foods and i'm not quite sure what to do right now

  • @CeloxUmbra USing it will not huirt you. Gaining weight can be done by either taking in more protein shakes or just eating more.

  • Beginner question: Steve what's your opinion about the pump or burning. Is it necessary to achieve good results?

  • @abcborgess Neither is needed for muscle growth. I'll talk about this on my Saturday morning radio show.

  • @abcborgess GREAT question! I answered your question on my 9-18-10 Saturday morning radio show. You can listen to it at GreatFatLossPill (.) com. Click on the On the Air tab at the top. It can also be downloaded from iTunes. Search Steve Turano

  • Along with proper nutrition is there anything else i can take for joint cartilage reconstrucition?

  • 0:07 The pain I went through today to get my thighs like that. I'm still tryin to burn off this layer of fat hiding my thigh muscles.

  • Hi again Steve, i got a question that puzzles me the most, what do you defines a Day of rest? is it 24 hour after you woke up? or 8 hours of sleep? because i realise in our current hectic modern day, it's sometimes quite hard to get 8 hours of sleep. Thanks in advance!

  • @xxxnicolxxx 48 hours from the time of your workout.

  • @BodyPerformanceTV

What parts of the shoulder do Bradford Press exercise works ?

  • hey brandon can u get muscle working out with resistance bands or is it not enougth to build muscle please let me know n thanks god bless

  • @smoovovi type in terrell owens workout.

  • You can to an extent, but to keep breaking through plateaus and gaining muscle mass, you'd be better off with a set of weights, preferably a gym membership. IF you're looking to be lean, fit. and in complete control of you're body like a gymnast or a lightweight MMA fighter, resistance bands, pull ups, push ups, plyometrics, Sprinting, handstand pushups, situps. will be great for that. IF you have lots of weight to loose, Your best bet would be to join a gym, do cardio and weightlifting.

  • im a lil confused on this..... which would be better for you? pure L-Arginine or L-Arginine-Ornithine and why. thanks

  • hey steve have you heard of the guy who can run 140 miles and not get tired?

  • Hi steve i am going to join your website on the 3rd of sept thats when i get paid in the beginning of the month..Like i said im an amputee and am limited to walking, so i can only walk 1/2 mile at this time cuz i weigh 330 lbs, ive lost 10 already..For cardio i am doing dead lifts with 35 lb dumbells in each hand, i do 5 sets of 10 and my heart is really pumping after each set..Is that considered cardio as long as my hearst pumping and your sweating?

  • Hey Steve :) Most days I am burning off 800 calories a day and I intake 2,200 calories. My BMR is 2,667 calories for moderate activity level so I cut it to 2,200. (My sedentary BMR is 1,742 calories) On days where I do not work out should I be lowering my caloric intake because my energy expenditure is less?...

Second, I feel like 2,200 calories is too much but then fitness "experts" I have talked to say 2,200 is a good intake for me. What do you think? I am working on losing fat.

  • @sammyangel562 I am 17 and I have 39% bodyfat. My goal is 20%. I weight train and do 20 mins LIT cardio after I train. On days where I don't train I switch it up between 2 30 minute HIIT sessions or 1 hour long LIT session (except for the occassional rest day.

I also want to know if doing LIT cardio on an empty stomach is more effective than with food. I was told that even if I only can do 30-40 mins on no food, it's still more effective than an hour of cardio WITH food.

  • @sammyangel562

I was also wondering about compound vs. isolation weight training exercises. I have been doing a full-body isolation routine and I want to make sure that it won't give me less results than doing some compound exercises.

Thanks for the advice and sorry about the multitude of questions lol. :)

  • Hey Steve,

My emails don't seem to be going through...don't know whats up with that? Anyway, I just wanted to let you know that my good friend, Steve Lewis, passed away late Thursday night in West Oaks Mental Hospital. They believe he overdosed on some of his stress medication. It was suicide. I know he was close to you on Facebook and whatever,...and just wanted to let you know.

    John

  • @p90x4lifewaswrong Thanks, I appreciate that.

  • @BodyPerformanceTV No problem. He was a genuinely nice fellow who just suffered from some severe mental/stress issues. I really thought sending him there would straighten him out. It must have been his time to go. He will be dearly missed.

  • just wondering....how much extra calories can be burned with an additional pound of muscle mass? like every hour??....just wondering..thanks!

  • @th3flash23 Muscles don't burn significant calories until they are used!

  • Steve,

I sent you an inbox. Let me know if it didn't go through,...its not showing up in my sent folder

  • How much do you charge clients to help them workout in the gym?

  • @fcuk9000 $50-$60 for a session.

  • Do you think i should rest my shoulder from all training that stresses it until it gets better?

  • @ZORGtheALIEN Definitely. Then start back slowly and limit your range of motion on the heavier sets.

  • @BodyPerformanceTV thanks for advice! Yeah I guess it's best to let it heal even though I'll lose some muscle and then I can work out normally again , instead of not being able to workout 100%

  • @ZORGtheALIEN Talks more about shoulders on todays BlogTalkRadio . c o m show. You can listen there or on iTunes. Search Steve Turano. Recent shows can be heard on my site home page at the bottom once they upload.

  • @wxman34 LOL! Stepping into the 21 Century!

  • Steve I need your help, I've done something to my right shoulder ( I think I injured it trying to do incline barbell press by myself and I think I over stretched it putting the bar back on the holder) It hurts when I do bench press or shoulder press exercises, I can't tell exactly where the injury is in my shoulder but it hurts right at the tip at the end of the clavicle sort of feels like its in the joint but I'm not sure. What you think I should do?

  • Excellent!

  • @badass1163 If you work it hard, NO!

  • @BodyPerformanceTV ok well can i do more than 7 to 8 sets of the same workout?

  • Hey bud. Like your shows. How's the website going?

  • @onikama Good. check it out BodyPerformanceTV. c o m

  • @BodyPerformanceTV Thanks, I'm good. I'm at the same stage of physical conditioning like you.. almost so I don't need to pay for advice anymore. I can only validate what you say. • Hey steve thank you for answering my previous question about the long bicep. i have a new one though. Does food contribute to muscle growth? and if i dont eat alot will my muscle start to demenish because of lack of protein. But i do drink protein shakes. i also work out 5 times a week

  • @JonathanMccart NAturally you need food and calories to help fuel your body. But extra protein and extra food will not speed muscle growth. An average diet supplies more than enough protein.

  • damn those pics back from the 80s or what?
