  • Some of the near-pass videos look like a speed & spatial judgement error but the driver in that video is an incompetent cabbage-head who shouldn't be operating something larger than a pair of roller skates

  • That was silly.. shame on this driver. He could have wait for just 4 seconds.

  • its you cyclists why my fucking mail is late!

  • riding on the pavement is illegal unless it's designated as a CYCLE LANE so every royal mail person i see riding on the pavement in between drops i'll say to them "obey the law, ride on the road, not the pavement"

  • cyclists should pay road tax and insurance,,so should horse riders,,fuckers get away with everything!!!

  • @alanlad1 Google: 'I pay road tax'.

  • @alanlad1 google: 'I pay road tax'.

  • @alanlad1 go on google and type in 'I pay road tax'.

  • @alanlad1 Google search "I pay road tax"

  • @alanlad1 do a search for "I pay road tax"

  • short and to the point

  • I thought it was dark at 5:50 in the morning in january.

  • get the fuck off the road you cunt.

  • simple Question here? Do we want are mail delivered quickly or Not. I personally do. and I personally don`t Mind pissing off a few cyclists to get that done. Cyclists are a strange Bunch why do they have this strange obsession with wearing tight clothing and going straight through red lights, and being aggressive to car drivers. I have No time for cyclists and don`t see why they deserve to be left alot of room when cycling. They do not leave cars a decent amount of room.

  • @expiry0209 Simple answer: I'd rather have mail delivered safely than for someone to wind up seriously injured or dead, because someone has a chip on their shoulder about road use. Not ALL cyclists run read lights or wear tight clothing, and quite a few of us scald red light runners/pavement hoppers. If you can't handle the work and do so safely, you need to find another job - I don't suppose you've thought about the consequences if you seriously injure or kill someone have you?

  • @P4rtis4n I aint a royal Mail driver so No I have not mate. And for me Its about speed all the way I want My Post as quickly as possible I want the driver to put his foot down to get me My Post Nice and early.

  • @expiry0209 I see, you could have worded your initial post better as you implied you personally were negligent. In any case, I hope you remember what you have written here if ever you or someone close to you are struck down by a speeding delivery van.

  • Its illegal to ride on pavements here but i do it all the time and police dont give a shit ( i dont live in london hence why) in London police are soo much more fucking strict!!

  • wow, thats surprising, Royal mail drivers are usually so courteous and professional, and don't drive flat out everywhere because they are on job and knock, oh dear me no

  • Oh well, out raping i go tonight.

As long as i don't expect people who see me not to report me to the police it's to my advantage. Simples.

  • @762SLR762 You can but it's still illegal by law.

  • @nutsack1888 Hey knee-jerk McGee, a 5 yr old should be supervised and not powering away at 30mph down the pavement. We're talking about adult cyclists using a bike as a form of transport not infants playing outside their house.

  • i need ma post in time so fuck you and yer bike.. buy a motorbike or jog in future. You had a helmet cam so you must of know there will be drama if you cycle on the road. The rest of us figured out its dangerous when we were 10yr old on our Raleigh burner

  • I drive for Royal Mail and when I'm on my pushbike I use the pavement. The road is no place for pushbikes!

  • @BouncePounce Ha, a truly comical response from an RM driver. Does your boss know you're posting comments here...?

  • @benwhiteuk Well at least I look out for my personal health and safety, obviously you don't with yours.

  • @BouncePounce Florescent yellow jersey, powerful lights that I even use during the day, helmet, cycling with an awareness of what's going on around me... there's only so much I can do. If the guy didn't see me then he's not paying due care and attention. If he did see me then he's driving dangerously. What's it to be?

  • @benwhiteuk All that gear doesn't cut it I'm afraid. Cycling on the pavement should make it better for both you and the motorists.

  • @BouncePounce The pavement is for pedestrians... how safe is it for them? There are plenty of pedestrian/stupid cyclist collision videos on Youtube. It's illegal for a reason - if you are not confident enough to ride a bike on the road then don't ride a bike. Simple.

  • @TheSestren The best part of all of it is that police officers seem to turn a blind eye to cyclists on the pavement who are not being a nuisance or dangerous. Perhaps it has become common knowledge and socially accepted that the government sometimes makes rules that cause further problems.

  • @TheSestren yeah tell a 5yr old kid that then you dick. Think!! ya stupid twat

  • @BouncePounce you do realise its actually against the law to ride pushbikes on the pavements? its just not enforced as it should be....

  • @pricey911 Exactly, perhaps it is that we all know the government made a mistake and perhaps the lack of enforcement is somehow a solution to the problem.

  • And why isn't it enforced "as it should be"?

  • @BouncePounce It's illegal to ride on the pavement.

  • @jmeove But nevertheless largely tolerated.

  • @BouncePounce Not true at all.

I ride a mountain bike to work and if i ride on the pavement i get heckled to ride on the roads.

Also riding on the pavements is slow going and counter productive.

  • @jmeove To each their own.

  • @jmeove Who gives a fuck what's legal. The law doesn't matter when you're dead

  • @BouncePounce Well then your just as bad as this van driver......Your not allowed to cycle on the pavement. So neither drivers or cyclists for the royal mail know what they are doing.

  • @BouncePounce It's no place for you in car or on bike.

  • @BouncePounce I totally agree mate. Cyclists are the worst road users generally. They have No respect for car drivers and think car drivers should Just treat them like god All the time and leave them Loads of space.

  • @BouncePounce you do realise that is illigal, dont you?

also, its endangering pedestrians lives too

  • @BouncePounce That's all well being said and done. The problem is when you get nicked for braking the law by riding on the pavement (I've seen people given fines for it. It is against the law).

  • @BouncePounce Cycling on the pavement is extremely dangerous for pedestrians, antisocial and illegal, what do you think you're doing?

  • Brain dead driver.

  • Can someone tell me about the head cam - is it fitted to the helmet? Where can you get one from and how much?

  • LOL just looked at the "related vids" down the right side. So many RM crashes and tipped over LGVs...

Yeah this is not good driving. there is nothing wrong with pulling in behind a cyclist.

  • Royal Mail vans are driven, barring a very few exceptions, by people that don't seem to be very intelligent. Or maybe they are half blind. Or, it could just be that they are bullying thugs....

  • well royal mail do have a service called SPECIAL delivery

  • No doubt about it,this has to be reported.

  • Keep us all updated will you into the report of this R/M driver.

*DON'T BOTHER IN PHONING THEM ! YOU WILL GET NOWHERE*

For your info' heres the address to the head man at royal mail they will deal with this.

    Royal Mail Headquarters,

    100 Victoria Embankment,

    London,

    EC4Y 0HQ

Keep us updated there are far too many idiot R/M drivers who blantently don't give a fuck where they park who they overtake or cut up, something needs to be done !!

    Cheers.

  • That's handy they even give you the number to call

0845 7740740 or 01752 387116 if you don't want to pay the earth to complain.

  • @mrcellophane99 That is handy of them! Someone on the end of a phone is harder to ignore...

  • Answer : Because you were 'only' a bike and his job is so important and the effort involved in using the brake and thinking is way too much. I hope you reported him being as he is a 'professional' driver.

  • @d87heaven Ah, I knew there had to be a logical reason.

I may forward it to the Royal Mail tomorrow. I won't be holding my breath for a response, but I'll let you know if I get one...

  • @benwhiteuk Yeah, please report him mate, it'll hopefully help him be better around other cyclists in future. That was unacceptably poor driving.
