Can anyone explain to me how the Bb Major goes to the E Major theoretically? It makes sense when I hear it, but I'm not sure why. I thought it was a chromatic mediant sounding...

@COOLBIAN57 Bb major does does not go to the E major chord. Any chord can be resolved to another chord. Is it theoretically correct? Perhaps, perhaps not. If it pertains to the key signature it is correct but what is correct when it comes to music? E major has four sharps and Bb major has two flats. Its just enharmonic.

@COOLBIAN57 To answer your question, the Bb major harmonic scale has a perfect fifth of F and a major seventh of A. the note E would be a flattened fifth, the note G# (the third of E major) would be a flattened seventh, and B (the fifth of E major) would be a sharpened root. So, essentially, you are hearing a chromaticism taking place between two keys. Of course, E does not resolve Bb. E simply provides a chromatic shift (sort of a tonal detour) from Bb in route to another key.

But a question about Chord Progression... Do i have to folow a certain patern? i mean, if i play my First chord, say.. C Major, and my secound is like the fifth chord on that scale, do i have to go back to my first chord after that fifth chord? :o

people say the fifth chord is the "way" back to the first chord...

@ExtendedSpace Although the dominant and sub dominant are the most used, in theory the second chord can go anywhere in the scale. If the first chord is C and the second chord is A, then the most common way to go back is D - G - C, But you can use different patterns until it sounds good. You can also use the circle of fifths and fourths as a guide. Hope this helps.

Great stuff, you are a pretty talented musician. In classical theory the Bb chord in A minor is called Neapolitan (N6), used by almost all composers during and after the classical period. There is a cool use for neapolitan chord in relation with the german chord (Ger65). You can appreciate it in the Quartet Satz by Schubert.

How does BbM and EM come in the progression of Am or what is the theory behind the Ab and Bb notes and how can we use it?

@latthu EM is the dominant chord in a minor. It's why harmonic minor (minor with a raised 7th scale degree) is called harmonic, because it makes the dominant chord Major and adds impetus to it. The BbM chord is something called a neapolitan chord. You mostly see it in minor and it is a major chord built off of the lowered 2nd scale degree, and it almost always leads to the dominant chord, or to some sort of intermediate chord in between it and the dominant.
