I sincerely hope you weren't trying your best, because those are some extremely pitiful playing skills. You contradict yourself multiple times by saying stuff like "you can always pick up the rings if you lose them ... it's just too easy" and then "This game doesn't give you enough lives to finish it."

second. you are so cluless. how can you say it is easy if you get a game over in the first act, the sing thing, why did bowser put a switch that kills him right behind him. dr eggman had his hovercraft before bowser had his. if you collect all 6 emarald and jump after colecting 50 rings you turn into super sonic. the ring thing still has a chalange becouse they disapere too fast. and mario saves one prensess, sonic saves an ENTIRE PLANET.
