At the peak of a most promising career, 1989 proved to be a very trying year for this artist with two mishaps nearly taking his life both times. It has taken him many years to fully recover from what most would have never, I did'nt learn of his recovery till now. I thought he was dead.I am realy glad to know that he is alive and doing well, Thank God
Yes, I had read that too. I understood that he had released music as 'recently' as "2000. Would love to hear from him again, but as long as he is well thats what matters.
yes ...this version used to play at blues early morning lol ..the other was played in the clubs..so u see i left from the club get food..cant dance pan hungry belly..onto the blues...round 2 lol
Are you able to say when he passed, as he was still alive earlier this year and I've not heard anything to say he's died. So any further info would be helpful. Thanks
i was listening to supercat's "nuff man dead" and he mentions this brother in his tune as one of the artists in the early 90's who was killed.Does anybody have any updated info?
I thought I had replied to this before - not sure what happened to the comment! Chuck Turner is still alive and kicking and is actually a gospel singer now, since getting baptised a couple years ago.
@browningbbw ...you replied on da "I need you" song. chuck is a pretty outstanding singer. if possible lady bbbbw could u put up some of his gospel performances...would appreci-love dat, thanks.
@blackwolvie i thought nuff man dead was for nitty gritty and other artists that pass on, althought supercat killed gritty he still had respect after for him, and in an interview years ago said his passing was unfortunate and wish it could have went down another way. but chuck turner still alive an like brown said he singing gospel and still doing shows down south i think
The first time I ever heard this tune, was at a dance in Clarendon, Jamaica! Don't know why that has stuck in head, everytime I hear this I remember!! big tune

uhm..I don't think Chuck Tuner is dead. You might be thinking of Jacob Miller who was killed in a car accident in the early 80's
