Their music has absolutely no structure, meaning or rhythm, their music is a mess of lightnings-speed solos, drum whacking, and all-over-the-place vocals all completely out of sync with each other mixed into a bizarrely random, intermingling arrangments at random tempos that makes it impossble to take in anything that happens in any track.

Power Quest are their complete opposite of that =D

@ToxicTurquoise454 Not to sound rude, but a lot of that was nonsense, Dragonforce, while incredibly fast, maybe even too fast for some to enjoy, are completely in sync, nothing is out of time, and everything is controlled, it takes a ridiculous amount of technical ability to come close to playing what they play, and I say this as a musician. You may not enjoy it, but to deny their talent is ridiculous, I'd bet that Powerquest themselves would admit that Dragonforce have some serious talent.

@RubenGardiner Fully agreed. Old Power Quest was better just like old Dragonforce was. But they are not alone to make bad albums even other bands are changing such as Thy Majestie, Rhapsody, Hibria, Dark Moor, Heavenly, and so on. It's terrible to see how the future of power metal stands at today. Only Iron Mask impressed me with their newest album from 2010, Red Baron. Gamma Ray will never change they have always delivering their old style on every single album and nobody complains.

@leoandmyles Honestly I get the feeling all the kids today hate on DragonForce because it got too popular to quickly thanks to Guitar Hero. I'm a huge metal fan and personally I feel DragonForce is the spiritual successor to Iron Maiden. They have similar sounds, similar themes and they have similar accusations thrown at them as far as their talent and originality go. Anyone who really likes Power Metal really has no reason to hate DragonForce, they're Power Metal to the core...

ZP and Sam played on the first album because they couldn't find a vocalist or second guitar player and the keys and bass were both people that quit DragonHeart (the pre-famous shreddy DragonForce). ZP chose to stay in DragonForce and put his focus there so I don't think he'd come back.
