  • @Reatbuster I know but there are some facts that never should be changed(especially if you are the one who lost). You can't say that concentration camps were someone elses idea. About Danzig(or Gdańsk as it should be called now), they never had and never will have rights to anything which isn't theirs any longer and they need to understand that. Poland doesn't have rights to the eastern territories(Belarus,Ukraine,Lithuania), and the same goes for the Germany's rights to Gdańsk and Pomerania.

  • This sounds grim and depressing if you ask me, but its pretty bad-ass either way.

  • i always used to play lithuania because i wanted to be the good guys, but i always got scared when this music played and i have teutonics left right and center on my campagn map and the battle map!

  • Historical Accuracy or what ever the hell...

I love the idea of anti-villains such as these, the fact that they actually existed is just an added bonus. I just love this campaign. It fills in that darker side of the crusades that just weren't present in the other games.

  • @Matrilwood they still exist

  • @Matrilwood The Crusades were a dark side of Christianity. None of them accomplished anything other than senseless killing because some man in a big hat sitting a large church in the middle of Rome told you to. Nothing was achieved and whatever there was about "protecting Byzantium from Muslim attacks" is bullshit since it was the Seljuks up in Turkey attacking Byzantium and the Crusaders attacked the Fatamids in Egypt. Who also happened to be at War with the same Seljuks.

  • @Killzoneguy117 Not to mention the fourth crusade... *cringe*

  • @Gunnarr123abc That too. I love that. "We're gonna protect Byzantium... by invading it, sacking Constantinople and massacring its residents"

  • @Killzoneguy117

no crusader ever thought about protecting byzantium, it's just on the road to Jerusalem

  • how can ANYONE dislike this?!

  • I dont care what they did. I still love the Tuetons more than anyone in these times.

  • i cant believe those childish arguments. the teutonic order fell victim of later periods propaganda and romatications on both the german and polish side. if you look behond those plain fantasies, you will see that these men were just as "good" or "evil" as all the people of that time. just as they could be cruel and brutal, they also created magnificence in an swampy mosqitoland, all that with never more that a few hundred knights present at a time.

  • The Russian Orthodox annihilated the stupid Teutonic Order at the Battle of The Ice in 1242.

  • How can you call this "Mountains of Hope" lol i dont see any hope for the Lithuanian people...

  • @sm0keshell lol yup they were slaughtered

  • colorblindvids kill some pagans for breakfast, rape for lunch, massacre in the evening and some executions at night = sounds like a lot of fun

  • The Teutonic Order has one of the most badass armor of all time

  • I may be an idiot... but wasn't the state they forged a precursor to Prussia? If so, then despite their corruption, the Teutons are indirectly crucial in the forging of the German state, no?

  • @Henners1991 They forged it at a cost of extermination of native Old Prussians, and I guess the apple doesn't fall too far from the apple tree - we all known that they were planning to forge the 3rd riech by exterminating anyone that was not German.

  • plain and simple

  • ok i feel i shud say this now if all your going to do is talk down the teutonic knights why come in the first place the theme is teutonic knights these knight were among the greatst warriors to ever walk the face of the earth and there legend is cemented in history like that of the 300 yes there purpose was later currpted but they held true now yes they did turn on poland eventrually but they came for a purpose to erdicate lithania at polands request now poland called dwn thunder and it got it

  • @pimp963 Teutonic knight since their arrival at the Baltic shores had primarily become very skilled rapist, robbers, torturers, slavers and ethnic cleansers - if that is your definition of a great warrior, well I suppose whatever rocks your boat.

  • @Qongrat All of the west and byzantium was the heretics of christianity.

  • @Qongrat Hell..if I lived back in those times, and I had to choose a faction of knights to belong to, I would choose Teutonic! Brutal motherfuckers..probably had alot of fun.

  • just love this song

  • Little irony, great music for the most corrupted Knight Order of the Dark Ages. Teutonic Order did its mission during Crusades, but after this,it was bunch of power hungry renegades. Even Pope said that attack against Poland and Lithuania was a threat to the entire East Europe(this order had its own independent country allied with Germany).

  • @vader228

Since when has wanting to take over the world been an excuse not to have great music? :P

Is there a super power yet that has NOT had an aim to take over the entire world if possible? ^^

  • @SinerAthin I dont remember that I said something about super power. You know the differences between the Teutonic Order and ,for example, Holy Roman Empire? Maybe that the latter was the superpower and the first was horde of traitors. Lets give another example: if one of the little companies will separate from the Huge Corporation then that little company is superpower already? I dont think so.

  • @vader228

    Never said they were.

They were only a super power... in their far away dreams :)

  • @vader228 i dont understand the Part with the Pope ?!. what you mean with it ? ._.

  • @background61 Make it simple:

Pope said that the order has no right to attack both Poland and Lithuania because both have the same religion:Christianity. But the Teutonians refused Popes Orders and were on the way to be excluded from the Church. But it was too hard decision for stupid Pope(all popes from the medieval were morons, only nowadays are good and wise). So the Church left this problem to The Commonwealth(Poland and Lithuania) and only support was Pope blessing. But the Poland won the war

  • @vader228

Actually, Lithuania were mostly Pagan which caused serious issues among the people.

  • @patatkraam1 Do you know about something called Christening? And Lithuania were christian country already during these events. And that most people were Pagans is not a problem then.

  • @background61 And after Battle of Grunwald, began the Golden Age of the Commonwealth which became the most powerful country in the Eastern Europe. In the XVII century,The Commonwealth was attacked from the north(Kingdom of Sweden),Cossacs were rebelling and Ottomans were attacking the entire Europe. And in the late XVIII century,The Commonwealth was erased from the map of the world for the next century. Funny is that only biggest enemy, the Ottomans didnt accept that fact.

  • @vader228

    It were the Poles themselves who called them for help against other slavs (Pommerellen) (-;

  • @antiochostheos Yeah, I forgot to say this. But there were some terms. If you call the police officer and he attack you with knife then you are stupid moron or he is? Think about it. And slavs from Pomerania werent loyal to others. They always were working on their own. They refused to join other Polish tribes at first, and after they joined to Poland at last then they were leaving all the time. And they believed in "Old gods" and that was unacceptable(kinda sad).

  • @vader228

Right about the Slavic and Baltic tribes in the coastal areas. Relations between the Order and the Polish king in fact used to be quite stable in the beginning. As promised the Kulmer Land/ Ziemia chełmińska was given to the Teutonic in 1230 as compensation for their help. The Order passed the following decades on expanding at the cost of Baltic and Slavic coastal tribes (not against Polish king). Relations prouved to be that amicable, the latter asked again for support against

  • @antiochostheos I hope your explanation will do for the morons who think that Teutonic Order was full of saints. Nothing more to add i think.;)

  • @vader228

the troops of Brandenburg called themselves by Gdansk's citizens that recently had set in a rebellion against the Polish garrison (so you can see Danzig/Gdansk citizens neither voted for Poland nor for the Teutonic Order in 1308 (-; ) However the duke of Brandenburg were forced to leave, the fight against the citizens of Danzig continued. Right NOW the problems began: The Polish garrison leader was not willing to pay the amount the Germans demanded

  • @vader228

and left the siege. The Order went on, conquerred Danzig to finally incorporate the wealthy city in its reign..fact the Polish king naturally didnt accept so the trouble went on. Whose behaviour is legitime now, whose isnt? Things arent that easy

  • @vader228 Who are they now in modern times? or did they dissapear or somthing?

  • @snipes081 The Order is still around. They were a military order from 1190 all the way to 1929. Now, its a purely religious and charitable order in the Church. With only about 2000 people still a part of it.

  • @oreillyfan360 @snipes081 Yep, now they are good guys again ;)

  • @snipes081 cool

  • @vader228 soldiers that fought for the pope/in crusades are the most corrupt.

  • @punkzorr Well, going further with this thinking,we all are corrupted. Pope wasn't saint, but he wasn't stupid aswell. It was all about the power and influences between Pope and German Emperor.

  • @vader228

And yet you forget to mention the betrayal of poland. The Teutonic order was set there to convert pagan lithunians to christianity. Meanwhile Poland had a personal union with Lithunia while they hired the Teutonic knights to defeat them. They basically ordered the attack on their own nation.

  • @DieGoetterdaemmerung Well, learn some history then. Teutonic Order from the beginning tried to claim more lands. When Poland asked them for help to defend Gdansk from Brandenburgian attacks, they won,but then they refused to leave Pomerania and Gdansk. So you still telling me that Poland betrayed them? And union with Lithuania was necessary to defend own territory.(if not with Lithuania, then with Hungary, its simple)

  • @vader228 no they just had a personel agenda

  • @pimp963 Who? The Commonwealth or the Teutonic Order?

  • @vader228 both no one there is truly innocent as we no almost all the nations were corrupt and had a personel aganda and that justifies the crusade against poland though they were not excommunicated there was not a power in the world that cud stop them

  • @pimp963 I dont understand, why everyone protects them. Teutonic Order was during that period mostly corrupt. They were deceivers, living on incompetence of the polish rulers like Conrad I of Masovia or Ladislas IV/I the Elbow-high(im using names from english wiki cuz translation of the polish names is too fucked work). Polish rulers were stupid and Teutonic Order used it to achieve their own goals.

Thanks God , from Casimir III The Great, Poland grew stronger(unfortunately for Teutonic Order)

  • @vader228 They weren't just corrupt, they were crazy genocidal maniacs. Not even counting their psychotic, bloodthirsty rampage across Lithuania, they were well into killing large groups of innocent people for the hell of it. Look at their crimes in the Holy Land. They massacred thousands of innocent Muslims and Jews during the Crusades, more so than the Templars and Hospitalers combined. They were blood thirsty maniacs who tried to solve every problem through excessive violence.

  • @Killzoneguy117 Dude, you are the light of wisdom and understanding, one of the few with any knowledge about the history of that time. Please, don't let those morons to destroy the memory of all suffering the religion inflicted!

  • @vader228 it wasn't the fault of the religion, however, it was the fault of corrupt men using the religion as justification.

  • @Killzoneguy117 That's what makes the religion...corrupted people... true faith doesn't need to be shown..

  • @vader228 True. Very true.

  • @vader228 Indeed. History would be better if no religion ever existed. It is a good thing it's slowly disappearing.

  • @BlackTemplar43 If religion never existed, we would be 1000 years of prosperity and progress ahead(no dark ages, no crusades,no inquisition etc.). That's sad how much we lost..

  • @vader228 lol, who wasn't making grabs for land back then?

  • @vader228 If the polish wouldn't ally with Lithuania,i think today we would have a new country.

  • @TheGator2000 But propably lost two others....or at least one

  • @vader228 maybe romania too . i'm from there and i know that they would've been defeated by a teutonic army

  • @vader228 lithuania wouldn't be on the map today if they wouldn't ally with the polish back in the day.or that's my opinion

  • @TheGator2000 You're right....

  • @vader228 Ha, and you're still jealous? Silly peasant!

  • @vonRass Why should I be jealous, if their country doesn't exist? And another question: Why you are calling me a peasant? If that was an offense then it's the most inaccurate offense you could say(cuz,I have noble roots, but it doesn't matter these days, does it? ;D )

  • @vader228 How sad, that those of su who have had saintly and noble ancestors now are only part of the middle class, and giving our earned profits to those who are MOSTLY (I'm not saying all, but shure as hell, and unfortunately most) folks who are simply too lazy to earn their own money, earnign their living off our backs. And they even want to make it so that hose who make even more money take care of us...Disgraceful.

  • @vader228 not allied with germany for god's sake, Germany didn't existed at that time

  • @MateusVIII Well, if we are going with this thinking, then almost every country in the world is a new one.It was Germany but with the different policy and name, maybe even different culture. And I believe you are not stupid,so you know what I meant. If you really dont want to call it Germany then lets call it like it should be:Holy Roman Empire (of the German Nation from 1512). Are you happy now?

  • @MateusVIII

Uhm.. Yes, it did. Not as an independent country like today, but as a part of the HRE. In fact, Germany was the main bulk of the old empire to the extent that people knew back in the days when you talk about Germany you actually mean the HRE. Just like a lot of people today equate England with the United Kingdom. It changed it's name in 1512 to "Holy Roman Empire of the German Nation" because only Germany (and some minor Slavic lands) were left.

  • @vader228 Poland hired the Teutonic Order to attack Lithuania.

  • @birdman631 No? They were hired on some terms(which were broken by them long before war).

And some quote from wikipedia: "Konrad I, the Polish Duke of Masovia, unsuccessfully attempted to conquer pagan Prussia in crusades in 1219 and 1222. In 1226 Duke Konrad invited the Teutonic Knights, a German military order of crusading knights, headquartered in the Kingdom of Jerusalem at Acre, to conquer the Baltic Prussian tribes on his borders"

Where do you see Lithuania? I see only pagan Prussia...

  • @vader228 Whoever get's his info from wikipedia must die..

  • @DrIScream gets

  • @DrIScream OOKKK..... Let's just say that it's common knowledge, not Wikipedia alone. In which twisted world do you live?

  • @vader228 The real one.

  • @DrIScream So you must be the only one and 7 billion people are living in matrix.. Congratulations Neo...

  • @vader228 Problem?

  • @DrIScream Of course not, Chosen One...

  • @vader228 Good now stfu and enjoy this music.

  • @DrIScream You started the topic,not me...

  • @vader228 Great knights none the less. You cannot say thet they weren't the strongest order (not in money, because there the templars rule there, but in brute military power".and they still exist in this moment. They say that they are just monks, but i do not know what to think about that...

  • @TheGator2000 I never said that they were weak. I said that they were treacherous, cruel and merciless, which is true,no need to argue with that. And next time, read before post, there was info about their current existence....still I'll give you like for not being a stupid ,brainwashed jackass...;D

  • Love this music. Love Total war

  • Linkgonecoocoo is that a compliment or an insult?

And acctually many nordic people went to the crusades... And many as mercenaries for the byzantines(f.ex varangian guard)

  • nice game

  • 14 people are from lithuania

  • @petertel123 Yeah and Lithuania has a right to hate the Teutonic order even though they have kick ass theme music. To a Lithuanian a Teutonic knight is what would happen if a viking joined the knights templar.

  • fuck believe and their believers they are all idiots, technology and the mind all the way

  • @sm0keshell believe? are you referring to religion

  • @zupergozer yep

  • this is such an epic soundtrack

  • 14 people are sudovian tribesmen

  • TBH I don't really see why any of you are arguing over your ancestors. It's like your playing a "mines better than yours hahahahah!" game. Enjoy the damn music FCS.

  • I love this music, hahaha,I feel so evil and powerful now.

  • he would water his horses in the Rhine '-..-'

  • craziest soldiers ever seen in a total war

  • @Mrajan47 no.check out something called like tibaraaadya!

  • Life all started in the garden of Eden, with Adam and Eve. We are all from them,so we are all one family. An alternative to war: Settle your differences with a match of Medieval 2 or other war game.

  • We are all sons of Odin, the Old Father!!!!!!!!!!

  • @EmperorHarold Pagan! There is only one god, Jesus Christ!

  • @EmperorHarold Pagan! There is only one god, Jesus Christ! It is time to convert!

  • Jesus wasn't a god, even if he was the son of god (which he isn't) he still isn't a god, unless you are from the Orthodox church, but if you are from the catholic church the whole point of confession is that Jesus wasn't a full god and therefore couldn't die for everyones sins for the rest of time.

  • @EmperorHarold Hmmmmmmmmm you Jewish, Muslim, (clap) got it your Hindu, yeah : )

  • none of the above.

  • @bigmathafaka ,emperorharold is pagan.

  • @Citzen92 ah, of course that explains everything it explains why napoleon lost waterloo, it explains why the ming dynasty collapsed and it also explains where you where that day that Sarah Connor disappeared, yes thats why i have no left sock, because, EMPEROR HAROLD IS A PAGAN!!!

  • @bigmathafaka chill down :|

  • Is that having a go at me or CItizen92?

  • @EmperorHarold reason I removed it was because I decided if I argued with you I would be wasting my time with a troll, nice try though :P

  • I am not trolling, I am trying to question people who make a game soundtrack about Christianity.

  • @EmperorHarold They are trying to troll you and see how far you'll go, I don't even know why people bring up religion but it's the same thing in every Youtube video because they need something to argue about and to try and prove a point. All you can really do is ignore the idiots and enjoy the video.

  • Your logic is amazing, but I cannot ignore a troll!!!!

  • Comment removed

  • @EmperorHarold hey man,why dont you go to vid about muslims hindu buddhist or whatever and post that to them?

  • This is a video about a soundtrack to a game, not really about Christianity. If on a soundtrack relating to the Muslims aspects of the game said "Almighty Allah is our father" then I would say exactly the same thing, but most non-fundamentalist Muslism aren't that stupid, whereas some of your average Christians are.

  • Brings back memories-*sniff*

  • @SlyNicolai that people did it for them, not for you.i can hardly trace my origins just to first half of 18 c.everything earlier is unknown...u have interested origins.90% of todays people are descendants of peasants, cuz much of nobles died in wars.

  • Nothing can withstand the charge of horned guys

  • Comment removed

  • Order was famous for their torturing of prisoners. Many sinfull man joined order to gain forgiveness for their past sins.In that time,it was believed that if a knight torture his lithuanian or other pagan captive will gain salvation.

  • 14 people are simogitian rebels.

  • @Citzen92 Burn them! Burn the heretics! XD

  • @NodDisciple1 it was estonian rebels, and samogitian axemen.i mistyped XD

  • @Citzen92 Close enough! Burn them all-let God sort them out! XD

  • @Citzen92 hahahahahahaha! No! They are Kazaks!!! Or Boyars' sons!!!

  • @Peristerygr wtf are u talking about,you son of an mexican whore ? :|

  • @Citzen92 I see! A fucking bully who posts just to insult anyone answering to you!

  • @Peristerygr hey stfu.you think that ' mexican ' was meant to insult you?you dont understand jokes..and why the fuck you are talking about boyar sons, fine russian nobles, comparing them to some stinking rebels and asian mongoloid whores called kazaks..kill yourself

  • Comment removed

  • @Peristerygr i dont even understand what you are talking about.besides, you started your moronic arguing with me.its time to delete your ytb acc and smash your pc.its not a insult, but you are serious troll

  • Comment removed

  • @Peristerygr no it was not a bait.i dont know why are you biting and chewing my comments.go swimm in your sea or something else

  • I would never believe that Bosniacs hate Greeks so much! And I suppose Che Guevara is for decieving people who visits your channel!!

  • @Peristerygr which bosnians ? there are muslims and serbs.i bet you cant recognize to which people i belong hahaha try it :)

  • @Citzen92 You are Croat! Because:1)Croats have tradition in fascism (Ustazi), 2)they are catholics. Orthodoxy still remembers Forth Cruisade so Pope (and catholics) avoids facing them directly! So they are hiding behind others (muslims in this case) when dealing with Ortodox people. (done by Italians who sent muslims from Erithrea and Somaliland to attack Orthodox Aithiopia) 3) Croats are also one of Bosnia's ethnicities who joint in with muslims because of 2)! Then you are a "muslim"!

  • @Citzen92 Funny, what's even more funny is that simogitia still stands and the order lays in ruins. Just out of spite of the comment, I'll add the 16th dislike to the video because they are a part of my origins.

  • @SilentShadowLT funny !

  • @Citzen92 rebel but still it is good music, because it is got more pagan music elements than a christian ;)

  • @Citzen92 Funny that the pope should say it after his office had called for the crusades against Lithuanians and other Balt ethnic communities since 1047. When Lithuanian Grand Dutchy finally aided by Poland beat the shit out of Teutonic knights while agreeing to become offcially Catholic at the same time that the Pope changed his tune, such a sly poltical move - side with the winner.

  • THIS MUSIC PERFECTLY SUITS FOR TEUTONIC ORDER!

  • teutonic knights worshipped satan

  • @Unitor677 are studpid or just evil?

  • @Unitor677 im worshipping satan while riding your mum

  • Its Mountains Of Home not of Hope

  • @Tahuzilla why do you think neanderthals built stonehenge? there is no evidence for this. neanderthals did not use tools as much as homo sapiens. that's why we out hunted them and they starved to death. I really doubt they built stonehenge

  • @SlyNicolai actually.. a couple weeks ago, National Geographic had a special about a guy that thinks he found it. in spain. he found a bunch of "memorial cities" on the spanish coast that are like mini atlantis's built by the survivors. And he found some old ruins that match the description, even with the rings surrounding the city. all myths have some truth to them. Atlantis was real. just because it isn't exactly like the stories doesn't make it Atlantis still.

  • I saw a couple of days ago a teutonic castle in one of my school trips, fucking awesome! this campaign rules I played it 3 times and I still love it!

  • @TheKingDomingo It is true though isnt it? You germans are all so scared and ashamed of everything your ancestors left behind, so you censor it instead of making up for it

  • epic theme

  • tuetonics ... most scariest order back than .. yet powerful

  • Poland has a horrible geographic location, caught between the stereotypically aggressive Russians and Germans. That sucks for them.

  • @TehSmellulare

Yea,it's funny how the German poiliticians cenzure everything-including games.(Less blood and gore etc)

Everyone knows they are such a peace-loving nation LOL

  • @Methecookie3456 Lol. Germany censures everything that reminds them of the Nazis and they look a lot like Nazis by doing so.

  • @SlyNicolai Yes because every single day they have hurricanes in Florida. Seriously they don't need to move to Cali for a scuba school.

  • @SlyNicolai Lol, what are you smoking? Atlantis on the other side of the Atlantic sea?! There are no clues whatsoever of Atlantis being there, it is actually very likely it was the Island of Santorini, one of the islands
