a ksu cc staple piece. yes yes yes. i'm representing c/o '98. next year is the school's 125th anniversary so, SEE YOU AT HOMECOMING! can we get a cc reunion goin' please?!
You guys are the Surprise of the Day. I thought you were gonna be a bunch of jive kids, but I was wrong. You are wonderful. Thank you for your wonderful song.
Young people - You are Blessed.. Truly Blessed, talented and Gifted! Continue to sing for the Lord. NEVER STOP! Even after grad, continue to sing. I love your spirit & sound. Truly A Gift. Holla!
Now I understand what they mean when they say, " a lump in my throat ". I am 57 year's old and this took me back into a time when we blacks had to live in one section of the city, this was in the 50's and the 60's. We had to depend on each other, and are church and faith was very important back then. Also the church was the center of our social life, and extended family. The young people in this clip seem so happy and unitted. I t has been along time since I felt such joy. Bless you...
@0721952 A year ago I wrote this about the " lump in my throat, " now it is a year later and I still agree. This is my first time hearing this since last year, and I feel bless listening to this. I hope those young people are doing well. May God bless.
thei brought me back to my youth. Great singing, and expression of love for Jesus Christ. Great job. What a great way to minister. Sing other songs... please.
This was sooooo gorgeous!!!! I've heard the Oakwood Aeolians recording of this, which is exquisite, but there's something about 6-8 person ensemble with tight harmonies and beautiful tones minister this! I've listen to this 20 times in the past day. What are the names of these singers and where are they now? Still at KSU or graduated? I'd love to hear each one individually because I know the tones are great!
@tom19122 Yes, Doris Akers is the original composer of this song. However, this arrangement that they are singing is by Robert Morris. Songs can be arranged later by anyone. I have the score to THIS arrangement.
@jusprazem Yes Lord! He still got a remnant praising and glorifying Him in their daily lives. Sing on young people. Be assured that your message touched my heart ths morning, Hallelujah!!!!!
This brings back memories. I was a 1st alto in the Kentucky State Concert Choir 1982-84 under the direction of Carl Smith. I do believe that he is Dr. Smith now. You all sound very nice. It is hard to do acapella and stay on pitch throughout. Nicely done!!!!
Sing babies!!!! Yes!!!! Queesha...you know I was listenin for those alto splits we loved so much...they are sangin! I am so happy to hear this....it made my day! CC!!!!
See... that's what I'm talkin' about!!! Concert Choir still stands strong!!! As we stood on the shoulders of all who came before us, now we are the shoulders on which they stand!!
