I did something very similar to this, except I used an actual RGB box [the one in the GM sprite editor]. That took 3000 or so lines of code.

that colormaker was pretty awesome,
made one a long time ago but this one is much cooler. i hope you dont abadon it

Thanks Ostemorder- if I just want the user to pick a color in a program, I'll just use get_color()- but the code I developed for making the sliders is pretty valuable for other stuff, like the menu generator I'm working on.

I didn't realize when I made this program, that you can just use "get_color()" to allow a user to generate any color- but I'm still glad I made this.
