Does it look like the nasutitermes costalis are more aggressive than the formosans? Where do you find nasutitermes costalis? Are they naturally found in the same environments?They look pretty cool with those sharp, dark beak-like heads and the clear abdomenson the workers - like you can see the whole digestive system!!!! I remember when I was a kid. I liked to catch a praying mantis then feed it all kinds of insects and spiders. The Mantis would make short work of anything I threw in there eating them alive.

they have "nasutes"- nozzles that spray terpenes which irritate ants (clog up their breathing holes), ants are their main enemies.
