Its the OS and the 3d effects that come default. I just got my cloudbook and after 1 hr of trying to get the thing to respond to anyhthing.... I loaded Mandriva and everthing is working smoothly
I do own an eeepc, it came with xandros and it works out of the box really well, what I meant before is that when you release an OS it should work, cause if it not you would think twice to spend money on any device with it.
Still, I'm surprised they still shipped it with such bugs. I was really hoping This would just be the eeepc+30gb hard drive. Still... I hope that it's just the OS and not the hardware at fault.
if you didn't know this already, gOS has been in a beta stage for a while, not fully 100% ready. i installed it on an old pc of mine, it's not the laptop, it's the os
very fast. i was surprised at its speed, given the processor it sports. i think i may pick one up now.

the procesor is a Via pretty slow, like a 700mhz celeron, so dont expect much.
it's running the 3D Dock too.
a slow pc like this should be running a low resource OS
anyway this gOS for the cloudbook looks and works much better than the last versions. Except is slower, because of all the features.
This version is not available to the public for download yet

like i said is a slow VIA procesor, it's not an intel or amd processor.
Disabling 3d effects and other stuff does make it snappier

Everex has XP drivers posted on their website. Can someone load windows and give it a try? It must be better than this...

These are huge performance problems I hope they fix it by the time they release the cloudbook for everyone.
I also installed the gOS beta on an old pc and it was really bad.
Why someone bothers to release something that is not ready, just don't understand this kind of marketing.
