Mr Partridge, he is one of a kind...musicians today are so dull..I mean, what bands today are as good as XTC, or The Ramones, or Robyn Hitchcock and the Egyptians? None.
The poster of this vid was right.... Once upon a time MTV actually played music videos....i really miss these times.....sneaking downstairs as a kid to watch late nite tv were some of the happiest times.
I remember this vividly. I had one of them on tape and watched it a fair few times, although it's not in this compilation. Thanks for the memories though!
Such a pathetic 12 year old I was that watching this week of Post Modern - in late June/early July of 1989 - was possibly the highlight of my Summer. It was at least the best thing I saw on television that year. Thank you for posting it!!!
I loved this show, I used to watch it when I was 10 (1985)...I remember Kevin Seal hosting it though, 'cause I had a big crush on him (don't ask me why). I used to stay up late and tape it!!!!
Well he was the only funny VJ on MTV maybe that's why? I was 9 in 85 and also loved this show & 120 mins and have well over 30 (yes 30) VHS of these shows (POMO and 120) from 86-95 or so. Wish there were still awesome show like this.
Excellent! Great to see Andy being Andy. It'd be great if you could post this with the songs included (I realize that'd mean several posts) -- it'd be a great time capsule. Thanks for posting.
It was the sudden withdrawal from the valium that he'd never been removed from that manifested itself as incredible stagefright you fool. Even if he did decide to tour again who would he tour with? Collin is gone so it'd only be like XT or something.

Look all of you cunts! I like XTC , & I hate going to work but I cant afford to to get "work fright" Being a musician is a piss easy job . Partridge maybe should see a shrink or something. This polictical correctness I get from some You Tube users drives me potty
More Andy Partridge!

I taped a bunch of Monty Python episodes on MTV back around 1987 and Graham Chapman hosted the shows.

Funny stuff, I saw a video from about 1981 where Andy and Colin were on a show called Swap Shop and Andy was funny then too.
