  • You do a wonderful work teaching chinese!!

  • I simply love this! Learning Chinese by a hot teacher who is actually a pretty awesome teach!

  • 你好,

    请问,“我们在一起的时候” 这这句好像没有两个actions 吧?

    Cheers

  • best chinese lesson ever

  • @DrMMHMD ---

when she spoke she said gei2 wo2 da3(partial) (the rule is with two or more 3rd tones the last one stays 3rd tone (but sometimes pronounced partial 3rd tone, that results it it often sounding like 4th tone); the other "shift" or convert to 2nd tone. search for "tone shifts in mandarin chinese..." hope it helps

  • @DrMMHMD

    thanks for the advice :)

actually, though, i purchased the Chinese Language Software by NJStar 南极星 excellent software i would higly recommend.

but i learned Chinese with Traditional Characters, so, would just be nice to have both instead of converting them.

  • excellent presentation of 2 actions at same time versus, 2 actions at different times.!

(Still would appreciate the traditional han zi as well)

    thanks!

  • Yang Yang, I love your YoYo Chinese tips. They are very helpful. Thank you so much! My Chinese teacher says that my grammar is getting a lot better. You have helped me a lot. 谢谢!

  • I wished you were my personal teacher:-) You lessons are very accurate and practical. Thank you for helping. If you wished to learn polish or hungarian just let me know;) Regards

  • I love your videos. Thank you.

  • I always drop my other Chinese lessons when a new Yoyo tip is uploaded. You're the best!

  • Thanks gorgeous!!!

  • Another great lesson! The lessons in grammar are especially helpful in me emailing a sweetheart I left in ZhuHai. Thanks!

  • your majic black board makes it easier to understand your lesson.

  • 你好,

    (你到家的时候,给我打电话)可以吗?

So.( ni dao jia de shi huo gei wo da dian hua ) is that still not possible?

    Cheers

  • @murchie85 Nope. It doesn't sound right and natural. You can use "dao4 jia1" instead of "hui2 jia1" but you'll have to say "ni3 dao4 jia1 YI3 HOU4 gei3 wo3 da3 dian4 hua4". "de shi2 hou" is only used when two actions are happening at the same time. I hope that helps! :)

  • @sloppycheng

Yes it certainly does! I will remember the rule! Cheers!

  • @murchie85 可以

  • @murchie85

I would say sentence your sentence is totally fine.

时候 is a noun, which can refer to something happend, will hapen or happens

For instance, 我小的时候,常常看这部电影. "I always watched this film when I was young".

    For something will happen:

你到家的时候,给我打电话。 "Call me when you are back home."

    For something happens:

我伤心的时候常常看这部电影。“I watched this film when I am sad.”

“的时候” is more similar to English "the time when..." it does not indicate "two actions are hapeening at the same time"

  • 秧秧언니, 谢谢你!可以说你背景用的哪个软件?

  • thanks!

  • nice lesson, beautiful Chinese !

  • you are a great teacher!
