  • theres no way i would call this good by 80s standards or what ever, and I'm sure if she looked at it again, she would cringe at how bad she was...no,this isnt remotely like Bauhaus or Siouxsie or March Violets or anything

  • wow, finally some 80s music i like.

  • the drummers just like, "what the fuck are you doing?... this is really awkward looking at you right now..."

  • that lead singer is very annoying to me

  • Mike Demers, I'm in San Diego where you?

  • wow, i love it

  • Yeah, super artsy. NY and LA were full of art punk/goth back then, the Rugrats, the Spine, a bunch of others. Awesome.

  • this is one of those kinds of music that scare me but at the same time I can't stop listening to it.

  • ey. thats the year I was bornin

  • haha her scream is f*cking funny and f*cking stupid xD !

  • meow

  • 3:49 wow,, how does she make that sound!!...

  • @BearWindAppleyard ya thats the mating call of the doofus!

  • Weird. Souxie meets the residents. I wish we had Hi Def video back then.

  • @bluevidcam Can see what you mean, but definitely more souixie than the residents, in my oppinion. interesting song tho...

  • mystical :D!!

  • I LIKE DIS SHIT MON!!!

  • JAJAJJAJA grita bien kagado!!!

    RULESS! ♥

  • Perfectly enjoyable.

    80's Post-punk with a hint of prog.

    Technically good and original.

Don't understand why people hate it.

  • Mmm I can't decide if I like it or not, I think I do...

  • I love avant garde stuff like this.

  • This is so much better than Post-punk. Did they ever release anything? Like a record?

  • Are you sure?

  • The singer's hair is to a Chelsea what the Amazon rainforrest is to my front lawn.

  • Haha it took me a while to understand that, cos of the "a" Chelsea, you do mean the garden show, yeah?

  • If by "garden show" you mean skinhead girl haircut, then yeah.

  • Na I meant the chelsea flower show, i remember what it's called. Dont worry m8 ur proberly very confused as am I!

your comment: The singer's hair is to a Chelsea what the Amazon rainforrest is to my front lawn. ...Well I thought you meant the Chelsea flower show, if not I dont get the comment. Anyways forget it!

  • I can't find any releases by this band anywhere. Can someone help me get find an ep or anything by these rambunctious dikes?

  • Well ya kinda

  • Wow! vrdadera xperimentacion 5/8 trancaooo XD!!! masiao bueno =D!

  • huh?

  • It's a fuck'n nice song, but would do away cooler guitar whit this song..

  • nice!

  • That opening guitar-distortion sound was extremely Bauhaus-esque.

    Good stuff.

  • @Chaossspirit I thought the same

  • wow, this band is fucking rare.

  • It's post-punk/gothic rock, just about.

    Learn yo' genres.

  • I like it.

  • Save yourself some typing and just call it what it was called: "Death Rock".

  • thats for sure not deathrock...

  • What would you have called this in 1986? More to the point, what answer would you have got when you asked "Mommy, what's dis music called?"

  • lol!

  • harrrk what a selfhating, bitter man watching videos of music he hates!!

  • I actually stumbled on this looking for something else.

Even the worst death metal was better than this.

  • Wow this is good anyways love the sound!

  • Knew the old bass player Steve V. who was obssessed with learning how to levitate! Saw Dogma live and it was just like what you have here...prog-alt-punk maybe? Very unusual, even for then, but that was when 'anything goes' was the order of the day, when people like Johanna Went were leading the pack for such trailblazers. CD of lost recordings maybe? :} And yes, the drummer is HOT.

  • Rena has got to be one of the most bombastic drummers since David Eon grace the stage with Threshold. I love Vicki's lyrics. This band totally rocked back in the day. I was there to see it happen...and lucky enough in some small way to be a part of it.

  • plastic spider hangs for guitar, very gothic hehe

  • what exactly is hanging from the headstock of the singer's guitar?

Ive been staring at that thing bounce around since i first saw it--what is it?!

  • This is a little hard to digest, but you can't help but be intrigued. I'm curious as to what they're up to these days.

  • Interesting.

  • I imagine lol

  • I enjoy this *dances along*

  • i lyke the howling

but i'm not a big fan of the mullet

    lol

mullets are just a pet peeve, that's all...

  • That is far from a mullet.

  • oh? what's it then? a chelsea?

  • screw you; idiot!

  • Cool band....

  • gayest band ever!

  • howls along

    i do love the howls

    any releases?

  • Dogma Probe released a 7" vinyl single in 1982... you can usually find them on gemm dot com web site.

Also had the track "Thirteen" on the COMA compilation LP...but not the better version. The single version is better...HOWEVER the band was best in it's last incarnation as seen in the videos captured at the Music Machine in 1986. We had Ken Ando on guitar and Mike Demers on bass, definitely our best line-up. So the videos are the only record of the band as it was meant to sound.

  • 5 more videos, band flyers and photos are online at dogmaprobe dot com

  • HELL YEAH!

  • this band sounds cool!

  • The beginning of gothic i think :D

  • you think wrong.

  • I don't care

  • They ran from 1980-1986. You figure it out. I would say that 1980 is close to the beginning of Gothic.

  • in fact Gothic was born litle bit before 80's when no one use this terme "gothic" lol but explose in the 80's and every side of it! Deathrock at LA and batcave in uk same as the gothicrock scene explose at the same time all around the world!

To be honest i really dont think this band was having any kind of influence on the gothic sub-culture...no offence.

  • Before the 80's, Goth was reffered to post punk I believe. Siouxsie and Peter with their bands are often under the post punk genre.

  • or sometimes 'gloom' in the us i was told. goth wasnt really common as a label in the 80s afaik.

  • sweet shit man

  • this band needs a retrospective released.

  • I know.

  • Nice one. :) Is there any site for this band, perhaps with some downloadable sounds, I'd appreciate it.

  • look at the name of the user who posted the video for your answer

  • Oh, now I feel like such a jerk... for not taking peoples youtube-nicks in account before posting questions... God, how could I be so stupid? It's the most logical thing in the world!

  • So I tried typing 'BatShakerJami' in but that web-page doesn't work!

  • i love vicki the way sing, look and play

  • The drummer has a beautiful smile

  • awesome!!!!

  • crazy howling grrls! surprised this was in 1986!

  • cool!

  • I love this 1980's stuff...it's cool how this band was undiscovered but now we can hear them. The internet rocks!!

  • I agree
