  • ummmmm, if someone's hips are really tight they cannot possibly begin where you suggest. what you have demonstrated are BOTH advanced variations. you need to begin by showing a much more modified pose then the more advanced. hey, good luck!

  • @Tori57 I disagree. My hips were tight when I started and by doing this (and Dashama's other videos) they are much more open.

    Obviously not everyone will get this open the first time they try it, I know I didn't. However, now I can do the poses this deep.

  • Hi Dashama. Great videos and teaching. Can you advise around recover please? I have been achieving slow progress but I am often sore the next day. Should I rest the area that is sore and work another area? As a guy my inner thighs and hips are very tight. Can you tell me why the hips and thighs are particularly tight? Thank you.   • I'm pretty small on top my hips and thighs I have struggled. Since, I did gymnastics in my earlier years the poses were easy for me. I could do them all and I felt my hips. Thanks.

  • That was very helpful - I was hoping you would do another inner thigh / hip stretch. When you have tight hips, a position like pigeon has to be done carefully because it can put a lot of stress on the knee. I have done the frog stretch almost three years now and don't seem to be getting any more flexible, so these other exercises may help.
