  • The Sun is Jim Martin.

  • THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!!!! brilliant!!!

  • Toss the corn into the sun and roast it!!!

  • 2:43 - Shredder?!? Shredder?!? haha

  • Wow...and I thought I liked classic Sesame Street! You people really know your stuff!

  • EGGS: "MUMMY!!"

Guy Smiley:" That's right! Here's your mum Stephenie Chicken!"

  • here's you mum! stephenie chicken!! *yeah!!!*

  • To everybody's concern on who voices the sun, I think it's Martin P. Robinson.

  • Corny the Corn IS really corny! HAHAHA

  • If you ask me, they should've gotten a nice all-expenses-paid vacation -- namely to "EGG-GUADOR" ("ECUADOR").

  • "that's right guy, i remember laying every single one of 'em"

    goodnight everybody! (sorry, couldn't resist.)

  • Marty Robinson and Pam Arcieo can be heard as the eggs, Camilie Bonara performed the chicken, Jerry Nelson performed the corn, Richard Hunt performed Farmer Fowler, and Kevin Clash performed the cloud. I don't really know who performed the sun. I'm guessing Rick Lyon?

  • I think Frank Oz was the cloud and Kevin Clash was the sun, the cloud sounded like the one in the "Here is your life, Oak Tree" sketch.

  • That can't be Rick Lyon as the sun because according to Muppet Wiki, he didn't start until 1990, and this is from the 80s.

  • BTW, That corn puppet also appeared in "The Eating Game."

  • Nah, I think it's Steve Whitmire doing the sun, But I'm not sure. But the cloud sounds more like Frank Oz. But the cloud looks grayer than the one in HIYL: Oak Tree episode.

  • I thought it was Frank at first, but when you listen closely, you find that there's a real trace of Hoots the Owl in his voice. And I highly doubt that Steve is the Sun. Doesn't sound like him to me.

  • That's what I call a free-range hen!

  • All the way from the sky.. HAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHHA

  • Sesame Street??? I can only comment these:

    Cute! Cute! Cute! LOL

  • (At 1:14) Only on Sesame Street can you have a female guest say so innocently, "That's right, Guy: I remember laying every single one of them"(probably also what Pamela Lee would say about her favorite rock band).

(Breaking into song) "Be--cause a hooker is a person in your neighborhood, in your neighborhood, in your neigh-bor-hood, a hooker is a person in your neighborhood: they're the people that you meet when you're walking down the street each daaaaay!!!"

    LMAO.

  • do you have any idea how dumb that sounds

  • That's right. Stop being so stupid. This is educational for little children.

  • That's not funny. When the hen said she laid every single one of them, she was referring to the eggs. Get your head out of the clouds.

  • love it, used to watch Sesame Street when I was a kid, it was on after school.

  • My sis and I still call baby corns [like in chinese food] "cornies" b/c of this skit.. lol.

    "Corney!!"

  • ahhh ha ha!

  • Talking eggs... this makes me want to become a Vegan... shiver!

  • What about Stephanie the chicken talking about how yummy her eggs are? That's creepy. She doesn't know how good she'll taste when she's stuffed and roasted and smothered in gravy! hehe.

  • My thoughts "eggs"-actly.

  • that was by far the worst clucking chicken impression I have ever heard

  • So, Corny is Jerry Nelson, Stephanie Chicken is Fran Brill, Farmer Fowler is Martin P. Robinson, and the cloud is Frank Oz (I think). But what about the sun? I understand if no one can help me with the eggs.

  • :-) I'm pretty sure Frank Oz is the cloud. My son said "oh cookie" when he heard the voice.

  • Yeah, it's Frank Oz!

And the Sun's the Count! (I've forgotten his name :( )

  • No, I'm certain Jerry Nelson doesn't voice the sun in this sketch, though he did in the Oak Tree one. I'm thinking it's probably someone like Kevin Clash.

  • Yeah, if it isn't Jerry Nelson then I think it must be Kevin Clash!

  • That corn's jokes are so...corney!

  • You better not talk so loud. They have ears, you know. "Ears of corn"?? LOL

  • i love when he says everyone is from

  • Yes, a very hard-boiled (whoops!) heartfelt reunion

  • The cloud sounds a bit like a big big cookie moster

  • So MUCH better than today's dumbed-down Elmo shit. Back then, there was an art to it - almost a skit comedy show at times, but aimed for kids. I feel bad for my daughter, but I'll make sure she knows these classics over "Elmo say... Elmo likes!"

  • Darn, this supermarket reminds me of the Pinole Vista Lucky's in Pinole when I was first seen this.

  • LOL @ farmer fowler shaking his head

  • extremely creative. looking back you can see that sesame street wasn't so much educational, but a way to bring parents and child together. genious.

  • I love here is your life. this series is so creative. Sesame Street was & is my favorite babysitter.lol

  • i'm not sure but didn't zoe make an appearance during 1 here is your life sketch?

  • out of all of the sesame street sketches that i remember from when i was a kid, this 1 was my absolute favorite,

  • Those eggs have got to be the *smallest* Muppets ever seen on Sesame Street! Unless, of course, someone somewhere knows different...

  • the worm!

  • I remember being scared when the cloud started talking <:O

  • Here is your life.. please..!

a parody of "Take my wife, no please, take my wife"

another example of how this show will live forever. a show for both kids and adults. and if you take it in the context of the times, it touched on some very pertinent issues.

I'm am very proud to have have grown up when there was actually something worth showing our children on television.

  • and i think that's more of a play on words than a parody.

  • i think you're right.

  • How does the carton Of eggs Know that Guy Smiley Is talking About them

  • Perhaps, Lbertucci4132, because Guy Smiley shouts "Carton of eggs, here is your life!" at the top of his voice! :-)

If, however, you mean how does that particular carton know, perhaps because it was the only one containing Muppet eggs on the display. It would have made for a rather one-sided sketch if a carton of ordinary eggs had been the subject... :-)

  • Maybe because he "eggs"-splained what he did to the audience. LOL!!!

  • What year is this clip from?

  • Wow here is your life mommy lol

  • Why didn't they use Humpty Dumpty as the guest for a personified egg? They had a Humpty Dumpty Muppet.

  • I was waiting for an omelette or something to come in as used to being the carton next to them. Oh, btw Steph, those aren't your babies, those are the equivelant of abortions, I believe.

  • wierd

  • i don't remember the sun and the cloud

  • and did any1 else notice that guy kinda looked like oscar at the beginning.

  • what did the corn say at the end? i didn't get it

  • This is the ickiest and corniest skit I've ever seen in those days.

  • Yippee! Thank you so much!

  • Gotta love the corn's jokes!

  • All right! I've been waiting for this! Thank you sawing14s!
