There's a reason why we stick our knees out... to know how much tire we have left... Riding like that just makes it harder on yourself.. Not to mention destroys motorcycle balance..
glad he's okay. might want to take a look again at his body position since he's riding crossed up which might not have completely avoid the crash but was a big contributor.
@roccophilly You're so right. I noticed that too. He's fast as hell around the track. He'd be alot better if he looked through the turns instead of riding with a crossed lean
My bet is non-hot tires too. Appears like they were on it from the get go. From cash to trash is a split second. Tough to see a nice piece of machinery being splintered.....oh and the rider too.
Ouch!!! Low sided turn 2? Actually first time watching this I saw it coming before it happened. He went into #2 way to hot. I myself low sided in turn 3 going up into the omega back in 1995.
I crashed in turn 3 on September 22, 2008. Freaking broke my right leg. It was a simple low side. The bike just got dirty. The frame sliders did their job.
Tucked the front end, bad body position, and he is to heavy / fast for stock suspension, loaded up the forks, and bottomed the forks leaned over.. Bye Bye!
I'm learning - What do you mean he tucked the front end- Did he apex too late? I"M a heavier guy and go on the track - didn't realize you could bottom out the suspension.
I weigh 240 and I ride a 750. I would sya over 300 is too much weight for a small sportbike. The riders weight did not cause this crash. He had cold/worn tires.
The last thing you want to do is pull over and stop on the track. I think it was cool that he clicked to the rear camera as he went by. Check the Willow instructional video and you'll understand who you're watching.

1. He was not going that fast.
2. Why in the hell was out in the marbles at the entry to two.
3. Suspension was totally loaded
4. Was a weird deal as i had tucked the front many a time and never had the bike flip and flop like like.........supports number 3
5. Dude needs to talk to some of the regulars

Guess you didnt drink your milk. What happened to cause you to break your right leg? 3 is a low speed left yet you broke your right leg?
rearwheelslider 3 years ago
I hate milk, but I guess I'm going to have to learn to like it.
I keep asking myself the same question. I did go into the turn pretty hot.I think the leg broke while I was tumbling up the hill.

I am 240 and I ride a 750 on the track in a group. Fast.
He tucked the front(front end lost grip/slid out). You easily bottom out the forks under hard braking but they should not bottom out mid corner.

how much is considered too heavy? because i ride an r6 and i weight aprox 180
