@zxenon555 I think he might have when he lived in Alameda (freshman- half of soph year) But when he moved to Alexandria, he didn't swim. I saw a picture of someone that look alot like Jim morrison posing with a swim team. looked like it was from the fifties too, but idk if that was him. He's been an enigma since birth!!

@zxenon555 just because it says that does not necessarily mean the sources are valid, he definitely didn't swim for his HS team if that's what your implying, he may have in a recreational sense for fun, but idk, read the book The Lizard King was here, its about his life in Alexandria, very accurate and doesn't leave things to a lot of speculation

he hated his dad for being really strict. apparently he had to say "sir" and "ma'am" at home. he hated his mother for succumbing like that but, he said, "that's her husband". Then of course the dads involvement in the army and the fact they had to move so many times all over the US. He lived off his dad for years while at Uni in UCLA for his bachelor degree. They used to send him money and pay his rent & expenses. He had everything but not what he really wanted probably.

i've often thought that he might have been ashamed of his father's (u.s. navy admiral george stephen morrison) heavy involvment in the vietnam war. also, his father, being a navy man and all, was known to be somewhat strict and i think jim remained bitter about that for a long time.
