how this for magnesium explosions.... at a friends party they had a petrol/oil drum half filled with powdered magnesium, put it in the back yard (they have a huge backyard) light it on fire then proceeded to throw bottles of water into... they had about 2-3 seconds to sprint as fast as they could away from it before it burned white... note it was almost pitch black when they did it for the period of time it burnt you would swear it was during the day about noon....XD

thats y water or CO2 isn't used to put out aircraft fires, Mg and Al alloys burn so hot it can split CO2 into C and O2 same with H2O thats why it reacts so violently.

or just buy some online o.O ebay, kijiji, or even fuckin walmart sells it, i made magnesium smoke bombs before. works great. especially for fireworks :] putting fire on the whole firework is way more fun. that way XD

sulfur.. used for making flashpowder more sensitive, yellow powder and also mostly for black powder.. so its almost impossible to get -.-*

Dude, have I got a story for you... We had some Magnesium flakes and we wanted powder so we filled a blender with flakes and turned it on, about ten minutes into it the blender got too hot I guess because it burst into flames and went everywhere, there was about a cup of fine powder, it was burning slow like the first of your video and we dumped it out so it wouldnt burn the blender, and it flamed huge like the end of your video, we decited to try and put it out, threw snow on it, huge explosion

Mesh is a measure of particle size. The higher the mesh, the smaller the particle size. I think mesh means openings per linear inch or something like that.

try your local hardware store for Stump Remover. If they have it, take it home, boil up a pot of water, and mix in the stump remover OUTDOORS. make sure you double the amount of water to the stump remover. once it dissolves, leave it for about 5 hours. When you come back, there should be crystallized potassium nitrate, dump it through a few coffee filters which drains into a different bowl and take the crystals into a dry environment. let them dry, crush them into a powder and enjoy.
