One thing I didn't quite get... The ship went into hyperspace in one direction, but the debris flying towards us included the bridge and engines... Not sure how an explosion would launch bits on opposite ends of the ship would fly the same direction. Just an observation, I don't want to start an internet argument or anything.

this game was just so damn good. i have never played a game so expansive with so much "fit and finish" and attention to detail considering the limitations of the time. it was/is truly a masterpiece.

@Mrster Simple. TIE Fighter. The story feels like you are part of the series. The gameplay surpasses X-Wing in every angle and the feel of serving the Empire helps you understand the other side of the Galactic War.

Alright. Yeah I loved that game too. When you play Star Wars games you either want to be in the space battles, or be a jedi. I think TIE Fighter is the better game all in all, but I love Jedi Outcast and I put it right behind it in the Star Wars game series.

@Mrster Look at it this way... TIE Fighter is a game that lets you see things on the other side. Where the Rebellion wishes to fight for the galaxy's freedom, the Empire wants to bring order.

@MegamanNG yeah, I just need more content. I've done Tie Fighter, XWA, X-Wing rages me on some missions but its basically done, and XVT I'm probs gonna start playing soon. All I want is a new game with a long story, proper online, and decent difficulty. Its also pretty interesting watching your gameplay, different styles of playing are always fun to watch. Is this FRAPS btw, Im thinking about making some XVT vids:l

Wow. Finished this game just now, I can honestly say this is possibly one of the best games I've ever played. The plot was better than all other X-Wing games imo, the missions were far more fun and challenging, and the game isn't too short like XWA. Thanks for posting these vids, so I can see how you beat some missions, and I also agree this game needs to be remade for co-op. Hell, any remake or new game would be good. How about missions after Endor when the Empire is struggling?

@Elkoorps That's what I want to have. A Post-Endor storyline that occurs after the Empire had been defeated and now they are struggling to survive against the Rebels.

Well done I'm glad you got to complete it! I hope my videos helped. I do hope they do re-make this, but I doubt they will anytime soon with Old republic and Force Unleashed 2 on the way. They could even sneak in some cameos from other star wars and even add a bonus mission at the end where you cover the escape of Imperial forces after the D star blows up.

I know how you feel. That's what Zaarin gets for betraying not only the Emperor but the Empire.

I will even make a petition if I have to for the sole purpose of getting Lucasarts, Lawrence Holland and the crew who put the game together to remake this game with not only great graphics, awesome controls, better AI but the inclusion of online co-op and the ability to play any Imperial craft in any mission of the game. Imagine the possibilities.
