Pity I don't have the money to invest. I live in the UK but if I lived in Canada, I would offer my help with his research in whatever way I could, this guy is a genius.

There is that. Aiko seems much more advanced than a lot of other androids, robots & such that I've seen out there, even though she can't emulate human emotions yet. Most of the other robots, androids, fembots, etc., just seem like electronic marionettes w / marginal A.I. No real semi - autonomous programming.

An Aiko robot / android would be very expensive, I can see having a company that leases them for domestic services ( Make of that what you will ), but until they started assembly line production of them, you couldn't just buy one at the local " Robots 'R' Us " outlet.

Aiko does seem actually intelligent compared to something like the HRP 4 C, which basically just sashays around & looks pretty w/ out showing much independent intellect.

A " lease option " for a robot / android would make sense, just like renting the services of a temp. secretary or a tech. consultant on a contract basis, although the robot wouldn't actually receive the money.

As I said " Domestic services " could mean anything from housework & cooking, clerical duties, to, erm, ( awkward pause ) something more personal..... !
