I believe the bible and what it tells us. Salvation of our spirits is received by grace through faith and that not by works. Salvation of our souls, however continues through our life as we renew our minds with the word of God. If we fail to use God's word to renew our minds, then we stand the risk of losing the salvation of our spirits because we will do all kinds of things that are contrary to God's will which will take us out of fellowship with him and we will loose our righteousness status

We have to be careful about what we hear. Our beliefs must be based on the Scriptures. I learned that we must be VERY CAREFUL about listening to the people. I see how important it is to study the Word of God. We cannot afford to be led astray.

In the meantime, I encourage you to read BOTH Charismatic Chaos by John MacArthur and The New Charismatics by Michael G. Moriarty. The latter one is harder to find than the former, but, IIRC, Moriarty was actually involved with the Charismatics.

Part 2: I've been down the charismatic road before. I know what you're going through. I know that they don't know how to rightly divide the word of Truth. I know that most Charismatics are anthropocentric as opposed to being theocentric. The Charismatic movement has been critiqued numerous times and found to be wanting because of the blatant eisegesis that they implement, and the fact that they refuse to practice sound, expository exegesis and preaching.
Several parts here to post, because PGE has obviously made an odious fool out of herself.

From the comments here, and the references to other users in the video, it looks like a lot of people are worried and trying to figure out which person to follow. Have faith that your soul will be fine without a charismatic person leading you. If you don't have that faith, if you're not secure in the belief you're not doomed, your fear makes you vulnerable to whoever promises salvation for believing what they say.
I too have been attacked lately by people who are self righteous and go around spewing hate but proclaiming they are of God and that I am of the Devil with no Love or conscious to feel the need to even have a civilized conversation. It breaks my heart, especially when they profess to be Christian.

I was experiencing sympathy pains for you, my sister. When people reject the authority of Scripture (the revealed Word found in the CLOSED cannon of Old and New Testament), then really everything is up for grabs. Which is precisely why crowds of people fall down to the flailings of Benny Hinn. PureGraceEvangelism is not only deceived, but clearly a deceiver, with no fear of God. Hopefully the Lord will open her eyes, and turn her from her wickedness.

@smytb Excellent input. I too believe God can & does "occasional & individual" miracles today, but nothing like on the Benny Hinn circus show. He healed me. Also check out the video "Authentic Healing" - it's on my Favorites List as well as my John MacArthur Playlist. And yes! The more one reads scripture, the more they fall in love with it. It is the means by which God transforms lives. To go against Sola Scriptura is to go against the very foundations of Protestantism.
Not to be confused with works, as we have been Justified! Through the preaching of repentance, the Lord works the Sanctification of the saint (Romans 6).

Righteousness and justification, sanctification and holiness are all given and received by grace through faith. @jfranklins as a member of a church that is going more charismatic every week - I have to say that the majority of what I am seeing in this particular experience is a bunch of wishful thinking and emotion. I am watching, praying, and learning. I am being patient... but I believe most of the people in the church I am in are fooling themselves - thinking they are walking in the fulness of the HS but not even realizing what that really means. @christoferL Interesting input. The Charismatics are a Movement that came out of Pentecostalism and sadly, have infiltrated other denominations, not just your church - whatever that is. You have good discernment though. It IS wishful thinking, as if God has now become our personal genie, at our command. Beware. I know if someone felt I sinned against them, I'd do all I could. I had sent her 2 additional responses on her video before even sending her the e-mail, which she laughed off. And in my e-mail, I was explicit about making a public response, so it's not as if I blindsided her.

As for Paul Washer, I don't deny he's a christian, one who loves Jesus and is loved by God. But I believe his message is a corruption of the pure gospel of Christ . My Bible teaches that I must love my brothers, and that a false prophet is one who denies Christ or turns the grace of God into licentiousness,not someone with whom I disagree.

I just go by what the Bible says, & that exalts GOD'S Word over mine, not denies it. God still speaks to us today - the same way He always did - through His Word. Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today & tomorrow. What's wrong w /Calvinism?
Read "Christianity in Crisis 21st Century".This is a very good book that exposes the dangerous teachings as compared with scripture that abound on TBN.IF ONE IS A REAL BEREAN and seeks to know and obey the Word this book gives a clear warning concerning Hinn,Osteen,Dollar,Meyer and many more.The problem is few study the Word and they lack discernment or have itching ears.A strong message of holiness and repentance and surrender to Jesus will surely be attacked .New revelations:NO WAY.

If a person is claiming to receive midnight messages from the Lord, but then shuns the suggestion to hold their message to Scripture, that is a big problem. A messenger of the Lord would be all the more glad to hold their teaching to His Word. And if somebody (even most importantly) is claiming to be a "teacher," and refuses to hold their teachings accountable to Scripture, and shuns correction to do such, I think that is a MAJOR problem. With Paul Washer it's always more ,more ,more...it's never grace and resting in His favor...it's what you do. What he preaches is not the pure Gospel.

I believe the bible and what it tells us. Salvation of our spirits is received by grace through faith and that not by works. Salvation of our souls, however continues through our life as we renew our minds with the word of God. If we fail to use God's word to renew our minds, then we stand the risk of losing the salvation of our spirits because we will do all kinds of things that are contrary to God's will which will take us out of fellowship with him and we will loose our righteousness status

Part 2: I've been down the charismatic road before. I know what you're going through. I know that they don't know how to rightly divide the word of Truth. I know that most Charismatics are anthropocentric as opposed to being theocentric. The Charismatic movement has been critiqued numerous times and found to be wanting because of the blatant eisegesis that they implement, and the fact that they refuse to practice sound, expository exegesis and preaching.

From the comments here, and the references to other users in the video, it looks like a lot of people are worried and trying to figure out which person to follow. Have faith that your soul will be fine without a charismatic person leading you. If you don't have that faith, if you're not secure in the belief you're not doomed, your fear makes you vulnerable to whoever promises salvation for believing what they say.

I was experiencing sympathy pains for you, my sister. When people reject the authority of Scripture (the revealed Word found in the CLOSED cannon of Old and New Testament), then really everything is up for grabs. Which is precisely why crowds of people fall down to the flailings of Benny Hinn. PureGraceEvangelism is not only deceived, but clearly a deceiver, with no fear of God. Hopefully the Lord will open her eyes, and turn her from her wickedness.

@smytb Excellent input. I too believe God can & does "occasional & individual" miracles today, but nothing like on the Benny Hinn circus show. He healed me. Also check out the video "Authentic Healing" - it's on my Favorites List as well as my John MacArthur Playlist. And yes! The more one reads scripture, the more they fall in love with it. It is the means by which God transforms lives. To go against Sola Scriptura is to go against the very foundations of Protestantism.

@GRANTEDREPENTANCE Holiness preaching is wonderful, the fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom! However condemnation, self doubt, legalism, works righteousness come from the Devil. Righteousness and justification, sanctification and holiness are all given and received by grace through faith. We can have full confidence that God is able to finish that which He started and we can boldly come before the throne of grace with full confidence as children of God. Praise the LORD!

God wants us to be confident, fully trusting in the finished Work of Christ , not continually doubting God's trustworthiness or whether one ever truly believed in the first place.

@jfranklins as a member of a church that is going more charismatic every week - I have to say that the majority of what I am seeing in this particular experience is a bunch of wishful thinking and emotion. I am watching, praying, and learning. I am being patient... but I believe most of the people in the church I am in are fooling themselves - thinking they are walking in the fulness of the HS but not even realizing what that really means. @christoferL Interesting input. The Charismatics are a Movement that came out of Pentecostalism and sadly, have infiltrated other denominations, not just your church - whatever that is. You have good discernment though. It IS wishful thinking, as if God has now become our personal genie, at our command. Beware. I know if someone felt I sinned against them, I'd do all I could. I had sent her 2 additional responses on her video before even sending her the e-mail, which she laughed off. And in my e-mail, I was explicit about making a public response, so it's not as if I blindsided her.

It will explain where PGE is in error, as are all Charismatics. Basically, they make stuff up, like "God wants me to have a BMW" (listen to her video,) or "God spoke to me & said...(fill in the blank.)" If it's not in the Bible, God didn't speak it. Period.

Read "Christianity in Crisis 21st Century".This is a very good book that exposes the dangerous teachings as compared with scripture that abound on TBN.IF ONE IS A REAL BEREAN and seeks to know and obey the Word this book gives a clear warning concerning Hinn,Osteen,Dollar,Meyer and many more.The problem is few study the Word and they lack discernment or have itching ears.A strong message of holiness and repentance and surrender to Jesus will surely be attacked .New revelations:NO WAY.

When we quarrel with one another feeling the urge to retaliate ...we usually are in the "flesh" ,not walking in the Spirit. If a person is claiming to receive midnight messages from the Lord, but then shuns the suggestion to hold their message to Scripture, that is a big problem. A messenger of the Lord would be all the more glad to hold their teaching to His Word. And they certainly wouldn't tell people to have "faith" in them, in what they are saying, without appealing to scripture. God Bless you bro :)

She's not denying the Word of God or even putting prophecy above or against the Word, she's simply saying the righteous shall live by faith. She never said to accept her word by faith, you misunderstood, she was speaking about the Holy Scriptures when she made that statement. @jfranklins First of all, I saw where PGE said to the poster he was to take what she said by faith. SKP is NOT making a mountain out of a molehill, nor bearing false witness against another Christian. She is telling the truth. PGE bases her teachings, not soley on scripture, but her own thoughts, feelings & experiences. Are we to trust a FALLIBLE Charismatic's personal thoughts, feelings & experiences or the INFALLIBLE Word of God alone? What does Revelation say about adding to the Word?

@Passiflora101 Exactly. She was not speaking of the Scriptures when she said that, the guy was asking about her video. And if there was misunderstanding w/her response to my post, she made zero effort in clearing it. I know if someone felt I sinned against them, I'd do all I could. I sent 2 additional responses on her video, which she laughed off, before sending the e-mail. And, I was explicit about making a public response, so it's not as if I blindsided her! I told her straight out.

It is intended to infuriate you when someone acts superior, insults you, and then calls you "beloved". That is not the Spirit of God. We have to seek Jesus for peace when we are attacked in the area of peace.

Well, she certainly has a right to question the teachings of anyone who she thinks is in error, but when Benny Hinn, Creflo Dollar, Joel Osteen, etc gets a pass, there is something radically wrong. Also, deliberately misrepresenting what someone has said is a violation of the ninth commandment.

@ProclaimHisWord Amein. However, people do get visions and revelations (of His Word) from God today, I know that is true. However, yes, "words from God" constantly in the middle of the night that don't match up with the Word of God or the Gospel and / or "visions" (lies or deceptive visions) that get in the way of the Word of God (the Bible) is where I have a problem with it, no apologies about it. And yes, can anyone say "finalcall07."

@kkkkkkatherine God Bless you sis :) I knew some wouldn't agree, but it's so important for Scripture to be our authority in all matters...for someone saying they're a "teacher" to then feel threatened when told teaching needs to be held to scripture...big red flag. And to then be deliberately deceptive about it, is just weird. My comment wasn't even pointed at anything *specific* she said. All I said was, we need to look to Scripture. Apparently, she took offense & that needed to be censored.

Man, there are so many wacky people on here claiming "Divine revelation," a "direct connection to God," or that they are not accountable to hold their "teachings" to Scripture...it's really scary. It makes me most afraid for youngin's in the faith...which is the whole reason I even do a video like this. We need to compare everything to scripture!

My sister, thank you so much for this video. The Lord is calling upon all of us to use discernment when it comes to listening to anyone that proclaims to have a word or new revelation from the Lord. There is NO new revelation!!! I have seen and heard just about everything since I became a Christian; having worked for years with a major Ministry. It saddens me to see the numbers of people that flock, with itching ears, to the many false teachers that abound in this world. God bless you!

@milviewgal thank you sister :) To deny the authority of Scripture is to deny the authority of Word of God. And if somebody (even most importantly) is claiming to be a "teacher," and refuses to hold their teachings accountable to Scripture, and shuns correction to do such, I think that is a MAJOR problem. Somebody claiming to be a teacher is putting themselves in a position of even greater responsibility, and they must be all the more accountable.

She refused a gentle rebuke, and then lied against me (about something not just central to my faith), but on something that is a central part of Christianity!...all so that she could continue teaching falsehoods! Major falsehoods!

I think you're the first person here that actually called me a "carnal christian" lol. I try to be as open as possible about all communications. And if somebody is on here is claiming to be a "teacher" and actively being deceptive (as in the video), I do see that as a serious problem. God Bless.

Basically she quoted scripture and didn't want to be dragged into an argument. You're twisting the meaning of her words. You got all bent out of shape over something she probably had nothing to do with...YouTube deletes comments all the time.

@jfranklins Do you understand that nearly all of the heresy coming out of the church today has it's roots in Pentecostalism? The UPC sect denies the Trinity, then there's the Emergent churches, Seeker-Sensitives, & the Word of Faith Blab It & Grab It Prosperity pimps. It's mind-boggling, but Jesus said in the last days, it would get worse. I recommend doing a study of church history & how & when the denominations & movements were formed & what their distinctives are.

You accuse her of being a false prophet , denying the primacy of scripture ...on such flimsy evidence? Because she quoted scriptures about being filled with the Holy Spirit and walking by faith? It's pretty popular to mischaracterize people on YouTube nowadays ...or call them false prophets even though they trust in Jesus and are washed in the Blood of the Lamb.

@jfranklins No, it was intentional. She has been doing it to others here as well, as I had noticed it all throughout her comments. You know what, I would never have even noticed if she posted my comments or not. I had no plans of even going back there. If she "didn't want to be dragged into an argument" she would have said nothing at all. And this is a woman who has been harassing my video viewers for weeks, picking fights all over the place on my page.

@jfranklins And if she were just "quoting scripture" she would have chosen appropriate scripture to what I was saying, not scripture that insinuates that I questioned that we know His Word by faith. Before I said anything, she was against me b/c I have Paul Washer videos. There's more to the story, believe me. I wasn't able to communicate it all in the video, but if you don't believe me, go to her page, she's been attacking left and right, and is dishonest in her dealings. God Bless you bro :)

@jfranklins And actually, she was spamming my page, is really more like it. At one point, she was recycling so many of her videos on my video responses, I thought she was having difficulty and I was going to e-mail to ask if I could help her out or if she was having a problem attaching. But anyways, she definitely was not trying to avoid an argument, she's been starting fights with my viewers for quite a while. I never intervene with stuff like that though b/c as I said, I never block or delete.

@skintightpotato I believe Paul Washer preaches a works righteousness Gospel even though he claims otherwise. Many people agree with me. "Are you sure you're a christian? Are you sure? Do you read the Bible enough? Do you pray enough? Have you given up enough? Do you do this, do you do that?" With Paul Washer it's always more ,more ,more...it's never grace and resting in His favor...it's what you do. What he preaches is not the pure Gospel.

If he did, please give me the link and I'll be happy to retract with a sincere apology. Much of what he preaches on examining ourselves is to go through 1 John.

@jfranklins What Washer says is "examine yourself to see if you're in the faith," and "make your election sure." It's in the Bible. Do a word search here at YT for a video called, "Paul Washer Interview" and find out what he means, which essentially boils down to the fundamental question - "Did God choose you or did you choose God?" Also search YT for a 3-part series, "Salvation is not a prayer. Ye must be born again."
