This mountain is really hard to find on a map. I can't find anything called 'Hazrat Isultan'. I'm actually curious as to why this host believes this is historical spot for the Sogdian fortress. I was under the impression that its location has long since been lost since the Turk and Arab conquests.

Yeah this Soghdian Rock located in Northern Tajikistan and connected with Uzbekistan. The Soghdian Rock used to belong to Samarkand, thats how is divided now.

Yeah but that's in today day and age....back in the time because of transportation inbreeding with far eastern people was much harder because of natural terrain and topography. Based on their location they would've had more chances of mating with middle eastern people or even with Arab Aryans. I think they looked very different from what they look like today...its been a couple thousand years don't forget.. =)
