  • Best movie of all time imho, it truly ages like wine.

  • At the time, MGM was independently owned and not owned by a media conglomerate. This movie would never had been made otherwise.

  • scary

  • and Shekels.

  • Comment removed

  • 3 people voted for Obama

  • @rockstarr469 you have to be fool if you think that it is an Obama's creation... people look deeper. there are more powerful rulers behind the scenes.

  • @MHlvenok "there are exxon. and dupon.." and macdonalds and walmarts... :(

  • "That is the atomic and subatomic, galactic structure of things today, and you have meddled with the primal forces of nature so you will atone". There is only Exxon, IBM...lol XD excellently evil.

  • What's wrong with the world in 5 minutes

  • They tell you that you can't smoke and you cordially oblige. They say, "you must wear your seat belt" and you say, "I must"! They force you to pay the multi million dollar insurance establishments even more of your hard earned Money and you say, "well done." They say, " we must increase your Taxes to pay for our greed" and you say, " It's the only solution". This Take back our Country talk is a Joke!!

  • @rewind721 No smoking stinks!

  • How was this movie eazied out to the movie scene?

  • Where is that "Primal force" now? seems it's weakened down to more than twice the uselessness than that of what it was before, and all due to inflation that does nothing but to gain physical property of uneven material value.

  • more real talk

  • Ned Beatty is in the movie for only 5 minutes and he gots an Oscar Nomination for this scene here. His acting was amazing here.

  • Holy shit I thaught this was a parody and it looked like Will Ferrel

  • Alex jones...immortal technique...krs-one...luke rudkowski...lupe fiasco

  • Ned Beatty playing one of the Koch brothers? :)

  • God bless Paddy.

  • Three people have meddled with the primary forces of nature, and they will atone!!

  • Occupy Wall Srteet!

  • So true...so so true today. Sad and frightening.

  • Paddy was a prophet. This certainly applies today. Money is politics. Bottom line.

  • This was Ned Beatty's greatest performance since being sodomized by those toothless hillbillies in Deliverance!

  • @n8tureboy Ned Beatty should be remembered by this awesome scene and not that gay soft core porn flick.

  • @Kreimehn

I agree with you! Of course, I was being a little sarcastic, but he delivered a stellar performance in this movie didn't he? Love his dialog and all the inflection in his voice. Good stuff!

  • And YOU have meddled with the primal forces of nature AND YOU WILL ATONE, MR. Beale! Do YOU understand Mr. Beale?

  • SO TRUE! WAKE UP SHEEPLE!! BE THE CHANGE YOU WANT TO SEE IN THE WORLD!!

  • Yep - true dat, what Jensen sez. Let's all take back more indisputable ownership of our respective businesses - what we do, and what we can do, as individuals - and practice bartering more; first, between individuals; then, between bigger and bigger teams, supply chains etc. Let's create and restore real wealth and real value, instead of letting "money managers" make ONLY themselves wealthy via fostering illusions of value, through scam "services" that merely rob true producers.

  • wats so bad about this?

  • @Rekopaa There isnt anything "bad" about this clip. If what you mean is "what is the meaning of this clip", its this (In my opinion).

The guy shouting is a powerful corporate business man who is explaining to Mr Beale how the world is really run. Not by "nations and peoples" but by the companies who produce things. ie dow-the stock market, union carbide-the chemicals for food, fertilizer, paints, etc.

  • as he walks away from the head of the table he's saying he wants the world to be in a place not controlled by the big corporations, but by the people. where "every man has a share [in the world]". Mr Beale is a news anchor man and the old guy is saying he wants Mr Beale to spread the word about how people have power to bring the current system down, to create a better Earth, so "our children will never know war or poverty".

it took me a while to understand this, but I whole heartedly agree

  • @MrShenanigans9

Beale's original message was about people having power. His message after talking to Jensen was the truth about how corporations run the world, and that the people have no power to stop it.

  • @CerpinTaxt37 It's a little ironic, don't you think? Why would Jensen, CEO of CCA, tell a person with wide spread public popularity, to actually tell them the truth for once? Wouldn't it make more sense for Jensen to ask Mr. Beale to lie, or even to fire him, and hire a more suitable person in his place? I asked myself these questions while I was watching the movie, but I could never find any answers.

  • @sinschild07

You're right. It's possible that Jensen genuinely believes in everything he spoke of when he leaves the head of the table in this scene, and believes this 'evangel' is in the best interest of the people. It either speaks to the fact that he knew people would not want to see a message of despair (even if it is the truth) over a message of hope and would end Beale anyway, or he really has been so corrupted as to believe a world of business is the way things should be.

  • Depiction of the elite warning the rebel.

  • George Carlin would make this guy run with his tail between his legs, GO CARLIN! EVERYBODY TELLING THE TRUTH! GO CARLIN! (with Go Pato! rhythm)

  • @Konicava George Carlin is not going anywhere he's been dead since 2008...Bill Hicks has been dead since 1994 and Lenny Bruce since 1966. There are no-more comics left who are brave enough to risk their future financial security to speak truth to power. Only circus clowns trying to get sit-coms.

  • @StrangeIsMyWorld Amen to that, Its time for us to take the stage then.

  • Imagine 0:35 & beyond coming out of the Lots-O'-Huggin' Bear from Toy Story 3...

  • i kneeew IT !!!!!!!

  • I made this discovery a while ago. If you take this video and, at 0:42 you start the theme of The Shinra Company (from Final Fantasy 7 infamy) at this moment, the song synchs up frighteningly well with the speech.

    I mean FRIGHTENINGLY well.

  • Anyone else get some shitty Nicki Minaj song as the top suggestion while watching this video?

  • @1337DementedOne i do lmao xDD

  • I'd fuck an orangutan for the audio to be just a little louder. I got everything on 10 and i still miss a couple words here and there.

  • I'm still amazed that such a movie has made it to the screens. It might've seemed funny then, but it has become the most prophetic movie ever made. It's the scariest movie I've seen yet.

  • @ofiterpunte

Aye...it's what I call 'a revelation of the method' movie. There are a number of them out there....Videodrome & Network make a brilliant double bill in that regard....both centre on television. Much as I love Beale's speeches...it's Jensen's that really takes the biscuit, for a severe reality injection!

  • @ofiterpunte True. It's scary, because this is how things actually are in the modern world. I'd love for things to get better, less revolving around the green paper god, but it seems like things are only getting worse.

  • "I have seen the face of God." -Mr. Beale. Brings a new meaning to "In God We Trust" on the current currency in the U.S.

  • The golden moment when a perfect script gets in the hands of a great actor and director.

  • When are we gonna ditch this fast imploding unsustainable economic system filled with deluded CEOs like Arthur Jensen selling a corporate fantasy utopia ? Humanity is literally at stake here.

  • @dbvalentine god almighty....at least YOU get it dbvalentine.

  • @czar1027

'Jensen's Speech' here is the propaganda/'ideological indoctrination' of the illegitimate 'Predatory Parasite' community that seeks to violate, subvert, and rule over the legitimate Nations of the world.

It is the degenerate spiel of multicult corporatists and many bad business schools, and represents a woeful misrepresentation of Economics.

Maybe we should have a genuinely democratic Nationalist political party, for Pro-Family, Stewardship, & Fair Trade/Economic Patriotism policies.

  • something tragic is going to happen soon

  • The part of the speech where it talks about our children living to see that perfect world, a world with no discrimination, no bigotry, a world of one currency, the Amero, world of no oppression, no poverty, no war, no famine, no crime, no boredom, no disease, a world of one language, English, a new world order. It brings a tear to my eye and... frightens me since it sounds mildly fascistic.

  • @Satchel334 ...just mildly fascistic???

  • Ron Paul is the only honest politician who actually speaks the truth. Too bad that is why he will never get elected. We have an inherently flawed system that is holding the human race back from further evolution. I am glad more and more people are starting to wake up to this. I am angry as hell, and I am not gonna take this SH*T ANYMORE!!!

  • @CosmicTopSecret He will- don't dare doubting it

  • This dude needs to watch the Zeitgeist movies.

  • @Jerwold If somebody doesn't have to watch Zeitgeist, this guy doesn't.

  • @supremumdominae HHHAAA!!!

  • A purely economic perspective is destined to be two dimensional. As a former libertarian, I can understand the perspective - yet he fails to account for all of the aspects of the human experience that fall outside the realm of the corporation. It is true, almost every part of our lives today is touched by the corporation, but that does not mean that the trajectory, much less the happiness, of our lives is determined solely by companies. Monopoly of force still belongs to government as well.

  • He speaks the truth. And at this point, the powers that be don't care if you believe it or not.

  • One of the greatest monologues ever written for ANY medium!!!! And brilliantly acted by Beatty (who deserved the Oscar along with Beatrice Straight in a Supporting role).

  • THE GREAT SIDNEY LUMET...

  • This is the best scene from the best movie ever. It is ecological balance.

  • Money, Dear Boy!

  • Exactly why I still vote Nader.

  • This character pretty much *is* Rupert Murdoch.

  • exoteeelis: Why me? Why do I have to post the video?

me: Because you're on youtube, dummy.

  • 03:40 = venusproject?

  • @STuRMBR1NGER exactly.

  • Zionist rule the banking system therefore they rule the world. Fuckin pigs.

  • Absolutely brilliant writing. This is why the late Paddy Chayevsky was great! Movie writers today could not begin to write like that-0thats why we have trash .

  • why me...........cause youre all watching a movie,DUMMIES

  • He says All Anxiety tranqilized.....Prozack? etc. All Bordem amused....Free porn etc. I LOVE THIS MOVIE THEY PUT IT IN OUR FACE. also Special thanks to JFK and Isenhower.

  • Two more things: First, agreement with guyfroml, below, about Chayevsky.

Second (also re the post below), talk about getting the wrong message from this scene!

  • Two things: First, this just goes to prove what a great, great writer Paddy Chayefsky was.

Second, and this is not political rant but obvious fact (if you paid attention to what this scene explained) - what Obama and his fellow progressive socialist-communists are attempting to by destroying the dollar (by raising the debt ceiling to collapse our economy) is the very same thing Beaty's character is explaining to Beal is the very same evil that will bring everything down. Learn from this!

  • @guyfroml You really got it all mixed up...

  • @guyfroml It is funny how people label the current administration. Whoever the president is he or she is only a figure head. You must learn that the two party paradigm is used to distract the masses so that the global elite can destroy the dollar. You must realize that all governments are puppets of the elite

  • @czar1027 how does destroying the dollar benefit the 'elite'? They benefit from the dollar too.

  • @XpressForumsClick It allows them to dictate the new currency. Controlling the money and you control the country. I recommend you do a little research on your own and see what you find

  • @czar1027 but they ALREADY control the currency. Why would they need to 'dictate' a 'new' one?

I recommend you apply a little critical thinking to the information you put in front of yourself, instead of merely believing whatever half-baked theory you come across.

  • @XpressForumsClick Well here is the thing you are in the dark and I am prepared. We will see who is half baked and who is not. I recommend you learn to question things instead of believing everything they tell you.

  • @czar1027 Funny, since you are the one blindly believing the Russina media. I guess irony, as well as critical thinking is not your strong suit.

  • @XpressForumsClick Stupidity and ignorance are you strong suits. We will see who is right in the next few months. Have fun swimming in denial.

  • @czar1027 I see. What will we 'see" and what am I in denial of, exactly? Be specific, please.

  • @XpressForumsClick To be honest, it wouldn't surprise me if big corporations were aiming to create a global government/currency etc. and they have quite the power to do that. I mean, just look at the banks, they own the currency, not the government. Either way, I think we shouldn't blindly take media nor these theories about a New World Order... And the irony is that many people blindly follow these theories of "free thinking", and "awareness" when at the same time, they are blind by it.

  • @xlibris434 Brilliantly stated, sir. 4 internet points to you and your spawn.

  • @xlibris434 too many useful idiots... so little time :(

  • @xlibris434 the global currencies need to collapse before a one world currency is created... and there will be a one world Government too

  • @xlibris434 facts are facts it shouldn't suprise you because it's a fact. thank you for having eyes to see. our life here in the u.s. is a lie. money rules all, not democracy.

  • @xlibris434 If the banks really did control corporations, or had the power to start a global government/currency, I doubt they would be on their hands and knees begging for bailouts, or governments to enact certain policies that were favorable for them. For the time being, the power is in the governments, and if those governments are democracies, then the power is with the people. It is up to the people to stay informed, and to consciously vote with their dollars and ballots.

  • @FreeEconHelp with your theory I want u to just think of another theory. Who was government truly created for. I want you to think really back in history. Take a note of the fact that democracy is fairly new in the world.

Truly think who was government created for, was it created to help the people against unjust things or was it created by the wealthy to protect their wealth. Think about it, lets say you were rich but there were no laws or any type of power.what stops me from taking ur wealth?

  • @szebsone are you nuts? Democracy was created as a substitution for a monarchy. Why would the wealthy/elite want a democracy? No, a democracy was created to promote the free market. Entrepreneurs could make profits and market incentives could be enforced. Read your history on the industrial revolution and understand how and why democracy started and the effect it had on modern times.

  • @FreeEconHelp Democracy has been around since an uprising in Athens, Greece in 508BC. Back when governments were theocracy's, oligarchy's, nomadic rulings etc. Dumbass.

  • @MetalEagle95 Athens' democracy was, in fact, a meritocracy. The world has yet to see a democracy.

  • @FreeEconHelp Banks are corporations, in fact the largest in the world. Trust me I understand my history. There is always going to be to sides to every story. U.S. history has proven to have vast amounts of corruption throughout periodic times in government. They might not listen to men like you and me, but they will invite the nations richest men to have a meeting at the white house. We have illusions of democracy when running up against big corparations, we can't win. Everything is fixed.

  • @czar1027 Okay, two week have passed. Can you be more specific in what you expect to happen in the next month and a half? Specifics, please.

  • @czar1027 So, here we are more than a 'few months' later, and nothing...

  • @XpressForumsClick World currency, You fool.

  • @BLAGASPANTS Yes, I agree we should all barter sheep and goats from this point forward.

  • @BLAGASPANTS world currency int e next few weeks? That's a BOLD claim. See you in a few weeks to serve you egg!

  • @XpressForumsClick actually the Global currencies need to collapse before we get a one world currency

  • @ToxicDreamer oh, they are well on their way there. Especially if the Republicans get their way and dont pass the debt ceiling.

  • destroying the dollar to create the new one.. Rothschilds have most of the gold...and 55% of the WORLDS wealth...no 911 no elites or other details just the master mind bloodlines...of the ROTHSCHILDS...THE END.

  • @guyfroml So, by your logic Reagan and both Bush's were "progressive socialist-communists" too?

  • @XpressForumsClick Pretty much.

  • @guyfroml you are exactly right but i think the global currencies need to collapse before a one world currency is created and when america defaults that will be the beginning

  • @ToxicDreamer Wouldn't that imply that the Republican 'tea party' caucus are then trying to implement a one world government, since they are the ones preventing a passing of the debt ceiling?

  • Would be awesome if this played during the most viewed programming, in America - maybe during a Super Bowl intermission. Directly after this clip play =g9wCAQz73tA -- well a variant of .. not specifically focusing on O'Reilly or Fox - I'd find the most disgusting things spouted by all the MSM pimps, pushers and parrots.

  • SO TRUE! this is the most revealing thing ever!

  • @dreww42 this is coming true even more so today... the global economies are about to collapse and it is all planned for the New World Order
