@Poefacedraven Greenpeace are entirely STUPID organisation who do nothing but to obstruct progress by using criminal activity. The are activists not capaigners and should be treated as a minor terrorist threat. In this video the police should have immediately moved them on with force.
I find it quite disappointing that NPR still accepts financial support from Cargill. It's no coincidence that NPR seems to under-report Cargill's role in eco destruction.
I used to work for cargill and they are cut-throat. They cut corners where ever possible. Most there higher ups are former politicians. Mcdonalds should be called McGMO thanks to these fuckers. They are out to make a buck and will be the food supplier of organcs when NWO swings in.
Cargill helps the world? Come on. Cargill only wants to make money and that's all. A baker, when he sells bread, doesn't do it by humanitarism but to earn money. Furtermore, Cargill destroys the Amazonian fores, do not respect the bresilian laws and support the meat industry which is responsible for the forest destruction, diseases and for consuming more than 60% of cereal world production (while one billion people are starving...). ..
right but this is to make a point. its to educate and show people what these evil companies are doing. trust me those women who chained themselves are well awair of how fast Cargill could replace this.
So how much of the forest is being made into farmland? I don't see any evidence supporting that claim in this video. This video looks more political than anything. I'm not against the environmentalism I'm just against misinformation. There are groups in the U.S. right now trying to stop logging however we have just as much forest as we had 100 years ago... Watch the Penn and Teller "Bullshit" on environmentalism and keep and open mind I know they are sarcastic but they do make some good points.
@RedFromWinter The trouble is that companies like Weyerhauser plant trees but they cut down forests. Trees replanted are mostly in rows. That is a tree farm, not an ecosystem. In the US, I'm surprised that there aren't more commercial salmon fishermen protesting the bad logging practices, since it destroys the salmon habitats in rivers.
@HunterMann I would also like to add, that the old growth forest we had a 100 years ago, are mostly wiped out. So I don't think it is fair, to say, we have the same now, as 100 years ago.
i wish i could work for green peace but i'm to young, plus my perants say that if you want to join them grown your hair long like a hippe and join them, DAMN STRAIT I WILL, UP YOUR CARGILL!!!!
Well, I am working for Cargill Amsterdam and my colleagues and bosses are really nice and everyone grateful to work for this company. I have colleagues who are working there for more than 30 years.
I don't think any of you really know the extent to which cargill is controlling your food supply. I'm not saying they're the only one, there are a few HUGE companies. and something like this this isn't goint to stop them...
This is sheer hypocrisy. IF you don't like the destruction of the rain forest, then stop consuming, chicken, beef, high fructose corn syrup, soy milk, etc...All these people tied to Cargill's rod iron gates probably ate tofu at their posh vegetarian restaurants later that evening
many activists i know, greenpeace and otherwise tend their own gardens, can't afford much posh restaurants, but go without some other useless commodity so they can eat lower on the food chain and pay a little more for it. lots avoid HFCS, and meat, and there are movements out there...and they are big.
Think about this rationally... Your not demonstrating anything but your lack of ability to do just this. You are wasting food and wasting time. What did this achieve?
The funny thing is, Cargill just cleaned up the mess and went back to work.
On the other hand, Greenpeace really did nothing for themselves but waste a heap of soybeans and embarrass themselves.

You guys just wasted an entire truckload of soy. Fucking genius.

in 2006 Cragill signed a soy moratorium not to buy soy beans from producers on the Amazon biome.
since then they are partners with Greenpeace Conservation International, the Nature conservancy and the WWF ( the wildlife fund)
you guys really think that you can help the world better than they do?
working hard everyday to end world hunger and you sitting all day in front of a computer watching videos on Youtube?
Please.

Who cares? It makes the news for a day or two then the story disappears. The world keeps on eating. These people are a minor inconvenience.

All in all, it's GREENPEACE doing the active work; we are just watching videos online....
Call them hypocrites etc., but they are the proactive environmental leaders and for that alone they deserve credit.
