Good pots and pans do not come with Teflon. The shit creates toxic vapors when it reaches 450 degrees. Google it. Stainless steel is the only way to go. just heat the pan up before you add oil and it will not stick.

I have found that the BEST copper cleaner to use on Revere Ware is BRASSO. I stay away from the powder cleaners such as Cameo and Copper Glo. Brasso is a liquid (containing jeweler's rouge or similar micro abrasive), and it restores an absolute mirror finish wheras the powders seem to leave a matte finish.

@ceseng1 brasso shines the surface well but smells and i don't think its good for cooking surfaces (toxic chemicals). Bar Keepers Friend is non toxic.

well will it only remove dirt or will it also remove a thin coat of copper?

@lillen300 just the tarnish, i think. its a mild abrasive but it wont leave scratches, i don't think it removes any metal. u should be able to find it at walmart for around $3.

Wow. Beautiful! It also gets the rust out of anything. I thought I would have to throw away my china because it had ugly rust stains on it but bar keepers friend got it out. You can't even tell it ever had rust...it's completely gone!!!
