Oh, here is some interesting info that I'd like to share: Fedor had a fresh cut on his nose that he received while sparring with his brother - Alexander Emelianenko.
The cut was reopened by Brett's jab. It was not a serious injury.
Fedor's nose has never ben broken throughout his whole career.
Guys, Brett Rogers got exausted in the first round. He also got trapped in an armbar TWICE, he got taken down at least two times... He showed so many weaknesses in his game.
Brett's got all the potential in the world but at this stage the guy is just a newbie.
Fedor fighting in the UFC - this was not likely to ever happen.
Now, when Mousassi has left M1 Global, things may change dramatically and hopefully, we may see Fedor fight in the UFC indeed.
I agree what some of Dana's rules are absolutely shit. But he did let BJ Penn Fight Machida outside of UFC. I'm pretty sure he would of given in and let him do sambo and do seminars.
Anyways the best talent is in the UFC hands down, he's facing ok competition in strikeforce but the UFC is just on another level.
u know what guys, talk about cans....remember Buster Douglas was considered a can when he beat Mike Tyson back when !...so yeah, everyone has a chance !.....even cans !
And when he did fight the better ones like Noguiera, Crocop, Mark Hunt, Choi, Schilt, Ogawa, Randlemen, Coleman, etc., it only brought out the even better fighter in him, and these guys were easily in their prime.
I suppose we can argue until were blue in the face but as the old saying goes, (and is still relevant to this day) actions speak louder than words. And Fedor has added an extra ten miles or so of proof to this already well-known fact.
The Fedor critics should drop the 'my dad can beat up your dad' bullshit. Look at his record. He crushes everyone he meets like a steamroller. No matter how much you squeak like a mouse against him, he is the best. You can only hope that someone can kick his ass soon. And until they do, you haters got nothing on him. Stop the squeaking and wait patiently.
I know. I don't see how people can say that Fedor is the best fighter today. He fought one time in 2008 against Tim Sylvia who the UFC won't even sign anymore because he's terrible, and beat Arlovski and Rogers this year...3 fights, 2 years and none of his opponents were ranked #2 or #3, or even 4 as far as I know. I agree with what Dana White said in the video you uploaded, I favor the fighters who fight the best 3 times a year, not 3 times in 2 years against crappy opponents.
And another thing about Sylvia, as soon as Frank Mir actually STARTED training his boxing (for his fight with Nogueira at UFC 92), he looked back at his fight against Tim Sylvia and realized how horrible Tim Sylvia's stand up is.
I really don't even care to watch Fedors next few fights. He doesn't fight the people his fans want to see him fight. Look at Anderson Silva who dominates in MW so he moves up to LHW and starts kicking people's asses up there. If Shogun beats Lyoto for the belt, they could have a Super fight, Shogun vs Anderson. That would be amazing. GSP has destroyed everybody so they might have GSP vs BJ Penn 3 because so many people wanna see it. Then you have Fedor fighting Werdum instead of Lesnar or Mir..
Frank Mir's standup is actually getting pretty good. If you think about it Frank Mir vs Fedor would be an awesome matchup. They both are kick ass at submissions and Frank's standup is looking pretty good. I don't know if Fedor would be able to beat him.
anderson? that midget killer? shit imagine fedor fight guys shorter than him. fedor will throw them out of the cage. big boys cant even fuck wiht fedor
What does their height have to do with anything if they're the same weight? By the way, Anderson moves up in weight and fights LHW too and has 2 first round KOs in that division in addition to about 9 consecutive wins in Middleweight.
I actually don't think Fedor would be very good at LHW because the fighters at 205 are a lot more well rounded than the heavyweight fighters he's been fighting lately.
and several of their champions don't even make it to 3 fights per year. any one fighter that made his way to the top had their share of cans as well, but after 33 professional fights, any one of those cans had their opportunity to defeat Fedor but didn't.
@ChuckNorrisBuysMeth LOL, Your right, I don't know how anyone can say Fedor's the best with his record 31-1 (no contest). He hasn't even beat any good opponents.. .
Nogueira (2 times), Kevin Randleman, Mirko Filipović, Heath Herring (ALL IN THEIR PRIME)
Mark Coleman, Gary Goodridge, Mark Hunt, Kazuyuki Fujita, Matt Lindland (lower weight class) .... ALL, NO slouches in the ring
Tim Sylvia, Andrei Arlovski, Brett Rogers (RECENT AND STILL top fighters in the world)
Alot fo Fedor's competition is against mid-level to crappy fighters. No way hes' the best. If Brett Rogers could ground and pound him like that, imagine what Brock Lesnar would do. he wouldn't be stupid enough to stand with him and Brock would wear him out.
I completely agree with you. Fedor fights people directly from the streets and brocky lesnar has a record of like 100 wins and 1 lose. Only loose was to bill goldberg. But yea brock lesnar has K.O power we saw it on all his fights he K.Os people. He is a legend. Brock will K.O fedor and kurt angle at the same time.
I agree with you 1000%. Brett Roger's only strategy is punches...No kicks, elbows, no knees, no takedowns, no submissions. Just punching and on top of that no one wanted to see Fedor vs Brett Rogers. I don't see why everybody loves Fedor so much. He doesn't give you the fights you want to see. People wanted to see Fedor vs Lesnar, so what does he do? He runs off to Strikeforce and pisses everyone off.
@zaggers77 Fedor would knock Lesnar out. Rogers is as big as Brock with better striking skills and Fedor knocked him out. If the fight remains standing, Fedor KOs Brock. If it goes to the ground, Fedor will submit him no "ifs", "ands" or "buts". All Lesnar has is size and good wrestling skills. Fedor can outstrike him and outsubmit him.
Frank Mir has better submissions then Fedor. And Brock defended his subs. Broock has better wrestling, Fedors stand up is better for one punch, his technique is mediocre. He constantly throws wild punches. Brock is constantly learning and evolving, Fedor doesn't at all.
@zaggers77 "Frank Mir has better submissions than Fedor." Not only did you write "then" when you should have written "than", but this statement of yours is too retarded to be addressed. The only thing I agree with you is that Fedor is not a very technical striker. But it doesen't matter, because Brock isn't either, but Fedor has knocked out several people whilst Brock hasn't knocked out anyone, so the edge goes to Fedor. Fedor can knock out Brock just like he did to Rogers. Same size.
I like when youtubers criticize about grammar. Who cares it's youtube as long as you know what the other person is talking about.
And frank does has better Subs. Brock is one of the top HW wrestlers. Far beyond Rogers or anybody Fedor has faced. And Brocks's technique is improving, his striking also. Fedor as seen in his last fight goes for the one punch KO.
Also Fedor's stamina will be tested with a huge wrestler laying on top of him. Who know's how to keep an opponent down.
@zaggers77 So Frank Mir is better at submissions than a three time World sambo champion who Nogueira, a fourfth degree Brazilian jiu-jitsu black belt, couldn't submit? For fuck sakes, man, don't tell me that you're this stupid. Please don't tell me that you are being serious. And Brock can outwrestle Rogers. So what? Rogers would knock Brock out like he has already done several times. I mean, you are aware that Rogers has knocked out Brock when they trained together in Minneapolis, right?
Frank Mir is better at submissions. he also has better technique. Listen Fedor is good at alot of things, but great at nothing. He's doesn't have better subs then MIr or NOG. His boxing technique is horrible, watch the rogers fight, he's often wild. And it's alot easier to escape subs attempts when you're sweaty and you know that's the only thing your opponent is going to do no matter who they are.
HIs style works for him, but is he the best at MMA ever. HELL NO.
@zaggers77 I have deemed you too stupid to have an argument with. Saying that Mir is better at submissions than Fedor is not an argument; it is retarded. So I am ending the discussion here because I won't be arguing with a guy who insists that 2 + 2 = 5. And Fedor's standup does leave a lot to be desired from a technical point of view but it is still miles ahead of Lesnar's, so it doesen't matter. You are obviously a trailer trash who followed the WWE and believe that Lesnar is a superman.
I like how you're reduced to insults. I will give you credit because unlike other Fedor cool-adi drinkin' fanboys, you at least admit he isn't very technical striking wise.
MIR is a BJJ black belt. His subs are more crisp also. But we'll agree to disagree.
@zaggers77 I'd rather be a Fedor cool aid drriker than a trailer trash who watched the WWE and thinks Brock Lesnar is a superman. Fedor does not have a very technical standup but it is light-years superior to Lesnar's. And Fedor has actually knocked out several people, something that Lesnar NEVER has. And you talk about Mir having a black belt in jiu-jitsu as if it were a big deal. Nogueira has a fourth degree black belt in jiu-jitsu and Fedor crushed him twice. Mir would get decimated
But mir beat big NOG. KO'd him. Fedor had a dominating performance, I agree but once your opponent is reduced to one strategy, NOg was reduced to submissions, defending against it is so much easier, especially when subbing guys is harder the further the fight goes on because their sweaty.
@zaggers77 Yeah, he beat a past-prime Nogueira, and like you said, he did it by knock out and not by submission. So how does this prove that Frank Mir is better on the ground than Nogueira? How does this prove that he would submit Fedor?
randelman is a world class wrestler, thats all brock is, and that is the only way he will beat fedor, fedors too smart for that, a big guy like brock will tire a lot faster than fedor. he hasnt been in, fedor will wait for his opponent to make a mistake and he will take him out, he found the range and caught him.
I won't argue for days on end like I did with the last guy. But I will say Fedor Tired out alot faster against a bigger guy like Rogers. And just cuz he trains sambo doesn't mean he continues to evolve. For instance he uses almost no kicks.
Brock has yet to tire out in a fight. He has amazing cardio and once he gets fedor down will sap all his energy. Any ways there's no point in continuing this argument. It'll end with no one winning.
what makes u think he was ''tired''? hahah he uses no kicks, watch the crocop fight, i know brock is very fit but hes a big guy, big guys tire a lot faster than a smaller fighter, im sure u yanks have only just heard of fedor? did u use to watch pride?
Brocks not gonna be tired cuz he's gonna be on top of Fedor using his superior wrestling. If Fedor is gonna win that fight it's gonna be standing up.
On the ground Lesnar's wrestling is just too good, and lesnar has already faced a BJJ black belt in mir, lost, learned from it and beat the crap out of MIr.
Fedor has better hands, submissions, although not as crisp as MIr's, but Lesnar should be able to easily avoid fedors subs and if fedor doesn't get the KO early, lesnar will smother him.
superior wrestling, hahah hes just big and strong, hes got no technique, fedor will keep his hands by his side waiting to thrown a big bomb or sprawl, brocks shoulders and nack are way too big, hes got no head movement what so ever.
no technique haha dude you are ignorant, that no tecnique is a national college wrestler and a beast on the ground, but i do want and think fedor will win if they ever fought, but that does not rule out that this freak would be his most competitive fight ever.
i personally think that brock wont even have a chance to take fedor down, fedors ground game is better than mirs just look at his credentials, plus he is far more explosive than mir, and mir might have better technique striking but more power i doubt it, but never the less im not a blind fedor fan, brock does posses the tools to beat him.
I agree Fedor is more explosive and that is why he was able to escape alot of Nog's sub attempts. But he's giving up so much weight to Brock and alot of people don't realize how much weight and ability to control plays a factor. I think Fedor's only shot would be to knock out Brock standing up but brock has a strong chin and isn't going to stand with Fedor. Fedor also should put on more weight like Mir is doing if he ever were to fight brock. But I think the fight will never happen.
What you just said is the equivalent of me saying wait till brock takes down Carwin and KO's him. Nobody knows what's gonna happen. Carwin's MMA wrestling is pretty much untested, and so is Brock's stand-up, so we will see on fight night.
if u used to watch pride then u should know how good fedor is, and that a wwf wrestler on steroids shouldnt beat him. dos santos will knock out lesnar.
I know Fedor is good, and at one time definitely the best in the world. But not now, he's alot slower, older, wilder. He's not continuing to evolve, and he's not facing the best competition in the world constantly .
Lesnars college wrestling record is 106-5. Just because he was in WWE doesn't mean he's just big. He has skill and technique. ANd brock is constantly evolving, Fedor is content with not making his game better. He avoided UFC for a reason.
how do u know fedor is content on making his game better? , he hasnt avoided the ufc, dana offered him a contract with, if he loses a fight or performs badly he can reduce his purse, and if he becomes ufc champ he has to extend his contract, he wouldnt let him fight in sambo champs, he wouldnt lety him do his seminars, dana doesnt want him staring a trend, he refused that contract and dana offered same one last august. hes a fighter and wouldnt avoid anyone, he wants to test his skills.
HAH u really know fuck all, fedor is constantly training, hes got the best sambo fighters in the world training with him, and that sambo training is seriouslyhard. watch fedor on the pads, striking is far different than boxing, fedor can submit u from half a chance.
Fedor let Rogers punch him on the ground in order to finish him with ''Kimura'', just watch how he let the hands of Rogers free!!!If you disagree with me watch Coleman fights 1 and 2 , and 2 attempts with Hong Man Choi! The nose of Fedor was not broken but cut, Rogers open an old cut i f u watch the pre-fight video u can see the scar on Fedor's nose just watch it
Noticed the scar myself! Couldn't agree more with your assesment on the Kimura! Fedor allowed Rogers to overturn him in order to try and secure the Kimura, either way Fedor wasn't on his back for long!
Wow, was anyone else not able to take their eyes off that gigantor vessel sticking out of the neck of the guy on the right?! Makes you wonder what kind of geyser you'd get with a quick needle prick...
Thank you, Hope you keep tuning in, We might actually contact you for some work you do, its really amazing, send us your info where we can contact you directly, email or phone
The only big question on everyones mind is, who would win between Brock lesnar and fedor... I can not see how Lesnar can win this fight, if he stands toe to toe, he gets caught, and on the floor he has a tiny better chance , but would get caught as well, as good as lesnar is with his wrestling skills and his ability to move quickly , fedor is still quicker.. I would love to know what the fans think...Maybe that would be posted onto our next video and we would ask this question
Good vid. I'm picking Lesnar over Fedor if it happens, but I don't think it will. I don't see Fedor being able to take down Lesnar. NO fighter has ever done it yet. Lesnar is a far better wrestler than Rogers, so I do see Lesnar taking down Fedor like Rogers did. Once Lesnar gets on top, he will ground and pound. Now I know that Fedor is great on the ground, but Lesnar is a different beast. If Fedor won, I wouldn't be surprised however.
NO FIGHTER?? How many fights did Lesnar had? Man, all these people train every day, so in the long run, it's not the style, the strength, or the speed, it's the mind..that's Fedor's strongest weapon. Fedor won over 30 fights, many of them against world class fighters...even if all of them were average, they are still people who train like hell every day, even so, Fedor could have had a bad day, some of them a good day, and a lucky punch could finish everything..but it didn't.
You know why? Because Fedor is a complete fighter, not only is he the master of many styles, but his mind is so calm and he can turn almost every situation to his advantage..and he has 10 times more experience against best fighters than Brock Lesnar. With all respect to Lesnar for his fast movement compared to his physique, and to his wrestling style..he is no match for Fedor, his mentality is nowhere near that..and he doesn't look that smart, really.
Ive seen many people say that, if Rogers can get on top of Fedor and hurt him on the ground, Lesnar will do much worse because hes a better wrestler. Yea that comparison does make sense, but how about the fact that Rogers is a better striker on his feet than Lesnar? So if Fedor can beat Rogers on his feet imagine how easy it will be for him to punch out Lesnar.
It's true that Lesnar's weakness is his striking. I think if Lesnar doesn't go quickly for the takedown, Fedor would win the fight. Overall, I think Lesnar is better than Rogers. I also think Lesnar would immediately go for the takedown. In reality, there's no way to predict a winner. They need to fight.
If you look closely at what happend just before the knockout. You'll see that Rogers gave Fedor a knee mighty close to Fedors groin. Dont do that! - within seconds Fedor presses Rogers back by pressing his thums against Rogers eyes. And seconds later Fedor chose to end the fight.
not even that (at 1:10) hes smart he knows when to explode...via when he caught him with the big punch. some guys explode and go crazy just cause... he saw an opening ( rogers looked a lil weak phased whatever have u. and fedor capitalized.. hes just that good. At least thats just my opinion

zaggers77 2 years ago
what makes u think he was ''tired''? hahah he uses no kicks, watch the crocop fight, i know brock is very fit but hes a big guy, big guys tire a lot faster than a smaller fighter, im sure u yanks have only just heard of fedor? did u use to watch pride?
advent8888888888 2 years ago
Brocks not gonna be tired cuz he's gonna be on top of Fedor using his superior wrestling. If Fedor is gonna win that fight it's gonna be standing up.
On the ground Lesnar's wrestling is just too good, and lesnar has already faced a BJJ black belt in mir, lost, learned from it and beat the crap out of MIr.
Fedor has better hands, submissions, although not as crisp as MIr's, but Lesnar should be able to easily avoid fedors subs and if fedor doesn't get the KO early, lesnar will smother him.
zaggers77 2 years ago
superior wrestling, hahah hes just big and strong, hes got no technique, fedor will keep his hands by his side waiting to thrown a big bomb or sprawl, brocks shoulders and nack are way too big, hes got no head movement what so ever.
advent8888888888 2 years ago
no technique haha dude you are ignorant, that no tecnique is a national college wrestler and a beast on the ground, but i do want and think fedor will win if they ever fought, but that does not rule out that this freak would be his most competitive fight ever.
ROBOCOPER 1 year ago
i personally think that brock wont even have a chance to take fedor down, fedors ground game is better than mirs just look at his credentials, plus he is far more explosive than mir, and mir might have better technique striking but more power i doubt it, but never the less im not a blind fedor fan, brock does posses the tools to beat him.
ROBOCOPER 1 year ago
I agree Fedor is more explosive and that is why he was able to escape alot of Nog's sub attempts. But he's giving up so much weight to Brock and alot of people don't realize how much weight and ability to control plays a factor. I think Fedor's only shot would be to knock out Brock standing up but brock has a strong chin and isn't going to stand with Fedor. Fedor also should put on more weight like Mir is doing if he ever were to fight brock. But I think the fight will never happen.
zaggers77 1 year ago
@zaggers77 couture got good shots in at brock.. wait till carwin k.o's him.
GirlsLie7 1 year ago
What you just said is the equivalent of me saying wait till brock takes down Carwin and KO's him. Nobody knows what's gonna happen. Carwin's MMA wrestling is pretty much untested, and so is Brock's stand-up, so we will see on fight night.
zaggers77 1 year ago
Yeah I loved pride, i used to watch it all the time.
zaggers77 2 years ago
if u used to watch pride then u should know how good fedor is, and that a wwf wrestler on steroids shouldnt beat him. dos santos will knock out lesnar.
advent8888888888 2 years ago
I know Fedor is good, and at one time definitely the best in the world. But not now, he's alot slower, older, wilder. He's not continuing to evolve, and he's not facing the best competition in the world constantly .
Lesnars college wrestling record is 106-5. Just because he was in WWE doesn't mean he's just big. He has skill and technique. ANd brock is constantly evolving, Fedor is content with not making his game better. He avoided UFC for a reason.
zaggers77 2 years ago
how do u know fedor is content on making his game better? , he hasnt avoided the ufc, dana offered him a contract with, if he loses a fight or performs badly he can reduce his purse, and if he becomes ufc champ he has to extend his contract, he wouldnt let him fight in sambo champs, he wouldnt lety him do his seminars, dana doesnt want him staring a trend, he refused that contract and dana offered same one last august. hes a fighter and wouldnt avoid anyone, he wants to test his skills.

I agree what some of Dana's rules are absolutely shit. But he did let BJ Penn Fight Machida outside of UFC. I'm pretty sure he would of given in and let him do sambo and do seminars.
Anyways the best talent is in the UFC hands down, he's facing ok competition in strikeforce but the UFC is just on another level.
zaggers77 2 years ago
watch the crocop v fedor fight, he best crocop at his own game
advent8888888888 1 year ago
HAH u really know fuck all, fedor is constantly training, hes got the best sambo fighters in the world training with him, and that sambo training is seriouslyhard. watch fedor on the pads, striking is far different than boxing, fedor can submit u from half a chance.

Fedor let Rogers punch him on the ground in order to finish him with ''Kimura'', just watch how he let the hands of Rogers free!!!If you disagree with me watch Coleman fights 1 and 2 , and 2 attempts with Hong Man Choi! The nose of Fedor was not broken but cut, Rogers open an old cut i f u watch the pre-fight video u can see the scar on Fedor's nose just watch it
baimangalko 2 years ago 6
Noticed the scar myself! Couldn't agree more with your assesment on the Kimura! Fedor allowed Rogers to overturn him in order to try and secure the Kimura, either way Fedor wasn't on his back for long!

I would love to know what the fans think...Maybe that would be posted onto our next video and we would ask this question

if randy cotore did well with brock
randy was on the ground and manage to get back up under brock
fedor stands a better chance
my money is on fedor

Good video. You both seem very knowledgeable.
Costa - you should try to make sure the speaking time is shared evenly between you and Alonzo.
It looks like he wanted to speak more but you kept cutting him off.

If Fedor won, I wouldn't be surprised however.
neclg2004 2 years ago
NO FIGHTER?? How many fights did Lesnar had? Man, all these people train every day, so in the long run, it's not the style, the strength, or the speed, it's the mind..that's Fedor's strongest weapon. Fedor won over 30 fights, many of them against world class fighters...even if all of them were average, they are still people who train like hell every day, even so, Fedor could have had a bad day, some of them a good day, and a lucky punch could finish everything..but it didn't.
Thunderer7 2 years ago
You know why? Because Fedor is a complete fighter, not only is he the master of many styles, but his mind is so calm and he can turn almost every situation to his advantage..and he has 10 times more experience against best fighters than Brock Lesnar. With all respect to Lesnar for his fast movement compared to his physique, and to his wrestling style..he is no match for Fedor, his mentality is nowhere near that..and he doesn't look that smart, really.
Thunderer7 2 years ago 2
Ive seen many people say that, if Rogers can get on top of Fedor and hurt him on the ground, Lesnar will do much worse because hes a better wrestler. Yea that comparison does make sense, but how about the fact that Rogers is a better striker on his feet than Lesnar? So if Fedor can beat Rogers on his feet imagine how easy it will be for him to punch out Lesnar.
Sirwastealot 2 years ago
@sirwastealot

COOL VIDEO !!!

Agreed

If you look closely at what happend just before the knockout. You'll see that Rogers gave Fedor a knee mighty close to Fedors groin. Dont do that! - within seconds Fedor presses Rogers back by pressing his thums against Rogers eyes. And seconds later Fedor chose to end the fight.

great video. true fans love fedor

not even that (at 1:10) hes smart he knows when to explode...via when he caught him with the big punch. some guys explode and go crazy just cause... he saw an opening ( rogers looked a lil weak phased whatever have u. and fedor capitalized.. hes just that good. At least thats just my opinion
