    i really need to know

  • i have acer aspireone 532h-2789. can you tell me did it work with my netbook?

  • great project . the only problem is that they don´t sell this touch screens for 15 . 6 inch screens = C

  • I really want to meet you right now! you look so for me..

  • SHIT i used to have one of those but one of the dang keys came off if i knew you could have done this i would have just bought a touchscreen and forgot about that key all together but instead i spent 150 more from the money i got back and bought me a cq presario cq60

  • 5:21

I am having this same problem right now..I have been trying for about an hour and a half now to get the case to close all the way on the top half.. the connecter is too big and i cant for the life of me get if to fit in to that small area below the screen..

How did you do yours? I have tried placing it on the side, on the bottom, and diagonally against the screen.. nothing is working..

  • Shes hot! Can I fuck her?

  • great job, i just got an acer from a friend that didnt know the system recovery on boot, i fixed it for him even did the upgraded ram a new wireless card... after all the work and time i put into taking it apart and fixing it he says i can have it, what other major mods should i do? its the aoa110 model

  • I have a Aspire One ZG8 (AO531h)

It's a 10.1" LCD. If I get the correct size panel will it fit into my netbook? (Is the kit for ALL Aspire Ones?) I'm asking this because my netbook is the thin version, It's only about 3/4 of an inch thick.

  • hi tarzanna I am about to mod my comp with the touchscreen here are my specs:

    acer aspire one a150

500 gb hard drive 1.5 gb ram

5 operating systems internal bluetooth 9 cell battery hd decorder (1080p playback for games and hd) plus wifi and the touchscreen I ordered I am going to follow your tutorial thanks for your help :) I will make a vid showing the finished comp The fist time I modded this comp I broke the keyboard clips so for all people with a bouncing keyboard order a new palmrest :-)

  • can you still use the webcam after using it as a transmitter to the motherboard of the pc? because im plaining to mod my samsung n220 to a complete touch pc, so no keyboard anymore witch will be replaced by an virtual symulated keyboard, just like a huge nintendo ds ;) btw great video, a good looking girl with a sweet voice makes it also more comfortable to watch :)

  • this solder kit does not have to be a netbook correct?

Any Acer Aspire One should work?

  • wow first time i see a girl do this , amazing, go girl 10/10 love what your doing

  • i have to get a new screen because my brother threy an xbox controller at it because he had to get off. so i might as well put a touch screen in it as well

  • i have done the same as you on my aspire one and ai have a problem.

the toychscreen sticks on the screen as i touch it and this is getting bigger . i think in a week will be like an ugly sticked sticker with bubbles of air...

do you have the same problem?

  • That sucks! I haven't had anything like that happen with mine. Did you wash the screen before you placed the touch panel? If so, is it possible it wasn't completely dry? Has it been in a really humid area? My recommendation would be to remove the LCD bezel & remove, re-clean/dry the touch panel and LCD.

  • lots of "ah dammit" moments cut out of this video, as she says.

  • does this mean tat i wouldnt have a webcam?

  • omg... I love you ... I LOVE YOU ... is the first time in my life when I saw a girl doing something like this... roar .. :)) ..subscribed

  • Thanks this videos helps me a lot ;)

  • tarzanna75,Вы просто умница,так всё

    хорошо объяснили,-спасибо!

    tarzanna75, , so all

    have well explained,-thanks! :))

  • wow nice

can i take you to the cinema?

  • Will this thing going to void the manufacture warranty?

  • of course it will

  • hsahaahajkaajaja

  • I would be nervous as a chiuaua doing this when I have tooken apart other laptops but with the netbooks I would not

  • Hey my friend has the same laptop, she broke ths creene accidently. If I buy it from ebay, Do I have to buy a separate kit with rubber strips? or anything I should now?

  • wow again good job, I add more ram to my acer when I had it and I put circles on a paper with pen and then taped the screws in them according to the spots on the netbook. I definitely understand how frustrating it can get and I didnt even take off the screen so I bet its ever more so. I think connecting the keyboard ribbon was one of the most annoying parts. took me about 2 hrs the first time

  • Can this be done without having to crash hard-drive and reinstalling all software on the hard drive?

  • Since I keep this computer on a RAM mount in my FJ these days it's suffered quite a bit from offroading. The Hitachi 7200 RPM 250 gb drive finally failed. It's been replaced by an OCZ Vertex 120gb drive. Didn't read up on SSDs till recently. They have a lot of little quirks!

  • how much will it cost me to touch your heart?

  • $17.31 :-)

  • i may not have that amount right now,,,but i was just thinking if i could give you a PENNY for your thought,a NICKEL for your kiss,a DIME if you tell me that you LOVE me....

  • hey i have the same laptop and my bro broke the screen on it . so as i was looking for replacement on ebay i found the touch and ordered it an d also ordered the ram , 2 gb is the maximum tht worx on this model but only 1x2gb witch means one ram module wth tht amount of memory its PC2-5300 or pc 400/533/667(speeds) witch ever one will work. still waiting for parts and when i get thm i will install Windows 7 RC AKA the new windows and yes its free till august 20 2009 . wiil post coment soon

  • That sucks about breaking your screen - but it makes a great opportunity for an upgrade. I did the RAM upgrade as well...definitely improved performance (especially with online video streaming like Hulu, Netflix, etc)

  • i have never seen a chik explain something wth technology . your cool and u seem to know wt ur doing . congrats!!!!

  • Haha, normally I would never allow women to mess with my laptop, but I wouldn't mind if you did, you seem to know how to handle it.

Great job, this will come in handy because I'm going to do the same thing.

    Thanks!

  • Nice install. I don't think I had to take the MB out... I put the usb hub in that little area which was reserved for later upgrades.

The wires are a hassle. Should have extended them before my install. The placement is so important because opening/shutting of the screen has the potential to destroy the cables.

I wound up dropping the whole thing one day and breaking both the touchpanel and LCD. Fixed that and never installed another touchscreen.

You're a good looking nerd btw.

  • Yeah...cable management was definitely the worst part of all this. It took forever to get my lcd bezel snapped down without a visible seam.

That sucks about dropping it it! I've gotten so used to the touch functionality that I'm not even sure I could go back now.

Thanks for the compliment, btw. Even nerdy girls like hearing that kind of thing. :-)

  • Thanks for these Videos we really appreciate your job. I have a question: "Is there a way to install the controllerboard of the TouchScreen panel in another place instead of the Mini PCI slot ? I wouldn't lose that."

    Thanks for your attention

  • Honestly...I can't think of where else it could possibly go. Everything is packed in there pretty tightly once you have the system & daughter board back in place.

  • Thanx! Great video, you gave me all the information I needed.

Everything worked out fine on my AcerOne.

    Wiet Here, Netherlands.

  • hey! nice vid.

a suggestion for next time you take the AAO apart, have about 5 or 6 glasses or cups at hand, with sticky notes on them and put your screws in there!

  • great video!

TIP: when removing screws from any device the 1st few times:

#1) take a photo of the device

#2) print the photo as large as you can

#3) remove each screw, and tape it to the printout where you removed it from

then you shouldn't go wrong if you do it like that.

    next upgrade : SSD ? :P
