I've always hated the way this album sounded. If the drums weren't tuned to sound like wet paper bags, that large room sound would fit better, in my opinion. I love the concept of a garagey, roomy sound (Sonics, etc) but this has always just sounded like shit to me.

I like a lot of the Pixies stuff, but I couldn't honestly say I "like" this song. Why do people worship this record so much? I think it's all about the screams like 1:14 ... the song isn't that great but moments like that are what interested people, I think.

@grands1am This is not my favorite Pixies song, but it epitomizes everything they were. The start with the drums, Kim's heavy bass, that crazy guitar, Black Francis's crazy lyrics and his screams. If I had to choose one song to sum them up, this would be it. I hope that helps you out some. :)
