If anything this video proves to me that Steve Balmer is a high energy fun person, and Steve Jobs is a pretentious, snotty person. Kind of the opposite of the "I'm a Mac, I'm a PC" ads.
Obvious biased portrayal is obvious. I see a businessman who stands there with his hands patiently and honestly linked together and talks about making things 'the cheapest he can' while turning his back and marking up his products to twice the price of competitors offering identical performance specs, on the basis of a baseless and so obviously false accusation that his competitor's products are junk.
When you trust the liar with the kindest face, it just makes you an even bigger moron.
this one is very easy. Steve Jobs was the absolute genius of our time. I used to be a pc, but when i first "met" mac i never looked back...ever. Apple products are the best there was, the best there is, and the best there would ever be...PERIOD.
...and imagine that i live in Cyprus (Europe), a small island in the eastern mediteranean sea, of less than a million of population, and here we do know what the best products are. Imagine the rest of the world
first of all, in my opinion if it goes to user friendly OS, then macosx > any windows
BUT!
"our goal is to make the best personal computers in the world and to make products we are proud to sell and would recommend to our family and friends." -> ok sounds fine
"and we wanna do that at the LOWEST PRICES WE CAN..." wait...WHAT?? did i just miss something??? -> lets see if i can stop laughing tomorrow.
Who would I trust? Neither one. I strongly dislike both Microsoft and Apple. I'm one of those crazy Linux guys who believes in freedom, choice and opensource software.
But I gotta hand it to Ballmer for being entertaining if nothing else.
I didn't like how Steve Jobs kept his computers and products from apple expensive after they overtook microsoft in the market for that short period of time. Steve Jobs was a control freak. Sadly though, for Microsoft, when Bill Gates handed off CEO privileges to Steve Ballmer, though he doesn't look too great on stage. A bit to childish don't ya think?
Ballmer is a TYPICAL corporate type: bully, conventional, rote-thinker, crass, and thinks he knows everything.
Jobs was the most anti-CEO ever who happened to be the greatest CEO of all times. Even better than Welch. Jobs didn't care for golf, wearing suits/ties, or engage in corporate speak.
LOL...I've never seen Ballmer "in action" lol This video made me laugh. It's only the 2nd video I've watched with him "starring" in it, but wow...for a moment, I thought I was watching some MLM Herbalife convention or something! :)
On a different note, while Apple notes they're trying to put out devices at the lowest possible price (500k employees in China), just how much would they project their product to sell for if they were manufactured here in the states?
Well obviously both Steves are trying to sell their performance, and sell the product and products ideas. But Steve Jobs is selling himself to the audience as a business man while Ballmer kind of acts like an excited kid to get the crowed riled up. And from what we see, both approaches work, but Ballmer depends on hype while Jobs depends more on the products he's presenting.
@Rifalltoo agree with you, but steve jobs had already health problems and he couldn't do what steve ballmer did and he didn't "need" to be excited, he had always some jokes behind that maked the audience laugh all the time.
That guy just inspired me to buy an imac and go with apple... i was on the edge, watching that guy do that on stage WOW. Jobs is so elegent and spot on giving every user EVERY user what they want, where as this other guy is fixed on people who would use a product just for email etc.
@illusionsOfgrandeur1 well you have to understand people like that. And i actually laughed at his comment as well :) But it is a bit sad when people treat different companies like a religion. But i guess seeing Apple making better products than Microsoft makes them insecure. I'd reply to his comment but i don't think there is a point he's just gonna get defensive.
i like microsoft, but they have to get rid of Steve Ballmer, he is embarrassing. Jobs is smug and arrogant, and is a cheap salesman. But Microsoft have to get rid of Balmer, he is an idiot.
