  • Look at him. He calls himself a US senator. He is not even ashamed to tell lies in public. That's why the world hate the United States. This country and their lawmakers are so corrupt, including Sen Jim Inhofe. What about democracy senator? What about freedom of choice? What about all those who lost their lives under Gbagbo? Don't you have anything else to do? Will you also disclose how much you received from Gbagbo? Ouattara won the election and will lead the country with our supports. SHAME

  • I am not surprised by the partisan analysis of this ivorian crisis by this american senator. I understand that Mr Inhofe does not want to mention all the victims of Gbagbo militians BEFORE the military offensive of Ouattara's army. As he wants to portray his FRIEND as a SAINT. As this senator said "I hope Mr Gbagbo and his wife Simone..GOOD FRIENDS..I hope they're not dead today...". Lots of people wouldn't mind LYING or covering the TRUTH for their "GOOD FRIENDS".

  • Thank you senator for this effort to shed more light to the Ivorian crisis, I now hope many brainwashed and naive young Africans who believe Gbagbo was a dictator will have a different view if they have the opportunity to watch this video

  • France leave african alone!!!

  • It's so funny how some people assimilate Sen jim inhofe with laurent gbagbo just because he is a christian, well thank you senator your doing an outstanding job !

  • This Evangelican thug. He is supporting a corrupt African Islamaphobe. The world knows what this guy is about. Go back to your Bible belt backyard and let African blacks chose their own leaders.

  • Senator Inhofe, you might be that Angel sent by God to liberate the people of Ivory Coast. Thanks you Sir.

  • Thank you Senator...we live in the US but are very involved with those in the Ivory Coast and are so happy to see someone speaking the truth...

  • Despite the crook position of the US state department , I'M so delighted to know that someone somewhere within the highest rank of the american government, someone has decided to break the silence. A voice for these 800 brutally killed and calcinated in duekoue for the sake of democracy. These massacre are surfacing, a lot within the corrupted US and french government will be splashed by this..thanks senator we ivoirian the real one salute your actions

  • Continued...The finger at the Western forces endorsing Ouattara for manipulating the results amongst other atrocities.

Also why hasn't anyone highlighted the fact that Outtara has pre-contracted agreements authorising France & the US to exploit the as yet untapped oil reserves in Ivory Coast...

The fact remains that there is no presidential candidate who will benefit the Ivorian people, how sad.

  • Continued... A non-national to be sworn in as President? Especially one who green flagged the mass killing of civilians. This campaign of "Ouatarra at all cost" goes against what the UN stands for. Who is acting like a "Tyrant" now? The Tyrant template is over used and simply doesn't apply here because the situation us not as clear cut as reported. There are many forces at play including infighting within the UN as it's representatives who were present at the election have started pointing the

  • I find it fascinating how some can speak with such conviction about events that have yet to be proved. Fact Ouatarra, the French and UN killed over 2300 civilians on Monday night, this conveniently hasn't been reported, can someone please highlight which part of the UN mandate allows such action? I also find it hilarious that many would approve the endorsement of any odd pro-western opposition without first checking if he was a viable candidate to begin with. What Nation do you know of allows

  • Senator "blowhard" Inhofe once again resorts to prevarication. First of all, those "1000" votes were proven to be rigged by Gbagbo's officials in the "primaries," hence a no repeat in the general election. Second, the U.N. actually "certified" the general election; Gbagbo lost, period. But for many months he has refused to allow IC's democracy to proceed. He has resorted to mass killing of women protesters and anyone who refuses to acknowledge his position. Hence the rebels fighting to oust him.

  • By why is he supporting this tyrant now? It's because Gbagbo, an evangelical Christian, has ties to the Christian Reich in the US, in part through a secretive international network of powerful evangelical Christians known as the Fellowship. Inhofe and many of his colleagues have reportedly lived in the Fellowship’s congressional boarding house on C Street in Washington.

They are Christian jihadists. No wonder all these radical fundies like Glenn Beck are sanctioning their status.

  • Sir Senator, Thank you very much. What you are doing is not supporting any one but giving the other side of the story that is not told in the western world.

We the people of Ivory have our differences and true Ivorian should distance them self for what is happening.

I do not like the system of governance in African countries. We have a very fragmented population. The best solution for many African countreis is for it to be ruled by two prime minister and a figurative head of state.

  • I'm glad someone finally care about justice and people lives. Thank you for speaking out and telling the truth. Thank you for your courage. Save the people lives please and don't let that tyrant bully take over presidency. He has no right. He was never elected. No matter what the french people are trying to set up, the truth has shone through.

  • I'm not sure if you're going to see this but I want to thank you so much for the light you bring to the world. I'm Ivorian and proud to be. Blessed are those who care for the weak. You're a blessing to TRUE Ivorians.

  • Senator Inhofe is doing an outstanding job bringing this atrocity to light! God bless the people of Cote D'Ivoire that are dying for their freedom. Shame on Sarkozy, Ban Ki-Moon and Barack Obama!!!!!!

  • @funkmastercurt ditto. Couldn't agree more.
