  • Truly a CLASSIC hit for all those who have been through in a divorce!!!!

  • This song is so happy sounding. Even though the sentiment is a bit sad.. :)

  • This song had me rolling on the floor laughing today when I heard it for the first time on my iPod. A new karaoke selection of mine for sure...

  • @glenwillett What did you find so funny about the song? Just curious.

  • @silvermane1516 I enjoyed the way he seamlessly worked in the fact that they could still be friends and assured her that the alimony check would show up on time. Gotta love a guy covering all of his bases in a break-up tune that the whole crowd can sing along with the chorus to.

    Teddy was the best.

  • Yep...when you get through telling em' It don't hurt now..do like Teddy Pendergrass again , but this time you cap it off with this one: "I don't love you anymore!" Case we can't work it out anymore...in fact we can only be friends....LOL

  • I remember when this song was played on the radio all of the time back in the 70s.

I am not sure but I think this song was originally recorded when he was with Harold Melvin and the Blue Notes and then re-released when Teddy became a solo artist.

  • u got, u got, u got what he needed. throw some panties at him! miss the teddy bear. best e va!

  • Regardless of a man's past. The man was blessed with a great talent.

  • Waking up in the morning playing this song confirms that you are the baddest bitch <3

  • Used to party to this song at the legendary "Power Plant" in Chicago, IL. Frankie Knuckles pumpin' the deep house!

  • I remember dancing to this at 1270 in Boston....One hot as hell song!

  • Sing it Teddy!!!! He meant that!!!

  • Spending the day supposedly working. Started Teddy's music and now I can't pay attention to my job. Pretty funny watching a 68 year old woman at her desk jamming away. RIP Teddy<3

  • Teddy Pendergrass a LEGEND indeed.

    ♫ ♫Anthony Figgiani ♫ ♫

  • "I DONT LOVE YOU ANYMORE! It's just that simple..."

  • When this first came out you should have seen all the record stores selling this. The 45s, 33s, and the disco version sold out quickly. Thank God for cassettes tape in which I copied it from a friend.

  • Definitely the Guy's tell it like it is song, but funky as hale! People forget Teddy was a Drummer b4 going lead with The Bluenotes. I believe he played the drums on this one too. One of my faves.

  • Rest Peacefully

    TEDDY PENDERGRASS (1950-2010)

NO, NO, NO NOT LIKE BEFORE . . . . .we can't work it. LOL

  • Sing it Teddy P. !

  • That horn at the beginnin sounds like the beginning of Elvis's live Vegas performances. Teddy was the true King of R&B alongside Marvin Gaye.
