  • @liftboy92: yes and no: Wertheim was purchased by Schindler, this is when the name "Schindler-Wertheim" occurred. In Turkey, Wertheim-elevators were sold by Gantenbein and when Wertheim became part of Schindler, Gantenbein was "left alone" and later found cooperation with Otis. I'll send you something on that...

  • Yes, 150% sure. You filmed the sign on the back of the car. It is not unusual either, Wertheim made their elevators a little simpler for turkish export. The other elevator has the Wertheim buttons that I know sooo well.

  • @elevatronic Then i will set the manufacturer to Wertheim based on your knowledge.

  • @elevatronic Wasn't Schindler Named Wertheim-Schindler in the 1980's in Austria? I think i remembered a elevator from Innsbruck with this name.

  • Very interesting old elevator.

  • Very interesting! The elevator is made by Wertheim from Vienna in Austria. They had a representaive in Istanbul and sold a lot of elevators there. The name of that company (that sold Wertheim's elevators) was Gantenbein. They still exist. After Wertheim was taken over by Schindler, Gantenbein became a representative for Otis...

Nice to see evidence for what I've read before.

  • @elevatronic Are you sure. This elevator doesn't look like other european quality, because it's really bad.
