you are absolutely fantastic- i love your videos- i think you look like Madonna is trying to look like ;-) thank you so much for everything you share!
im a guy i kind of got thinning hair at the top but it's big an bushy everywhere else so I need to add volume to the top because it looks really really gay if it's flat and the rest bushy.
Thank you for showing this technique on teasing your hair to create volumne. It has really helped me as my hair is very fine and goes straight too. :-)
hi @lilithedarkmoon thanks for all your videos! they are very easy to follow and i understand how to do them, but they just dont work out in my hair!! anyways, what i was wondering was, i have very thin, silky hair. myself and my sister often tried to tease my hair but it makes no difference at all. my sister tried teasing it quite roughly and softly but my hair just falls back down to the way it normally is once you let go of the hair! i would really appreciate it if you would give me some tips
I tried using velcro rollers and it got stuck in my hair. It was a tangled mess and my mom had to spend an hour picking my hair out. Thank god she used to be a hair stylist and was able to get my hair untangled without cutting any of it.
@Kimmirisk I used to have highlights so they may still show through a little bit in this video even after I did an all over color that I do ever since :)
I recently started watching your videos. I've always spent more time and energy on makeup and many times just leave my hair straight. I really enjoy watching your videos and learning all of these new and creative ways for styling hair. I have more confidence with styling my hair now, thanks to your wonderful videos! :)
great tutorial!! Ive got really fine hair and ive found if i backcomb my roots a little before i put the roller in it helps to keep the volume in mine, unfortunately i live in england so the weather is not too great the majority of the time lol
I love your hair but how long they are going to stay with this volume? Because my problem always is that if I add volume or curls to my hair they don't last more than an hour or two (if I am lucky) thank you
@LoveGraphic It all depends on the climate in the area where you live - humidity is the biggest enemy of curls and unfortunately there's not much you can do about it (I never curl my hair on rainy days). But using an appropriate hairspray on the roots should indeed keep the volume for the entire day! :)
@lilithedarkmoon How quick! Thanks, unfortunately I live in England (I don't have to tell you that is rainy most of the time here :)) But I'll try this tecnique. Thanks
@lilithedarkmoon yeah, I live in Buenos Aires, lots of humidity here, and my hair is very, very heavy, so I once had curls done and even with hairspray they lasted like 2 hours...and it wasn't even a VERY wet day :(
@scizzerHand awww!! thank you so much for that highly flattering comment!! I trully touched and happy that you find my tutorials helpful!! :))) I will do my best to maintain the tutorial standards and keep you interested! many kisses
@SelonaParisa teased and hairsprayed hair stays like that pretty much all day long. and if you use only self-grip rollers and don't tease afterwards, everything depends on weather conditions, mainly humidity - the volume could hold all day long in dry weather or fall down within an hour if it's very humid outside.
Thanks for this video, Ive noticed you use a few different brands of hairspray, the garnier fructis and the nivea one, and maybe others that I have not noticed, but out of all which one would you recommend the most for fine hair thats pretty much the same as yours. Also which garnier fructis hairspray is that, is it the bamboo range. Have you heard of the Big Sexy hairspray (yeah thats the actual name)? Thanks.
@mailmaxine hiya, sorry for the late reply - I've just discovered your comment. My favourite hairspray is Schwarzkopf Got2B Happy Hour, but I cannot find it in the stores so I go for wither Nivea Diamond Gloss or this Fructis one. Yes, it's from the bamboo range and what it says on it in french could be translated as "VOLUME. Hold and Flexibility", but I know they name it different in different countries.
@mailmaxine I go for those super light hairsprays, because when I use one, I like to spray each section of hair that I'm working with and I don't want my hair to be stuck together. I also want to be able to brush it out.Got2B was perfect for me - invisible on my hair, but still with a great hold.I will still be trying other products though... Never heard of Big Sexy, I think it's not available in France, but I'll be still trying new products and will let you know if I'll find the perfect one :)
@MissLibrarian91 yes. but I either spray it with some hairspray (if I use thermal rollers) or wet my hand in water and then use that humid to damp each section of my hair (this technique works with both thermal and normal rollers). and finally I use the heat from hairdryer for ~15min! :)
@Arallist :)) I was born in Ukraine and then moved to Poland, lived in Italy and now ended up in France... hehe... What about you? were you born in US?
@Arallist Cool - California! :) Where do I consider home? haha... that's a very tricky question... it's like I either do not stay in one country enough to feel home or havn't been there for too long... Yeah, soon I'll be doing new videos on evening updos and different curling techniques :) Should do a hair-care one too!
