  • Great!!!

  • @TheLezwoymn Thank you!

  • Fuck Yeah! Brilliant! More Swedish please!

I played at Emmaboda popfestival a few years back and tried, very badly, to translate my song "A Little Bit Of Love".... "lite av kärlek"....I remember being told it would sound better "Eine Kline Karlek".....poor Sweeds musta been disgusted!

(Karlek... I remember it being pronounced like SHA-LAY-ACH ?)

There's an English version on here if you look up "Bobby McGees In Leeds"

This makes me demand that you do "Hej Joe!" (and then teach me the solo!)

  • mycket bra!

  • @foobar2027 Tackar!

  • Skönt lagom hes röst med rätt tyngd bakom, den klär denna visa väldigt bra :)

  • @cellosan Tackar!

  • Do you have tabs for the ukulele?

  • @Eshiebaby Sorry, I don't do tabs but the chords are: Gm, D7 Cm (theme 1) and Bb, F, Gm (theme 2), and then just throw in whatever notes that fits... Hope that helps. Good luck.

  • Nydelig

  • @tomstenhaug Tack!

  • Beath taking performance. Thank you for the translation, too

    Kind regards

    Alex

  • @TheUkuleleSafari Glad you liked it Alex!

  • Du är grodan på min badkar!

  • @chsgdss Thank you!

  • Played beautifully and sung with heart. Great work!

  • @themandolinmaniac Thanks man!

  • Thanks! Always great to get some good Bellman hits....first time with an ukulele...Im sure Bellman would get one if they would have existed in those days!

Spana gärna in Jan Skårstedts ep.81 på min sida, uppförd i Bellmahuset tidigare i år. Klart värt ett besök f.ö.

  • @Svartmerir Tackar!

  • Wow. I didn't realize your uke was bilingual. Another good one btw. Thanks Robin,

  • @pangus06 Thanks Pangus!

  • Magnifique ! Bravo !!!!!

  • @mctrmt Thank you Mary-Anne! Glad you think so.

  • @mctrmt Thank you Mary-Anne! Glad you think so.

  • Beautiful Baron! It's really nice to hear you singing in Swedish! The Swedish language is so lovely. The first time I've heard it I think was last weekend when I went to see "Män som hatar kvinnor" at the movies. Really lovely language, and your singing and the simple picking accompaniment sounds wonderful.

  • @fourteentwelve Thank you Michelle! Yeah, that's a pretty intense movie. Did you like it? The books are even better though.

  • @BaronK69 I loved it! One of the best movies I've seen in a long time. I'm about to start reading the second book now. I've skipped the first one after seeing the movie, but want to read the second and third ones before I watch the movies.

  • Beautiful, Robin! I like the sound of the Swedish language!

  • @mugambisuke Thanks Dirk! Well, I guess I gotta sing something i German now...

  • very pretty melody.

  • @theBradlands Thanks Brad!

  • Very, very good, your voice is unique.

    Wonderful

    Marcelo de Argentina

  • @mpolipi Gracias Marcelo!

  • Your voice sounds very natural singing this Swedish song. I like it a lot!

  • @bentnoteinstruments Thanks man! Yeah, I guess I can focus on other things when I don't have to think about pronounciation...

;°) He! He!

  • @Little6ster Biensur!

  • Outstanding. Love this sort of thing.

  • @KenMiddletonUkulele

Thank you Ken! I was hoping you would like it. It's a very nice song and the lyrics are really sad and yet beautiful.

  • well done baron

  • @ken6675 Thanks Ken!

  • *sighs* lol :-) Beautiful; I'm actually lost for words! :-) X

  • @ruth7784 Thanks Ruthie. A sigh is good enough for me.

  • Holy crap! Detta var riktigt tungt. :)

Men givetvis inte mindre bra för det. :)

  • @learninguke Tackar! Kul att du gillar den.

  • Beautiful. Still waiting for a Cornelis Vreeswijk cover ;-)

  • @bkemmerer3 Thank you! I sing Cornelis all the time, but he is on a record label that's been shutting down YT accounts lately...

  • great singing, and that uke rings like a bell... man!

  • @washedupsk8 Tackar!

  • That was lovely. I like hearing you sing Swedish.

  • @YoppyKyabetsu Thanks Yoppy!

  • Wonderful to hear this - thank you for the translation.

  • @UKISOCIETY Thank you Alan! Glad you like it.

  • Swedish is such a cool language, and this song is very beautiful. Great job, Robin!

  • @thesebinextdoor Thanks Sebi! Well, it's fun to sing in Swedish sometimes.

  • Vacker.

  • Vacker.

  • @VanGriffindoor tackar!

  • Great work Baron, you are a fount of inspiration. Any chance I could get some tabs? I am a huge fan of this sound. Thanks and great work.

  • @CMiller1334 Thanks man! It's pretty straight forward: Gm/D7 and Cm for the first theme and Bb F Gm D7 for the second. And then just adlib some extra notes here and there...

  • @GrumpyCoyoteTunes Thanks Grumpy! Well, if you wanna pick up a second language, Swedish might not be your first choice. It's one of the smallest languages on earth... But Russ has already managed to learn all sex related words in Swedish.

  • Very good, has a nice classic sound to it =]

  • @cathal627

Thank you! I was aiming for that.

  • I don't understand the language, but that was still beautiful. The translation makes it sound like a beautiful and sad poem.

  • @crazychaoticcool

Thanks! It is a beautiful and sad poem.

  • den här er stor!

  • @BornAgainJeeper

Thanks man! No one ever says that to me. ("that is a big one")

  • @BaronK69 hahah wonderful online translator! i guess "that is great!" didn't quite go the right way!

  • Great, Stefan! I love when when a soulful bluesman can get all Swedish on me. I don't speak Swedish, but I'll assume you did a great job with the sidebar translation, too. Thanks for that, it helps, although your emotional rendition needs no translation.

    10 stars**********

  • @ukecantdothat

Thanks man, I appreciate it! (but my name is Robin, not Stefan, although that's a very common name in Sweden...).

  • Sorry Robin! I knew that, I got the Stefan from your reply below and my pea brain got flipped! Great job again, Robin, love this one. I'd give you more stars if I could.

  • wonderful :)

  • @UnluckyMum Thanks mum, glad you like it.

  • very najs! so that's what your language sounds like. 5 sillhuvud.

  • @russbuss415 Tackar min lilla KW! 5 sillhuvuden är väldigt bra betyg!

  • That's totally different from your other songs. Sounds great!

  • @floydbluethereal that prolly didn't come out the way you meant it too! :-)

  • @floydbluethereal Thanks Ralf! Well, it's a totally different era than my usual songs...

  • It sounds so sombre and mournful, with the light, harp-like ukulele backing up the tune.

  • @waterdog226

It is a very mournful song. It's about a guy whos wife has drunk herself to death. And I tried to get that old time lute sound to it.

  • Very cool!

  • @hoosierhiver

Thanks Mike, glad you like it.

  • nice job

  • @okvolleyball Thank you Stephen.

  • wonderful and i like the lyrics. thanks for the translation

  • @revdrjim Thank you Jim.

  • Very nice! :-)

  • @ukemampfi1

    Thank you!

  • This is my favorite Swedish song! Beautiful singing Baron.

  • @deach69

Thank you Deach! Have you actually heard it before? Or is it the only Swedish song you have heard? Maybe you should do a version of it too. Warner has no control over 250 yo Bellman songs...

  • Snuskigt bra.

    Och snyggt översatt också.

  • @MagicAccent

Tackar!

  • I don't understand a word of it, but it

    sounds great Baron

    cheers,

    peter

  • @ukulelepe

Thanks Peter! That's why I translated it.

  • Magnificent!! Sounds wonderful

  • @kennymelodica

    Thank youz Kennyz!

  • Ja visste inte du va svensk xD

  • @PotatisenSimme

    Visst är jag det.

  • Super fint!

  • @tavedek

    Tackar!

  • Sounds foreign to me... but very exotic. And exotic is good. Very good.

  • @idrnoel

Thanks Dylan! Well I guess it is foreign to you - it's Swedish. Glad you like it.
