She attacked a cop at the hospital and persuaded herself out of being arrested and she wrecked a car driving drunk without insurance or a driver's license and talked her way out of that. And these incidents were just the ones in the last few months.

The doctors won't prescribe xanax for momma so Beth gives them to her (sells them to her) to control momma. Then Beth accuses momma of stealing the ones she sold so she can extort more money out of momma. Momma's memory is REAL bad so she doesn't know how she's being abused.
