i like the bassline but the bass still sounds quite lame, especially the higher notes. I know the ds can do better I have found the perfect nasty bass

No, it's the original. I set the tempo to half speed, so each bar became the equivalent of 2 bars in length. Also, I used the sub (which seems to have disappeared with youtube's compression.) for the kick drum as well, and LFOs to make things seem like they're changing/evolving.

Sick beat son. Really diggin the crazy ass effects and synths you got goin on. I wish there was more you could do with the snare on the korg ds-10, cause I think a punchier snare would sound better in this track.

I like it. But try to get some more kick in there. Turn the volume of the other channels down. Or pitch the kick higher in the drum sequencer or drum editor. Or use "ducking" by lowering the volume of the synths when the kick hits.

I had to use the kick drum for the bass as well.

Maybe through more effort it would be possible to make it sound better though.
