Impressionists use bright colours, and use discipline to add beauty to paintings, the rest of the people just talk about impressionism, I'm learning to be an impressionist.
"A Girl with a Watering Can", Dance paintings, domestic scenes, portraits, the bathers, "Dance at Le Moulin de la Galette" depicting an en plein air scene, crowded with people at the popular dance garden on the Butle Montmertre, are full of sparkling colour & light, at times changing to thinly brushed colour to dissolve outlines; the color of shadows is not brown nor black, but the reflected color of the objects surrounding them or diffuse reflection..Renoir & Monet, as you know, were friends!
Art like this is proof that mankind can do magnificent and beautiful things when we want to. And to think, I used to believe these were just boring pictures of trees and lakes and boring people. How blind I was!
When I was in college I did my art history paper on Pierre August Renoir, and went to see " In the Meadow",my favorite painting of his when it was on display at the Museum of Art in N.Y.C. I also like this pairing of his work to this song. Someone special to me sang it to me.
@rododoro15 ciao ho visto che sei l'unico italiano qua in mezzo xD cmnq ti volevo chiedere una cosa...sai di che datazione è "La tempesta di vento" di Renoir?? rispondi presto è urgentee >.<
The raw beauty of his subject at 3:10 is astonishing...Who elae can capture the innocence of a young but mature female with such beauty?
