  • Everywhere I read that Kanye is just a metrosexual narcissist, he probably is, but he has good songs. Today I start looking for his good songs. Maybe I start listen to him.

  • @readytohelll he doesnt just have good songs... he has GOOD albums

  • "What do it mean when you dream that you fallin'

What do it mean when you dream that you ballin'

What do it mean when you never dream at all then

And you don't really know cause you can't recall them

It's sorta fly you get a chance to say hi to

People you never got a chance to say bye to"

it seems so simple, but its so full of meaning and emotion.

  • who is that from the beginning to like 0:23? It doesn't really sound like mos def, almost like chiddy bang

  • @etnie1031 Jay Z

  • @MrSwaggless14

I used to think it was him at the time too.

  • @etnie1031 al be back

  • SuperCat - Nuff Man a Dead (were the jamaican lyrics are coming from)

  • this was uploaded on me b-day and i missed "it dam it" haha

  • Yeah, I got his album at the same time, September of '07

  • Booooooooooo. i bought his album when it realed in '07 now i'm just finding out there was a bonus track which is one of the best tracks from the album. BIG UP MOS DEF AKA YASIIN BEY 7 OF COURSE YEEZE!

  • this beat...dayum, just smooth.

  • this reminds me a little of emerald island zone on 2 player mode from sonic 2

  • Like this if you refreshed the screen.

  • i wish this song would never stop

  • Thanks everyone!!!!

  • Whos the guy singing the chorus... and I know its not mos def. I'm pretty sure his name is alby or something. Someone pleeeeeeeeeeeeze tell me!

  • @ThatFailedAbortion It actually is Mos Def.

  • @ThatFailedAbortion I looked it up.

  • His newer albums are great and all, but this and his older albums like LR, Graduation, etc. Are all things that everybody can relate to, but now what he's rappin about. I can't relate to being rich and famous, but songs like these have universal meaning, and that's what makes Kanye's older stuff so much better!

  • @kotoSTOMP you cant relate but i think in kanye's new albums (MBDTF), he talks about how being rich and famous is just a distraction from his problems but and the end of the day, it does not get rid of his problems.

  • @yathy16 just because hes a ego that talk expresses his feelings does not make it a problem. Life is not black and white

  • @Rodmusset Of course life is not black and white but it's Kanye's music, so at the end of the day his lyrics will be whatever or however he feels

  • @yathy16

He didn't talk about being rich and famous in MBDTF... If anything he was talking about problems he was going through. Lost in the world? Hell of a Life? Blame game? All of the lights? Devil in a new dress? These songs were talking about shit that's messed up in his life, mostly about women problems, but some were about just problems in the world. Sure he did talk about expensive stuff and how he was famous but that wasn't the main point, if anything it added tot he problems.

  • @megamixa ya

  • im famous lol

  • Goodbye to Deondre 8/23/93-8/6/11 as a matter of fact Good Night bruh I'll see u when the Lord come get me

  • It's been 3 years since I last listened to this ...... Some Kanye songs are very meaningful

  • @KingDcome11 its mostly mos def

  • i dont wanna say goodbye to u so il just say goodnight..

  • I mean so lol

  • @jeangeniex3 totally agree swift is a stupid cunt she got owned by kanye lol and rightfully show

  • i love mos def voice

  • One of the very very few songs that I like and respect by Kanye. If only he didn't sell out. But the meaning and lyrics of this song is very nice.

  • Mos def's voice is mad chill. Nice to listen to. Like on don't look down

  • Mos Def - Beauty in the Dark (Music video by SOSA REAL)

  • Graduation > 808's :]

  • On the day i Graduate,May 28th, 2011, I'm going to listen to this whole album all day long.

  • @yup2211 Happy Graduation.

  • @yup2211 hey i also graduated on may 28th 2011! :)

  • at 0:41 start the song. 3min 6sec is the real length.

  • @HaveYouHeardTheStory wow your comment is so stupid

  • Comment removed

  • Such a good song... its stuck in my head haha

  • people you never got a chance to say bye to . . .

  • you need to buy the album on itunes to get it.

  • <3

  • Wake up like everyday new you!!!!

  • So much more talented than Swift will ever be.

  • This song is in the album

  • Dream beautiful and unusual

  • This When Kayne West Starving For Money , Man Fuk This Days

  • @laverkfc4stitching How was he starving whhen this came out he already dropped to platinum albums and produced numerous hits for other ppl

  • @drynsacrcadtic360 i live in new york and bought the cd here i dont know if that matters or not

  • @drynsarcadtic360 I try rewinding the first track to get to track '00 but it didn't work

  • Damn I wish this song was on the cd but it's only on I tune.why people hating on kanye he be putting it down for the past year and y'all nigga over looking him at his hard work he be putting in.I bet y'all the same people that are saying gucci & waka flocks is hot

  • @gab184th it is on the CD. it's a hidden track, just google "pregap".

  • @DrynSarcastic360 hey thanks.but i was trying to get the hidden track and didnt find it.where is it before track one or after big brother.thats if you know how to do it

  • @gab184th It's before Track One.

  • we miss those oldies... fuk man ... money ruined them...

  • @hatehaters494. You are right. 808's was a genius move for kanye. I loved that album. I feel like kanye can make any kind of music he wants and shouldn't care about what anybody else thinks. Music is music. Nobody said shit cuz Michael Jackson sings or usher or Justin timberlake. Why can't kanye sing? Finally, somebody who knows what music really is.

  • i think hiphop and such there arent many REAL things anymore

dont get me wrong im a hiphop lover but most of them are meaningless i mean listen relapse EMinem is awesome but what was relapse

and who the hell is lil wayne bulsh*t

  • kanye's relatable lyrics are what made him popular in the sense of mainstream success...yea he was known for his blueprint production but even then most hip hop heads couldn't pick his face out of a lineup...yea not every song on "808s" is deep, neither us every song on "black on both sides"...mos and ye are similar artists

  • I love mos def and Kanye, and as perfect mos defs rapping is, I love it so much when he sings. I dunno why. But like that song MODERN MARVEL he did, is one of my favorite songs ever.

  • people that disliked the 808 have no sense when it comes to music, i bet people would like it if he autotuned jus saying pussy, bitches, cars, money but he spoke his mind and spit about the shit he was goin through and at that time it was about his heart break...thats what rap was meant for is to spit the legit shit....dont be mad kanye is a lyrical genius... just accept the fact hes got a big ego because he deserves to have one.

  • this reminds me of a 2 player level song of Sonic 2 for some reason

  • were can i find this instrumental ???????? i got mad ideas for this beat

  • @emanuelmatias1994 just search for kanye west goodnight instrumental

  • @ImSoGangsta97 i tired but i couldn't find it

  • the Mighty Mos Def coulda wrecked this track if he spit. But alls good. This song means alot to me. Me and my true, real, friends just walkin down the street singing this song on a cold Northwest day. All is good. Peace & Love.

  • Damn...anybody help me...who know where i can get this instrumental or instrumental remake?pleeeaaasseee......

  • @dahii74

k you actually think his lyrics made him popular? Your a dumbass for saying that, because his producing skills for Roc-A-Fella records is what put him on the map. I'm guessing your just a bandwagon who doesnt know shit about music. Big Brother's a good song, but if you honestly think those lyrics are the most "genius" you've ever listened to, you need a history lesson on 90's rap. Don't get me wrong, Kanye is a music genius, but his lyrics weren't the originators to his popularity

  • @adrianhiotis

I'm a huge Kanye fan, but your right it was his production on that Blueprint 1 that put him on the map.

  • @adrianhiotis 100% agree. his lyrics are good too ( all falls down e.g.) but you cannot compare him to the likes of talib kweli, mos def, common.

  • Graduation was definitely an amazing album but The College Dropout will always be my favourite.

  • lol 808's album was all meaninful? be careful with that, only a few songs were. I don't think a song about saying how he calls him amazing is really "deep" and "meaningful". kanye should stick with his beats, cuz his lyrics arent the reason why his songs are popular, just chorus and beats. Pretty much modern rap all over again, chorus and beats, lacking a real in depth lyric. Listening to Mos Def's album Black on Both Sides is a real album

  • @adrianhiotis

If you think that his lyrics aren't the thing that made him popular, just listen to 'Big Brother'. I've never seen such genius lyrics.

  • who gives a fuck bout yallz opinions lol...

  • nice chill out song

  • Good night :)

  • my favorite songg.

  • no joke 1 ov d best song ever, mos defs lyrics and sincerity in his voice, fuckin hits hme

  • Niiice !

  • does anyone have the instrumental?

  • it is kanye, its a hidden track on the UK version of the album

  • no this is on the mixtape before gradution came out

  • Where can I get this this songs the shit

  • sampled supercat nuff man dead

  • wat a rebal a poofta be more like a brother mon bon marley dopen like wot ya

  • sounds like they sampled parts of a 311 song for the beat in the background.

  • nope...they sampled U-Roy's Wake the Town, which was sampled by 311 on their song "Omaha Stylee".

  • no its supercat nuff man dead

  • Yeah, the vocals at 0:42 from Super Cat and the sample of the guy saying "People" in the background is from U-Roy's Wake the Town.

  • @spongebobfan879 Dawn Penn used that sample for her song "Oh No No"

  • Good night baby gurl....

  • This song was on the Sky high mixtape!

  • kanye .... come back my boy...come back...

  • When did he leaveeee???

  • Long ago my friend lonnng ago....

  • i dont think so. Name 1 album youve heard from kanye and was like "omg THIS SHIT IS WHACKKK!" you cant, there are none!

    College Drop Out-FIRE

    Late Registration-FIRE

    Graduation-FIRE

    808's-FIREE!

    All four albums FIREEE!

  • I mean his attitude.

    not his music making abilities

  • It's all subjective but I think 808's is pretty damn wack.

  • listening to that i get u...i mean 808s was also a great album, but this stuff.....its just timeless...Graduation, best album ever

  • Id say Graduation is probablly tied with Late Rgistration bro. Then again, Late might be slightly better.

  • @Eld0ubleU graduation was immaculate. but i personally think late registration will always be a classic!

  • @Eld0ubleU Late Registration!!!

  • @Eld0ubleU Late Registration and MBDTF Shits on Graduation but that is my opinion.

  • is this song real??

  • yeah, it was a bonus track on the Japanese version of Graduation (so I heard)

  • actually, not japanese version, the album released in japan i meant

  • Comment removed

  • yo dont try to be a smart-ass brah, dis song coulda been a blend or a dj mix n i wouldnt have known. figured a dude who makes beats woulda known dat. stfo

  • yo u a fuckin dumbass who dont know shit, only reason why u sayin shit is because he wasnt rappin in his last album

  • Pokemon is cool...

  • lolol so random :D

  • that dude who said 50 was better then kanye has no taste in good music

are you foreal? 50 is some shittt!!

  • Okay this is where you have to know where to draw a line. If you feel that Kanye West is better then 50 then that is cool. But to say that "50 is some shittt" is not cool. They both are intelligent individuals with a talent that deserves respect. They both just express themselves differently.

  • I can't agree with you more!

  • Thank you. lol

  • i mean i do respect 50 his shitt was hot back in the day atleast.. it just seems like he sold outt

  • You are entitled to your opinion so i won't critics you for that. Just be easy on the artists, everyone falls.

  • and even when you listen to his old shit now.. its just not the same.. i mean like he has a song high all the time and he never smoked weed!!!! how can he call himself a 'real' rapper like pac was.. hes a fake!!

  • 50 cent does have talent but to say he intelligent is pushing it. he is a big dumb monster

  • No he has some talent he is a highly intellectual being thats why he has so much money.

  • being highly intellectual is not directly correlated to having money.

  • i agree with erez2230

  • u r retarded 4 that 1

  • 50 cant rap for shit.....Kanye can.......50 cant make a beat period.......Kanye makes dope beats......U just dont know shit bout rap dawg real talk...........

  • dudee...you r freakin me out now...this is isnt rap...this is POKEMON...not close to rap...fifty is the right man for rap...the whole world knows.

  • lol ur stupid

  • that's of course why Kanye had more album sales.. because 50 was soo much better. It's just a shame he didn't quit like he said he would if Kanye sold more than him.

  • You are a fucking dumbass.

  • yeah yeah...but not more than kanye...:D.speak the truth for god's sake...dont live into dreams

  • 1K1DD23 your a effin twit

i personally think kanye is amazing he is by far the best lyrical genious i have ever heard and i really dont care what u think, cos in my eyes he's amazing and i cant wait to finally see him live in a few months

'So you better antagonize off this shit dick face and listen to real mutherfuckin music cunt. "

kanyes west is real music! i suppose you think that what you listen to is real music tho right? lol fool dont disrespect other ppls taste u have no right

  • i agree, kanye is the man

  • What about Lupe? Pharrell's pretty good too...but they get small publicity, but maybe it's cuz' they don't want it.

  • I hate the auto tune shit but still kanye spits hip hop...but gone are the days of real real hip hop, with mos def jay z pac big, ll, kool, big l, rakim, nas, and them

  • true, mos def, wu tang, and nas still make records, but they get so little publicity and promotion now its insane

  • 1K1DD23 your a fucking idiot all his albums have been doing exactly that ...

not to mention his old old ass shit and yet he's still keeping his shit on lock. everything is here for you to hear so stop being a fucking narrow minded pussy and go and check.

  • your kidding me right

then what tha fuck is that "Amazing" shit I keep hearing. I dont care if thats his ego but please man. I liked it better when he was a real mc. Even true hip-hop heads would say this. I listen to underground now. So you better antagonize off this shit dick face and listen to real mutherfuckin music cunt.

  • I bet anything alot of you bitches gonna blow me off. That money bling type shit didn't grow up on Hip-Hop! DJing, MCing, Graffiti, & B-Boying did. It was for the people to live out of misery. Just have peace, fun, unity, and love. Now the topp dog CEO's are destroying that along with there puppets formally being known as rappers. Really can you blame em' only the fans you can. I'm not saying kanye's shit is garbage I used to love him but really he need to get on his game as being an MC!

  • What bothers me is that people gave me two thumbs down

and really kanye is not an Emcee

    I think he's more of a Entertainer/Rapper

I don't see him uplifting people from opression and depression. Where do you see Hip-Hop's finest in that. Really I stopped listening after Graduation cause alot of this autotune biter shit ain't original. And Hip-Hop is original. You need to be loyal to the game. This is why Hip-Hop is dead. It still remains underneath the surface and cracks of the earth!

  • i gave you thumbs up on both, for the simple fact you was just spittin truths, but kanye is a lyricist. proly not to the degree in which you hold ur personal library but non the list his he properly conveys his message in an articulate way

  • loved this track for a while but always wondered...

who originally sung that line "im not sure any more more/ who is knockin at my door door" ?

and why does it sound like tony yayo "when i part/ my art will live thru you"

  • FAB

  • man i wish could stop tym like a photogtraph KANYE IS FIIIIIRRREE YEEEHHH BWOOIII KANYE IS THE SHIT FUCK RACSIM MAKE MUSIC NOT HATE

  • i love it

  • I have this on my ipod lol

    When he means goodnight

    does kanye mean he's gone

cause right now he's not so hot as he was when he did college dropout, late registration, and Graduation.....!?! Ever since 808' and heartbreaks he just went down under....I still like him though if he just went back to being an emcee it'd be great!!!

  • man where did u download it from fam, limewire? hit me up man...

  • Idk

I just looked it up on google

and there was this fileshare thing and it let me download it

    I dont remember lol

I got the whole song. I wish I can post it up but I can't! Cause I dont have it in my file anymore. But I do have the kanye west graduation album.

  • lol k thanks for letting me know!

  • Y is people saying he went down under 808 that album was so hot ppl need to open they mind the man step out the box in did something aint no other rapper did and look wats happening now everybody want to come out with a album wit auto tunes the man is a pure music genuis give credit to him and go listen "Jay z and kanye west - run this" and tell me if he went down

  • Yea, Ye is one of the VERY few people to do autotune right. 808's was very personal and closed minded so called "real hip hop" fans rejected it because it wasnt the Kanye usual. Instead of trying to make a gay rap song with autotune (unlike most rappers) Kanye used it more as an instrument to convey the feelings that he couldnt show through normal rapping.

True, he does have an enormous ego, but he is one of the few in this new generation to provide someting real and meaningful.

  • Couldn't have said it any better. Kanye = true Hip-Hop not that commercial shit.

  • @VINCEJisSONiCtheMC yeah, he definetly is a great musician. he was put on this earth to make music. but he used his talent the wrong way. he could ve donne soo much better! of course an artist should always try to evolve and not do the same thing on and on. But he has gone to far, he should go back to late reg. days! but this song is really beautiful! any song with mos def is :)

  • @VINCEJisSONiCtheMC good shit ma nigga... i tried to explain this to sooo many ppl.

  • i think he is if you listen to flight school. idk tho i hope he is

  • THANK YOU FOR POSTING

  • this is kind of an unknown kanye song but its deffinately my favorite

  • this song is fireeeee kanye is a beast hes one of the truest in hip hop today

  • this is a bonus track it was only relased in japan

  • I don't understand why he would do that. Like, wouldn't he want everyone to hear ALL of his album? And why Japan?

  • thought it was the UK?
