  • Hello everyone! Let us remember that Jesus did teach us to love, forgive, and be righteous/perfect, just as our Father in heaven is. HOWEVER, we find God, or we're reconciled to Him (and hence saved) through our faith in Jesus Christ as our personal savior, not our good works. Jesus said "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me."

  • I'm not here to judge or condemn anyone to hell. I'm only here to advise on the basis of my faith. I understand that an enquiring mind is healthy, but Jesus said that only through the practise of love, forgiveness and righteousness do we find God and it's a narrow path and few are finding it. There's a new age movement that's seducing many right now, teaching that WE ARE GOD, therefore no need to repent etc. This is the apple we're all taking a bite from to 'become like God'. Do not be deceived

  • **Ran Out Of Space** One thing to always keep in mind is God will NEVER go against his own living word, which is the Bible. Also, keep in mind Jesus words to Phillip in John 14:12. And aside from that, I would say the main thing is this: Scripture says to "test the spirits." (1 John 4:1-6) Simple fact being, God gives us discernment for a reason, if you have a check in your spirit or you're doubting something then I would say apply 1 John 4:1-6.

  • As far as the shaking, the animal behavior (ie. barking, crawling around on fours, howling, etc) those are most DEFINITELY NOT of the HOLY Spirit. Yes, they are from A spirit, but NOT the HOLY Spirit. The Bible in no way, shape, or form justifies this type of behavior as being from that of the HOLY Spirit. However, scripture does tell us what the gifts from the HOLY Spirit are in 1Corinthians 12. Any other manifestation NOT specified within this scripture is most likely NOT from the HOLY Spirit.

  • speaking in other tounges is a gift of the spirit, but there is a false spirit many of them mocking the holy spirit with all that barking like a dog and things like that.

  • How is speaking in tongues of man a "spiritual" gift? I don't need God to teach me Spanish I can learn it on my own. But I cannot learn the tongues of Angels as Paul called the gift. For anyone who speaks in a tongue does not speak to men but to God. Indeed, no one understands him; he utters mysteries with his spirit. 1Cr14:2. Why would God need me to speak Russian? How would speaking Russian edify my spirit? --These are just arguments AGAINST tongues NOT being a heavenly language.

  • @kingdomanointed These "gifts" are not from God. These types of false gifts scare adults and children and could easily turn them away from church. That is definetly not what God wants. Unfortunately, you just revealed someyhing about yourself in you comments. you said that you "don't need God " to teach you. Friend, we need God in every step we take. You also stated that gifts should edify "your spirit". We are to edify the church of Jesus Christ, not ourselves. Love you in the name of Jesus.

  • @fallout101s What "gifts"are u speaking of? If you are speaking of acting like animals and such, I never said that they were "gifts" nor from God . Also, I NEVER said I don't need God in general, please read what I said. Also, I did not say gifts should edify the individual I said speaking in tongues should , that's what the Word says. Read 1 Cor.14:1. Thanks for your comment and grace and peace to you.

  • He who prophesies is greater than one who speaks in tongues, unless he interprets, so that the church may be edified. 1Cr14:5. Why would one have to interpret a language of man if he is speaking to a group who speaks the same language. For example: why would I have to interpret Chinese to Chinese people? Would they not understand their own language? Selah

  • Speaking in tongues, according to the context of the bible, meant speaking in a different language, but the language was understood by at least one group of people or a nation. (So that the word of God could be spread.)

  • @indigothecat He who prophesies is greater than one who speaks in tongues, unless he interprets, so that the church may be edified If I come to you and speak in tongues, what good will I be to you, unless I bring you some revelation or knowledge or prophecy or word of instruction?1Cr14:5-6. Tongues IS a language of heaven not of man. It is to edify the body w/ words from the Father. It brings prophecy, instruction etc. How is interpreting a foreign tongue beneficial for such things?

  • use dicernment check the spirit. all these things are not false, but some are indeed

partial truths, this clown needs to read the whole bible

  • speaking in tongues is not of the devil my friend! but that howling, laughing and all that shaking and strange behavior is definitely evil! JESUS shows that in the book of Acts2:4 people speak in tongues!
