  • This movie caught me so off guard, extremely funny, yet extremely spiritual. So I drag my family and friends to the theater only too discover that either you loved it or hated it (my sister-in-law; ie. church lady, wanted it burned). I own a VHS version I was lucky to find at a video store going out of business.

  • The film is brilliant, and the book is even better. A masterpiece.

  • PS Thanks so much for posting.

  • I dearly love this movie.. it is my all-time favorite film. It beats the Coen Brothers "Miller's Crossing" and Polanski's "Chinatown" (those are films i *deeply* love). I don't know what it is about this film that resounds so solidly with me but I have never expected another human being to react to it in the same way that I do. I am never disappointed when they don't.

Not available on Region 1 DVD but I bought the Reg 2 Anniversary DVD. We have a multi-region player.

  • the story of harry joy is for me one of the greatest stories ever told. excellent i have it on video which i got from amazon i think.

  • Fantastic movie! I'm old enough that I was in my early 20's when this was released. I loved it so much, more like haunted by it, I bought it PAL format DVD and got an all-region player to watch it. Thanks for finding the trailer.

  • Well there certainly are not many of us alive that love this film. Did everyone look for this for years like me? I'm 41 and watched it when I was 16 and ever since I have been trying to get it again! Does anyone know where you can buy it? It's definitely in the Top 10 Movies of all time for me.

  • I gotta watch this again- a great movie- like they say below, this is the only bliss (on YouTube )

  • Love this film

  • I saw this film many years ago, maybe a year after it came out.

  • Most original Oz film late 20th century. A real director with a vision. Misunderstood film. Great film. A classic. The rest, Lantana, Jindabyne are actors film. Yes with a deft directors touch, but all theatre. Not cinema. Gone is vision.

  • One of my fave films of all time.

  • thanks for adding this video! i think it's the only trace of bliss on youtube. it's a great movie!
