If you watch all the performances of this song in chronological order, you can see his soul slowly shrivel until he's just not there anymore. Not that he's all that charismatic to begin with, but obviously singing the same song in the exact same way like a thousand times -- to the delight mostly of teenage idiots who may or may not realize they're the kids with the pumped-up kicks -- will have a not-so-invigorating effect.

what the general public fails to realize is that when new bands eagerly jump to sign-on with big name producers, their binding contracts enforce them producing SOME music good/bad, just profit no quality control. Bands used to throw-out their crappy songs, now they turn them over for release with anything else and it's the general public that pays the price. Our children are growing-up thinking it's ok for all music to suck!
