Man...somebody lent me a cassette recording with this song back in 1991 and I forgot to record it and returned it to it's owner. Years passed without remembering who san this song, and today....mannnnnnnnnn, I finally found it. Thanks to you, gregersgram
As much as I love Tony Mills, I can't help but miss TH.
BTW this is one of Tony Mills's favorite TNT songs but Ronni refuses to do ballads live for some dumbass reason. No offense Ronni, but it would be nice to hear that again.
Randyrocket, Tell no tales ca sold a total of 1.7 millon copies alone. Intuition sold 900 000 copies, My religion sold 687 000 copies. And then you have all the other ones. I was told it was a total of 5 976 000 albums world wide. Thats including Atlantis, who only have sold 78 000 copies
Where does the part at 2.34 come from? I have heard it before. Is it a classical piece? I think Helloween or a other power metal-band has used it also!
It's not their fault. The tv shows often considered that it was too "expensive" and too much "work" to put up a live preformance, that's why. And I agree with you, it sucks!
I read that the guitarist of TNT, Ronni Le Tekrö, has sold circa 3 million albums (with TNT and his other projects). I guess TNT has sold almost 3 million albums.
Tony's still out going strong. He's in a project called Starbreaker with Fabrizio Grossi (bass/producer), Magnus Karlsson (guitar) and John Macaluso (drums, also formerly with TNT). If I'm not mistaken, Jonni Lightfoot is taking over on bass soon, if he hasn't already. Definitely worth checking out, and I think they are going out on tour pretty soon. I know a couple people who worked with them when they were getting the project together, and got to hear a couple tracks. Sweet stuff imho...
Please come back Tony Harnell. He Ronnie and Diesel is TNT.The new singer Tony Mils SUCKS big time. Can`t understand they don´t see that!Tony Harnell forewer.
Backgrounds and music is all pre-recorded, all thats live is Harnel's vocals. Check and watch the solo carefully, and tell em jsut where is the background guitar playing chords while he's wailing out the solo?
Tony Harnell went to the same high school I did in San Diego. I met at a show there. He was the nicest guy ever. Ronnie Le Tekro is one of the most underrated guitarist of all time. He's up ther with Adrian Vandenberg,Warren DiMartini,Jake E. Lee, Schenker,Akira Takasaki{Loudness).
No doubt, but don't forget GEORGE LYNCH AND VITO BRATTA, I felt Vito would be the next Eddie V. but it was not to be, you can hear the Halen style in Vito's playing though, and Goerge blew my mind "live" in 87/88, saw them 4 times, check out Mr. Scary! Rock on!
If this ballad hadn't been recorded, we wouldn't have heard that killer guitar solo... and talk about full, wrap-around your head vocal harmony. OMG.. TNT is the perfect band that never got the airplay it deserved in the US.
TNT are great but Harnell's voice should sing rock song and songs like TNT's 10.000 lovers and Intitution(or whatever it's called) not this it juts doesn't sound good. Sure the song is great but Harnell's voice needs rock song not ballads/power ballads. But he's got an amazing voice tough.
Well no see compare Harnell with rock singers like Kevin duBrow, Joey Tempest, mike Tramp, Bruce(don't know the surname, who sings in Iron Maiden) and so on they can sing ballads cos they got voices that suits to ballads and rock songs. Harnell has a great voice that can sing most stuff but he should keep to rock songs since he has a quite high voice compared to many other rock singers who to power ballads or ballads
Sounds like you haven't heard songs like "Lionheart", "Wisdom", "Month of sundays", "Fantasia Espanola", "Limbo", "Heart song", "Perfectly" or what Tony Harnell did with "What a wonderful world" during TNT's christmas apperance in 2005. Tony Harnell doesnt have *just* a high voice, he got a very low voice too. It sounds to me that you haven't heard enough Harnell material.
I know what you mean and no honestly I haven't heard much of his solo stuff no but I've heard as much TNT as I can. I knwo he can sing very low and sure he probably can sing ballads very good but I was more refering to this one song. You obviously got me wrong and i got you wrong. Besides this is a live concert and they're for most of the time worse than the actual studio recording.
That is the dumbest thing I have ever heard...Although I love Dubrow (RIP, Mike Tramp and Tempest they are nowhere near the vocal talent that Tony is. Bruce is in a league all his own
I know what you mean but they're still in the same league just that they sing so different stuff all of them and yes Bruce(family name anyone?) is one of a kind I really love his voice. They're all amazing in their way.
Joey Tempest is at the same level as Harnell is and they both are incredible singers.I like both Europe and TNT.And it's Bruce Dickinson, the lead singer of Iron Maiden.
mike tramp. lol i like white lion but plz he is just nothing compared to harnell. matter of fact he is probably the worst singer of the 80's hair metal movement. i like his music but nothing on tony!!!!!!!
@Sistersmf Tell No Tales will feed your "Tony doing rock songs" cravings. But yeah, they sure got some cheesy songs, but they are still good as hell. Tony is surely one of the best vocalists from that era, along with mike from steelheart, michael sweet, jim gillette, kiske from helloween, bruce dickinson, geoff tate, dio and the list can go a bit longer, but u know, mind block.
could be a homage to him, because they are also norwegians...there is another 80s song i know in which is a part of Grieg's "Hall of the Mountain King"
Oh my guasch TNT have like known who they are for 2 days and I already love them only one thing they sound so much like Europe this is like Norway's Europe. Sure there'e a big difference but it's really tough looking guys and they sing with this really calm voice. I think it's great though love them.
Killer performance! Nothing more to say. The band was at the peak at that time. Compare this to the new album and you will see why so many longtime TNT fans hate `The New Territory´. No Tony Harnell=no TNT! Easy as that!
Great song from a truly great album. It's seems that all but lead singer is coming from the tape. So what, that's the way it's done today in many cases.
monitor mix has gotta be the problem b/c he's all over the place esp in the intro....it's tough to get your bearings in a big hall and that piano piece is kind of meandering, tony's definetely flat and sharp, yes
ya, he's horrible here, but i HAVE seen the band live and he's amazing. one of the newspaper's back then said he was in the league with freddie mercury for great vocalists.

Tony Harnell IS TNT. He's like Freddie Mercury and Robert Plant - no one can replace them.
I hope Harnell returns to TNT some day.
(Tony) Mills is a good singer, but he doesn' fit in the band.
Why did TNT use fucking playback? I'm disappointed. The could have used the background vocals as playback, but not the whole music.
