  • What exactly is this useful for?

  • @JerwuQu nothing really much. Can use it for a frequency generator, or a pulse modulator

  • haven't you got a solderless bread board?

  • @ConnorXV Not at that time.

  • @juniortore1 ok, before i blagged one from school it was a nightmare making test circuits

  • @ConnorXV I finally for sick of blowing my circuits by not connecting it right so i finally pulled the three dollars out of my ass and bought a little one on ebay. I burned that out after a lot of use though. I need another at some point.

  • i found an very simple solution, instead of just tuning the frequency here is the simpliest solution: power up the 555 play some music and then disconnect the pot from the pin 7 and 6, hope this helps :D

  • i put a 200nF capacitor in the pin 5 and a 4,7nF in the 2+6 :DDD

  • now the arcs is orange! with musik! its so cool!!!

  • yes or a full bridge with 4 irfp260n!

HEY i made this driver, but its with a small transistor irf540 )27A

    its amazing!! :DDD

  • @08Kutt lol, I am glad it worked for you

  • i will put a 13nF capacitor in the pins 2+6, whats your capacitor "1"??

  • @08Kutt between 2 and 6? timing capacitor goes between (2+6) and 1. I used 10nf, the higger the uF, the lower the frequency

  • @juniortore1 yeah i understand, so i have a 8.2nF capacitor do you think it should be better? hahaha its very difficult to explain, i need to test to know i think XDDD

  • i know its impossible, but if the frequecy was over 350KHZ (+- air ressonance frequency), we could put a tesla coil in the output without spark gap! XDD do you know whats +/- the maxx frequency of that circuit?

  • @08Kutt Wellll, most average 555 timers go to about 500Khz, But some you can buy can do up to 3Mhz. Well, I dont know if I would recommend making an SSTC with the single mosfet idea. If you want to do SSTC with that 555, you want to make a half bridge.

  • hey, have you tried with a 100nF capacitor in the pin 5?? like in the schematic?

  • @08Kutt yep, its like having nothing. Trust me, go with 4.2uF 50v electrolytic, that seems to work best

  • I was really turned on to see a schematic, once again.! ..i mean one i had a Reason to relate to.! ..it's been Years..!!

  • @davie4monster Well, there will be more for you :)

  • Torre, awesome is very bright. I Have to advise him.!

  • Multi-colored spaghetti. Yum! :p ~ I'll take your word for everything said in this vid. As for the ultra-sonic frequency, watch all of the neighborhood animals go batshit. :p

  • @maintoc LOL, I can only imagine what my cats think of a moving arc that makes a very high pitched noise :D

  • Dude you need to invest into a breadboard! Those tangled wired messes are usually not a good sign :P

  • @zker666 Thanks for the positive feedback =P

I know, I know. When I get a few bucks, I will buy one.

  • @juniortore1 Gee, it's a good thing no one else suggested this to you, months ago. :p

  • I have a 555, coincidentally. XD i can make a very crappy buzzer thing from an electronics set, but it just makes one tone. My dad had slightly rewired it for me so I can play with the sounds. It was able to be messed with, the frequency, with a type of resistor that I don't usuallty forget the name of.. a pa.. not a photoresistor... a... not a variable resistor, a p.. it started with p. I can;'t believe I forgot it! what exactly did you do? -_- it looks cool.

  • @awesomelightning A variable resistor, thats another name for it... Potentiometer AKA - POT

  • @juniortore1 AHH! Thanks I know that it just skipped my mind.

  • @awesomelightning // That part of you mind that it skipped out of, don't RELY on that part so much. Instead, Let you self feel the nerves in your body, and trust that things will just come out from there and into your mouth, when they NEED to.

  • @davie4monster It always happens when I NEED to say it. XD and it comes when I don't.

  • @awesomelightning // Yes, this happens to me, and tons other ppl. It's an anxious situation though, that makes it happen. Cuz we're trained (by women), with thousands of impatient question-answer situations, to hurry up and come out with the words. ( or the answer to sumtin ). ..But males are different. ..and we need to feel a Picture comming up, some-how. ..Whut you need to do is try the tip i gave you when no-one is around. ...More later.

  • @davie4monster uhh.... I am a girl.

  • @awesomelightning then read it reverse And it will make sense to a girl xD

  • @juniortore1 ROFLMFAO!

  • @awesomelightning // Wow, I've never seen a female so interested in electricity. And, well there are differences between the way the male mind, and the female mind think. So, i've been addressing you as though you were male. Who was to know..??

  • @davie4monster XD yes a 13 year old girl fascinated by it. Who wants a tesal coil for her birthday.

  • birds nest 555? YUK!

  • @ubuntupokemoninc xD I am surprised it even works. I will be getting some breadboards soon as this is just a MESS!

  • Good video. But a hint. IDK if you mention it, but PLEASE add a capacitor to that pin 5!!!!!! I do at least 4uF, its MUCH MUCH MUCH louder and higher quality!!! For me at least. My 555 modulator is as clear as the MP3 it self...

  • @PhxSt0rmz wait??? I stick a 4uF capacitor in series with the audio input and the pin 5?

I thought you were only supposed to use .1uF, whatever. You know more than me when it comes to this. Then tomorrow I will try it.

  • @juniortore1 Heck no! I do 4-10uF. Schematics say 4uF. Hope it helps, good luck.

  • @PhxSt0rmz And does this go in series with the audio pole to pin 5?

  • @juniortore1 Yes. series from MP3 to 555 pin 5. Electrolytic work fine...Just put the negitive side to the 555, and the positive side to audio.
