Oh...Well from the video it looks like the grenade was thrown on the ground in front of the terrorist and inbetween the Company Commander and himself. Upon seeing the grenade thrown, without hesitation the Company Commander runs toward the terrorist, grabs him from the front, then twists him around to where the IDF soldier is now holding the Arab in front of him and immediately the grenade explodes sweeping the IDF soldier to the ground a few yards back.

well described but dont seem to fit to the video, one question , who trhew the grenade, and if it was the man he held , then he trew it very short way, one meter or two, the commander was many meters away , so why run towards a live grenade.

If you look closely the grenade itself turns "hot" right before it explodes indicated by a large black ball in the center of the explosion cloud just before it goes off. The injuries the Company Commander recieved were no doubt hearing loss and just straight up a little physical burning and chaffing and maybe some bruising from the force of being knocked back. But it appears that the terrorist that he was making face the grenade was completely annihilated by the blast.
