Actually your all about fucking stupid I race my KTM sxf250 in d16 and D23 thats the minnisota boys... and D23 is one of the fastest districts in the country... Thats were Doungey and Alex Martin are from and raced and Alex's parents own Spring Creek and ive raced both litesA and open A.... and actually 250 2strokes are allowed to race with the 250 4strokes in the lites classes sooo there ya go boys just a little knowledge from an actual racer

right, what was the cause of the so called "blow ups", yamahas are INCREDIBLY reliable bikes, i SERIOUSLY doubt that you frequently replaced oil, oil filter, air filter, checked valve clearance, cam chain tightness/stretch, piston/barrel condition etc, when maintained properly, yamahas are the most reliable 4 strokes out there. And i know that you're going to post back anyway saying that you did check all of that stuff, dont bother, i know it will be bullshit, it was your fault the "blew up".

i have a 250 2smoke ktm now as i got tired of the high maintanence of four strokes (to keep race ready, as you listed) but my point was that when i had 4 stroke ktms they handled being on the stopper, whats the point of a bike that cant handle a good rider?

good on you, well i respect your point, admittedly yamaha's aren't the fastest four strokes but they are tuned in order to be ridden taking advantage of low-mid range power, (for a less experienced rider) so perhaps the ktm was the better option for your skill level. i am currently selling my yz 125 to purchase a 250f because as i said, theyre more suited to a less experienced rider due to the spread of torque.
